2 Chronicles 20 - DBY (Kannada)

1 And it came to pass after this [that] the children of Moab, and the children of Ammon, and with them certain of the Maonites, came against Jehoshaphat to battle.1 ಇದರ ತರುವಾಯ ಏನಾಯಿತಂದರೆ, ಮೋವಾಬಿನ ಮಕ್ಕಳೂ ಅಮ್ಮೋನಿನ ಮಕ್ಕಳೂ ಅಮ್ಮೋನ್ಯರ ಕೊಡ ಇತರರೂ ಯೆಹೋ ಷಾಫಾಟನ ಮೇಲೆ ಯುದ್ಧಮಾಡಲು ಬಂದರು.

2 And they came and told Jehoshaphat saying, A great multitude is come against thee from beyond the sea, from Syria; and behold, they are in Hazazon-tamar, which is Engedi.ಆಗ ಕೆಲವರು ಬಂದು ಯೆಹೋಷಾಫಾಟನಿಗೆ--ಸಮು ದ್ರದ ಆಚೆಯಿಂದ ನಿನಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಅರಾಮಿನ ಬಹುಗುಂಪು ಈ ಕಡೆ ಬರುತ್ತದೆ; ಇಗೋ, ಅವರು ಏಂಗೆದಿ ಎಂಬ ಹಚೆಚೋನ್‌ ತಾಮಾರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಇದ್ದಾ ರೆಂದು ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು.

3 And Jehoshaphat feared, and set himself to seek Jehovah, and proclaimed a fast throughout Judah.ಆಗ ಯೆಹೋಷಾಫಾಟನು ಭಯಪಟ್ಟು ಕರ್ತನನ್ನು ಹುಡುಕಲು ನಿರ್ಣಯಿಸಿ ಕೊಂಡು ಸಮಸ್ತ ಯೆಹೂದದಲ್ಲಿ ಉಪವಾಸಮಾಡ ಬೇಕೆಂದು ಸಾರಿಸಿದನು.

4 And Judah gathered themselves together to ask [help] of Jehovah: even out of all the cities of Judah they came to seek Jehovah.ಆದದರಿಂದ ಯೆಹೂದ ದವರು ಕರ್ತನನ್ನು ಹುಡುಕಲು ಕೂಡಿಕೊಂಡರು. ನಿಶ್ಚಯವಾಗಿ ಸಮಸ್ತ ಯೆಹೂದದ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳಿಂದ ಕರ್ತನನ್ನು ಹುಡುಕಲು ಬಂದರು.

5 And Jehoshaphat stood in the congregation of Judah and Jerusalem, in the house of Jehovah, before the new court;ಆಗ ಯೆಹೋಷಾ ಫಾಟನು ಹೊಸ ಅಂಗಳದ ಮುಂದೆ ಕರ್ತನ ಮಂದಿರ ದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಯೆಹೂದದ ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನ ಸಭೆಯ ಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಂತು--ನಮ್ಮ ಪಿತೃಗಳ ದೇವರಾದ

6 and he said, Jehovah, God of our fathers, art not thou God in the heavens, and rulest thou not over all the kingdoms of the nations? And in thy hand there is power and might, and none can withstand thee.ಓ ಕರ್ತನೇ, ಪರಲೋಕದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ದೇವರು ನೀನಲ್ಲವೋ? ನೀನು ಜನಾಂಗಗಳ ಸಕಲ ರಾಜ್ಯಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಆಳುತ್ತೀಯಲ್ಲವೋ? ಯಾವನೂ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಎದುರಿಸಕೂಡದ ಹಾಗೆ ನಿನ್ನ ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿ ಶಕ್ತಿಯೂ ಪರಾಕ್ರಮವೂ ಇಲ್ಲವೋ?

7 Hast not thou, our God, dispossessed the inhabitants of this land before thy people Israel, and given it for ever to the seed of Abraham, thy friend?ನೀನು ನಿನ್ನ ಜನವಾದ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಎದುರಿನಿಂದ ಈ ದೇಶದ ನಿವಾಸಿಗ ಳನ್ನು ಓಡಿಸಿಬಿಟ್ಟು ಅದನ್ನು ನಿನ್ನ ಸ್ನೇಹಿತನಾದ ಅಬ್ರ ಹಾಮನ ಸಂತತಿಗೆ ಎಂದೆಂದಿಗೂ ಕೊಟ್ಟ ನೀನು ನಮ್ಮ ದೇವರಲ್ಲವೋ?

