ಆಗ ಬೇತೇಲಿನಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಪ್ರವಾದಿಗಳ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಎಲೀಷನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದು ಅವನಿಗೆ--ಇಂದು ಕರ್ತನು ನಿನ್ನ ಯಜಮಾನನನ್ನು ನಿನ್ನ ಬಳಿಯಿಂದ ತಕ್ಕೊಳ್ಳುವನೆಂದು ತಿಳಿದಿದ್ದೀಯೋ ಅಂದರು.

ಪ್ರವಾದಿಗಳ ಮಕ್ಕಳಲ್ಲಿ ಐವತ್ತು ಮಂದಿ ಹೋಗಿ ದೂರದಲ್ಲಿ ಎದುರಾಗಿ ನಿಂತರು. ಆದರೆ ಆ ಇಬ್ಬರು ಯೊರ್ದನಿನ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಂತರು.

ಆಗ ಯೆರಿಕೋವಿನಲ್ಲಿ ರುವ ಪ್ರವಾದಿಗಳ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಎಲೀಷನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದು ಅವನಿಗೆ--ಕರ್ತನು ಇಂದು ನಿನ್ನ ಯಜಮಾನನನ್ನು ನಿನ್ನ ಬಳಿಯಿಂದ ತಕ್ಕೊಳ್ಳುವನೆಂದು ತಿಳಿದಿದ್ದೀಯೋ ಅಂದರು. ಅದಕ್ಕವನು--ನಾನು ಕೂಡ ಬಲ್ಲೆ, ಸುಮ್ಮನೆ ಇರ್ರಿ ಅಂದನು.
