23 ಯೆಹೂದದ ಅರಸನಾದ ಅಜರ್ಯನ ಆಳ್ವಿಕೆಯ ಐವತ್ತನೇ ವರುಷದಲ್ಲಿ ಮೆನಹೇಮನ ಮಗನಾದ ಪೆಕಹನು ಸಮಾರ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಮೇಲೆ ಎರಡು ವರುಷ ಆಳಿದನು.
24 ಅವನು ಕರ್ತನ ಸಮ್ಮುಖ ದಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಟ್ಟದ್ದನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿದನು; ಅವನು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲನ್ನು ಪಾಪಮಾಡಲು ಪ್ರೇರೇಪಿಸಿದ ನೆಬಾಟನ ಮಗನಾ ದಂಥ ಯಾರೊಬ್ಬಾಮನ ಪಾಪಗಳನ್ನು ತೊರೆಯಲಿಲ್ಲ.
25 ಆದರೆ ಅವನ ಅಧಿಪತಿಯಾದಂಥ, ರೆಮಲ್ಯನ ಮಗನಾದ ಪೆಕಹನು ಅವನ ಮೇಲೆ ಒಳಸಂಚು ಮಾಡಿ ಅರ್ಗೋಬನ್ನೂ ಅರ್ಯೇಯನ್ನೂ ಗಿಲ್ಯಾದಿನ ಜನರಲ್ಲಿ ಐವತ್ತು ಮಂದಿಯನ್ನೂ ತನ್ನ ಸಂಗಡ ಕೂಡಿಸಿ ಕೊಂಡು ಸಮಾರ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಅರಸನಿಗಿದ್ದ ಅರಮನೆ ಯೊಳಗೆ ಅವನನ್ನು ಕೊಂದುಹಾಕಿ ಅವನಿಗೆ ಬದಲಾಗಿ ಅರಸನಾದನು.
26 ಇಗೋ, ಪೆಕಹನ ಇತರ ಕ್ರಿಯೆ ಗಳೂ ಅವನು ಮಾಡಿದ್ದೆಲ್ಲವೂ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಅರಸು ಗಳ ವೃತಾಂತಗಳ ಪುಸ್ತಕದಲ್ಲಿ ಬರೆಯಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಿವೆ.
23 In the fiftieth year of Azariah king of Judah Pekahiah the son of Menahem began to reign over Israel in Samaria, and reigned two years.
24 And he did that which was evil in the sight of the Lord: he departed not from the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who made Israel to sin.
25 But Pekah the son of Remaliah, a captain of his, conspired against him, and smote him in Samaria, in the palace of the king’s house, with Argob and Arieh, and with him fifty men of the Gileadites: and he killed him, and reigned in his room.
26 And the rest of the acts of Pekahiah, and all that he did, behold, they are written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel.

24 ಅವನು ಕರ್ತನ ಸಮ್ಮುಖ ದಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಟ್ಟದ್ದನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿದನು; ಅವನು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲನ್ನು ಪಾಪಮಾಡಲು ಪ್ರೇರೇಪಿಸಿದ ನೆಬಾಟನ ಮಗನಾ ದಂಥ ಯಾರೊಬ್ಬಾಮನ ಪಾಪಗಳನ್ನು ತೊರೆಯಲಿಲ್ಲ.

25 ಆದರೆ ಅವನ ಅಧಿಪತಿಯಾದಂಥ, ರೆಮಲ್ಯನ ಮಗನಾದ ಪೆಕಹನು ಅವನ ಮೇಲೆ ಒಳಸಂಚು ಮಾಡಿ ಅರ್ಗೋಬನ್ನೂ ಅರ್ಯೇಯನ್ನೂ ಗಿಲ್ಯಾದಿನ ಜನರಲ್ಲಿ ಐವತ್ತು ಮಂದಿಯನ್ನೂ ತನ್ನ ಸಂಗಡ ಕೂಡಿಸಿ ಕೊಂಡು ಸಮಾರ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಅರಸನಿಗಿದ್ದ ಅರಮನೆ ಯೊಳಗೆ ಅವನನ್ನು ಕೊಂದುಹಾಕಿ ಅವನಿಗೆ ಬದಲಾಗಿ ಅರಸನಾದನು.
But Pekah the son of Remaliah, a captain of his, conspired against him, and smote him in Samaria, in the palace of the king’s house, with Argob and Arieh, and with him fifty men of the Gileadites: and he killed him, and reigned in his room.