8 And they have dwelt therein, and have built thee a sanctuary therein for thy name, saying,ಅವರು ಅದರಲ್ಲಿ ನಿವಾಸ ಮಾಡಿ ನಿನ್ನ ಹೆಸರಿಗೆ ಪರಿಶುದ್ಧವಾದ ಸ್ಥಾನವನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟಿಸಿ

9 If evil come upon us, sword, judgment, or pestilence, or famine, and we stand before this house and before thee -- for thy name is in this house -- and cry unto thee in our distress, then thou wilt hear and save.ನಿನ್ನ ಹೆಸರು ಈ ಆಲಯದಲ್ಲಿರುವದರಿಂದ ಕತ್ತಿಯೂ ನ್ಯಾಯತೀರಿಸುವ ಶಿಕ್ಷೆಯೂ ಜಾಡ್ಯವೂ ಬರವೂ ಏನಾದರೂ ನಮ್ಮ ಮೇಲೆ ಬಂದರೆ ನಾವು ಈ ಆಲಯದ ಮುಂದೆಯೂ ನಿನ್ನ ಸಮ್ಮುಖದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ನಿಂತು ನಮ್ಮ ಇಕ್ಕಟ್ಟಿನಲ್ಲಿ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಕೂಗುವಾಗ ನೀನು ಕೇಳಿ ರಕ್ಷಿಸುವವನಾಗಿದ್ದೀ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.

10 And now, behold, the children of Ammon and Moab, and those of mount Seir, amongst whom thou wouldest not let Israel go when they came out of the land of Egypt, (for they turned from them, and destroyed them not,)ಈಗ ಇಗೋ, ಅಮ್ಮೋನ್‌ ಮೋವಾಬ್‌, ಸೇಯಾರ್‌ ಬೆಟ್ಟದ ಮಕ್ಕಳನ್ನು ನೋಡು; ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ಯರು ಐಗುಪ್ತದೇಶ ದೊಳಗಿಂದ ಹೊರಟು ಬರುವಾಗ ಅವರ ಕಡೆಗೆ ಹೋಗಲು ನೀನು ಇವರಿಗೆ ಅಪ್ಪಣೆಕೊಡದೆ ಇದ್ದದ ರಿಂದ ಇವರು ತೊಲಗಿ ಅವರನ್ನು ನಾಶಮಾಡದೆ ಹೋದರು.

11 behold, they reward us, in coming to cast us out of thy possession, which thou hast given us to possess.ಇಗೋ, ನಮಗೆ ನೀನು ಸ್ವಾಧೀನ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ಕೊಟ್ಟ ನಿನ್ನ ಸ್ವಾಸ್ಥ್ಯದೊಳಗಿಂದ ಅವರು ಬಂದು ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಹೊರಡಿಸಬೇಕೆಂದು ನಮಗೆ ಪ್ರತೀಕಾರ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾರೆ.

12 Our God, wilt thou not judge them? for we have no might in presence of this great company which cometh against us, neither know we what to do; but our eyes are upon thee.ಓ ನಮ್ಮ ದೇವರೇ, ನೀನು ಅವರಿಗೆ ನ್ಯಾಯತೀರಿಸುವದಿಲ್ಲವೋ? ನಮಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಬರುವ ಈ ಮಹಾಗುಂಪನ್ನು ಎದು ರಿಸಲು ನಮಗೆ ಶಕ್ತಿ ಇಲ್ಲ. ನಾವು ಏನು ಮಾಡಬೇಕೋ ತಿಳಿಯಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಆದರೆ ನಮ್ಮ ಕಣ್ಣುಗಳು ನಿನ್ನ ಮೇಲೆ ಅವೆ ಅಂದರು.

13 And all Judah stood before Jehovah, with their little ones, their wives, and their sons.ಹೀಗೆಯೇ ಯೆಹೂದದವರೆಲ್ಲರು ತಮ್ಮ ಹೆಂಡತಿಯರು, ಮಕ್ಕಳು, ಚಿಕ್ಕವರು ಸಹಿತವಾಗಿ ಕರ್ತನ ಮುಂದೆ ನಿಂತರು.

