2 Kings 18
1 ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಅರಸನಾಗಿರುವ ಏಲನ ಮಗನಾದ ಹೋಶೇಯನ ಆಳ್ವಿಕೆಯ ಮೂರನೇ ವರುಷದಲ್ಲಿ ಯೆಹೂದದ ಅರಸನಾಗಿರುವ ಆಹಾಜನ ಮಗನಾದ ಹಿಜ್ಕೀಯನು ಆಳಲು ಆರಂಭಿ ಸಿದನು.
2 ಅವನು ಆಳಲು ಆರಂಭಿಸಿದಾಗ ಇಪ್ಪ ತ್ತೈದು ವರುಷದವನಾಗಿದ್ದು ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಇಪ್ಪ ತ್ತೊಂಭತ್ತು ವರುಷ ಆಳಿದನು. ಅವನ ತಾಯಿಯ ಹೆಸರು ಅಬಿಯು; ಅವಳು ಜೆಕರ್ಯನ ಮಗಳಾಗಿದ್ದಳು.
3 ಅವನು ತನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯಾದ ದಾವೀದನು ಮಾಡಿದ ಹಾಗೆ ಕರ್ತನ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಗೆ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯದನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿದನು.
4 ಅವನು ಉನ್ನತ ಸ್ಥಳಗಳನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಹಾಕಿ, ವಿಗ್ರಹ ಗಳನ್ನು ಒಡೆದುಬಿಟ್ಟು, ತೋಪುಗಳನ್ನು ಕಡಿದುಹಾಕಿ, ಮೋಶೆಯು ಮಾಡಿದ ತಾಮ್ರದ ಸರ್ಪವನ್ನು ಚೂರುಚೂರು ಮಾಡಿದನು. ಆ ದಿವಸಗಳ ವರೆಗೂ ಇಸ್ರಾ ಯೇಲಿನ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಧೂಪಸುಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು. ಅದನ್ನು ತಾಮ್ರದ ತುಂಡು ಎಂದು ಅವನು ಕರೆದನು.
5 ಅವನು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನಲ್ಲಿ ಭರವಸವುಳ್ಳ ವನಾಗಿದ್ದನು; ಅವನಿಗೆ ಮುಂಚೆ ಇದ್ದವರಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಅವನ ತರುವಾಯ ಯೆಹೂದದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಅರಸುಗಳ ಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಅವನ ಹಾಗೆ ಇದ್ದವನು ಒಬ್ಬನೂ ಇಲ್ಲ.
6 ಅವನು ಕರ್ತನನ್ನು ಹಿಂಬಾಲಿಸುವದನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟುಬಿಡದೆ ಆತನಿಗೆ ಹೊಂದಿಕೊಂಡು ಕರ್ತನು ಮೋಶೆಗೆ ಆಜ್ಞಾ ಪಿಸಿದ ಆಜ್ಞೆಗಳನ್ನು ಕೈಕೊಂಡನು.
7 ಕರ್ತನು ಅವನ ಸಂಗಡ ಇದ್ದನು; ಅವನು ಯಾವ ಕಡೆಗೆ ಹೋದರೂ ಅವನಿಗೆ ಸಫಲವಾಗುತ್ತಿತ್ತು. ಅವನು ಅಶ್ಶೂರಿನ ಅರಸ ನನ್ನು ಸೇವಿಸದೆ ಅವನ ಮೇಲೆ ತಿರುಗಿ ಬಿದ್ದನು.
8 ಅವನು ಫಿಲಿಷ್ಟಿಯರನ್ನು ಗಾಜದ ವರೆಗೂ ಅದರ ಮೇರೆಗಳ ವರೆಗೂ ಕಾವಲುಗಾರರ ಬುರುಜುಗಳ ಮೊದಲುಗೊಂಡು ಕೋಟೆಯುಳ್ಳ ಪಟ್ಟಣದ ವರೆಗೂ ಸಂಹರಿಸಿದನು.
1 Now it came to pass in the third year of Hoshea son of Elah king of Israel, that Hezekiah the son of Ahaz king of Judah began to reign.
2 Twenty and five years old was he when he began to reign; and he reigned twenty and nine years in Jerusalem. His mother’s name also was Abi, the daughter of Zachariah.
3 And he did that which was right in the sight of the Lord, according to all that David his father did.
4 He removed the high places, and brake the images, and cut down the groves, and brake in pieces the brasen serpent that Moses had made: for unto those days the children of Israel did burn incense to it: and he called it Nehushtan.
5 He trusted in the Lord God of Israel; so that after him was none like him among all the kings of Judah, nor any that were before him.
6 For he clave to the Lord, and departed not from following him, but kept his commandments, which the Lord commanded Moses.
7 And the Lord was with him; and he prospered whithersoever he went forth: and he rebelled against the king of Assyria, and served him not.
8 He smote the Philistines, even unto Gaza, and the borders thereof, from the tower of the watchmen to the fenced city.