14 And upon Jahaziel the son of Zechariah, the son of Benaiah, the son of Jeiel, the son of Mattaniah, a Levite of the sons of Asaph, upon him came the Spirit of Jehovah, in the midst of the congregation;ಆಗ ಸಭೆಯ ಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಆಸಾಫನ ಮಕ್ಕಳಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬನಾದಂಥ, ಲೇವಿಯನಾದಂಥ, ಮತ್ತನ್ಯನ ಮಗ ನಾದ ಯೆಗೀಯೇಲನ ಮಗನಾದ ಬೆನಾಯನ ಮಗ ನಾದ ಜೆಕರೀಯನ ಮಗನಾದ ಯಹಜೀಯೇಲನ ಮೇಲೆ ಕರ್ತನ ಆತ್ಮನು ಬಂದನು.

15 and he said, Be attentive, all Judah, and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem, and thou king Jehoshaphat! Thus saith Jehovah unto you: Fear not, nor be dismayed by reason of this great multitude; for the battle is not yours, but God's.ಆಗ ಅವನುಯೆಹೂದದ ಸಮಸ್ತರೇ, ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನ ನಿವಾಸಿ ಗಳೇ, ಅರಸನಾದ ಯೆಹೋಷಾಫಾಟನೇ, ಕೇಳಿರಿ. ಕರ್ತನು ನಿಮಗೆ ಹೀಗೆ ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾನೆ--ಈ ಮಹಾಗುಂಪಿನ ನಿಮಿತ್ತ ನೀವು ಭಯಪಡಬೇಡಿರಿ, ಹೆದರ ಬೇಡಿರಿ. ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಯುದ್ಧವು ನಿಮ್ಮದಲ್ಲ, ದೇವ ರದೇ.

16 To-morrow go down against them: behold, they come up by the ascent of Ziz; and ye shall find them at the end of the valley, before the wilderness of Jeruel.ಮಾರನೇ ದಿವಸ ನೀವು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಎದು ರಾಗಿ ಹೋಗಿರಿ. ಇಗೋ, ಅವರು ಹಚ್ಚೀಚು ಎಂಬ ಕಣಿವೆಯಿಂದ ಬರುತ್ತಾರೆ; ಯೆರೂವೇಲಿನ ಅರಣ್ಯದ ಮುಂಭಾಗದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಹಳ್ಳದ ಅಂತ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರನ್ನು ಕಂಡುಕೊಳ್ಳುವಿರಿ.

17 Ye shall not have to fight on this occasion: set yourselves, stand and see the salvation of Jehovah [who is] with you! Judah and Jerusalem, fear not nor be dismayed; to-morrow go out against them, and Jehovah will be with you.ಇದರಲ್ಲಿ ನೀವು ಯುದ್ಧ ಮಾಡಲು ಅವಶ್ಯವಿಲ್ಲ; ನೀವು ನೆಲೆಯಾಗಿ ನಿಂತು ಕೊಂಡು ಕರ್ತನು ನಿಮಗೆ ಮಾಡುವ ರಕ್ಷಣೆಯನ್ನು ನೋಡಿರಿ; ಯೆಹೂದದವರೇ, ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನ ವರೇ, ಭಯಪಡಬೇಡಿರಿ, ಹೆದರಬೇಡಿರಿ; ಮಾರನೇ ದಿವಸ ಅವರೆದುರಿಗೆ ಹೊರಟು ಹೋಗಿರಿ; ಕರ್ತನು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಸಂಗಡ ಇದ್ದಾನೆ ಅಂದನು.

18 And Jehoshaphat bowed his head with his face to the ground; and all Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem fell down before Jehovah, worshipping Jehovah.ಆಗ ಯೆಹೋ ಷಾಫಾಟನು ತನ್ನ ಮುಖವನ್ನು ನೆಲಕ್ಕೆ ಬಾಗಿಸಿದನು; ಯೆಹೂದದವರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನ ನಿವಾಸಿಗಳೆ ಲ್ಲರೂ ಕರ್ತನ ಮುಂದೆ ಅಡ್ಡಬಿದ್ದು ಕರ್ತನನ್ನು ಆರಾ ಧಿಸಿದರು.