2 ಅವನು ಆಳಲು ಆರಂಭಿಸಿದಾಗ ಇಪ್ಪ ತ್ತೈದು ವರುಷದವನಾಗಿದ್ದು ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಇಪ್ಪ ತ್ತೊಂಭತ್ತು ವರುಷ ಆಳಿದನು. ಅವನ ತಾಯಿಯ ಹೆಸರು ಅಬಿಯು; ಅವಳು ಜೆಕರ್ಯನ ಮಗಳಾಗಿದ್ದಳು.

3 ಅವನು ತನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯಾದ ದಾವೀದನು ಮಾಡಿದ ಹಾಗೆ ಕರ್ತನ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಗೆ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯದನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿದನು.
And he did that which was right in the sight of the Lord, according to all that David his father did.
4 ಅವನು ಉನ್ನತ ಸ್ಥಳಗಳನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಹಾಕಿ, ವಿಗ್ರಹ ಗಳನ್ನು ಒಡೆದುಬಿಟ್ಟು, ತೋಪುಗಳನ್ನು ಕಡಿದುಹಾಕಿ, ಮೋಶೆಯು ಮಾಡಿದ ತಾಮ್ರದ ಸರ್ಪವನ್ನು ಚೂರುಚೂರು ಮಾಡಿದನು. ಆ ದಿವಸಗಳ ವರೆಗೂ ಇಸ್ರಾ ಯೇಲಿನ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಧೂಪಸುಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು. ಅದನ್ನು ತಾಮ್ರದ ತುಂಡು ಎಂದು ಅವನು ಕರೆದನು.

5 ಅವನು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನಲ್ಲಿ ಭರವಸವುಳ್ಳ ವನಾಗಿದ್ದನು; ಅವನಿಗೆ ಮುಂಚೆ ಇದ್ದವರಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಅವನ ತರುವಾಯ ಯೆಹೂದದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಅರಸುಗಳ ಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಅವನ ಹಾಗೆ ಇದ್ದವನು ಒಬ್ಬನೂ ಇಲ್ಲ.
He trusted in the Lord God of Israel; so that after him was none like him among all the kings of Judah, nor any that were before him.
6 ಅವನು ಕರ್ತನನ್ನು ಹಿಂಬಾಲಿಸುವದನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟುಬಿಡದೆ ಆತನಿಗೆ ಹೊಂದಿಕೊಂಡು ಕರ್ತನು ಮೋಶೆಗೆ ಆಜ್ಞಾ ಪಿಸಿದ ಆಜ್ಞೆಗಳನ್ನು ಕೈಕೊಂಡನು.
For he clave to the Lord, and departed not from following him, but kept his commandments, which the Lord commanded Moses.
7 ಕರ್ತನು ಅವನ ಸಂಗಡ ಇದ್ದನು; ಅವನು ಯಾವ ಕಡೆಗೆ ಹೋದರೂ ಅವನಿಗೆ ಸಫಲವಾಗುತ್ತಿತ್ತು. ಅವನು ಅಶ್ಶೂರಿನ ಅರಸ ನನ್ನು ಸೇವಿಸದೆ ಅವನ ಮೇಲೆ ತಿರುಗಿ ಬಿದ್ದನು.
And the Lord was with him; and he prospered whithersoever he went forth: and he rebelled against the king of Assyria, and served him not.
8 ಅವನು ಫಿಲಿಷ್ಟಿಯರನ್ನು ಗಾಜದ ವರೆಗೂ ಅದರ ಮೇರೆಗಳ ವರೆಗೂ ಕಾವಲುಗಾರರ ಬುರುಜುಗಳ ಮೊದಲುಗೊಂಡು ಕೋಟೆಯುಳ್ಳ ಪಟ್ಟಣದ ವರೆಗೂ ಸಂಹರಿಸಿದನು.
He smote the Philistines, even unto Gaza, and the borders thereof, from the tower of the watchmen to the fenced city.