19 And the Levites, of the sons of the Kohathites, and of the sons of the Korahites, stood up to praise Jehovah the God of Israel with an exceeding loud voice.ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಕೆಹಾತ್ಯರ ಮಕ್ಕಳಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಕೋರಹಿಯರ ಮಕ್ಕಳಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಇರುವ ಲೇವಿಯರು ಗಟ್ಟಿಯಾಗಿ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಶಬ್ದದಿಂದ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ದೇವ ರಾದ ಕರ್ತನನ್ನು ಸ್ತುತಿಸಲು ಎದ್ದು ನಿಂತರು.

20 And they rose early in the morning, and went forth towards the wilderness of Tekoa; and as they went forth, Jehoshaphat stood and said, Hear me, Judah, and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem! Believe in Jehovah your God, and ye shall be established; believe his prophets, and ye shall prosper!ಅವರು ಉದಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಎದ್ದು ತೆಕೋವದ ಅರ ಣ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಹೊರಟರು. ಅವರು ಹೊರಟು ಹೋಗುತ್ತಿ ರುವಾಗ ಯೆಹೋಷಾಫಾಟನು ನಿಂತುಕೊಂಡು--ಓ ಯೆಹೂದದವರೇ, ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನ ನಿವಾಸಿಗಳೇ, ನನ್ನ ಮಾತನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿರಿ. ನಿಮ್ಮ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನನ್ನು ನಂಬಿಕೊಳ್ಳಿರಿ, ಸ್ಥಿರವಾಗಿರ್ರಿ; ಆತನ ಪ್ರವಾದಿಗಳನ್ನು ನಂಬಿಕೊಳ್ಳಿರಿ; ಆಗ ಜಯಹೊಂದುವಿರಿ ಅಂದನು.

21 And he consulted with the people, and appointed singers to Jehovah, and those that should praise in holy splendour, as they went forth before the armed men, and say, Give thanks to Jehovah; for his loving-kindness [endureth] for ever!ಅವನು ಜನರ ಸಂಗಡ ಆಲೋಚನೆ ಮಾಡಿದ ತರುವಾಯ ಸೈನ್ಯದ ಮುಂದೆ ಅವರು ಹೊರಡುವಾಗ ಪರಿಶುದ್ಧತ್ವದ ಪ್ರಭೆಯನ್ನು ಸ್ತುತಿಸುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಕರ್ತನನ್ನು ಕೊಂಡಾಡಿರಿ, ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಆತನ ಕೃಪೆಯು ಯುಗ ಯುಗಕ್ಕೂ ಇರುವದೆಂದು ಹೇಳುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಕರ್ತ ನಿಗೆ ಸಂಗೀತಗಾರರನ್ನು ನೇಮಿಸಿದನು.

22 And when they began the song of triumph and praise, Jehovah set liers-in-wait against the children of Ammon, Moab, and mount Seir, who had come against Judah, and they were smitten.ಅವರು ಹಾಡುವದಕ್ಕೂ ಸ್ತುತಿಸುವದಕ್ಕೂ ಆರಂಭಿಸಿದಾಗಲೇ ಕರ್ತನು ಯೆಹೂದದ ಮೇಲೆ ಬಂದ ಅಮ್ಮೋನ್‌, ಮೋವಾಬ್‌, ಸೇಯಾರ್‌ ಪರ್ವತಗಳ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಹೊಂಚಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವವರನ್ನು ಇಟ್ಟಿದ್ದ ರಿಂದ ಅವರು ಹೊಡೆಯಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಿದ್ದರು.

23 And the children of Ammon and Moab stood up against the inhabitants of mount Seir, to exterminate and destroy [them]; and when they had made an end of the inhabitants of Seir, they helped to destroy one another.ಅಮ್ಮೋನ್‌, ಮೋವಾಬ್ಯರ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಸೇಯಾರ್‌ ಪರ್ವತದ ನಿವಾಸಿ ಗಳನ್ನು ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣವಾಗಿ ನಾಶಮಾಡಲು ನಿಂತರು. ಅವರು ಸೇಯಾರಿನ ನಿವಾಸಿಗಳನ್ನು ಮುಗಿಸಿಬಿಟ್ಟ ತರುವಾಯ ತಾವೇ ಒಬ್ಬರನ್ನೊಬ್ಬರು ನಾಶಮಾಡಲು ಸಹಾಯ ಕೊಟ್ಟರು.

24 And Judah came on to the mountain-watch in the wilderness, and they looked toward the multitude; and behold, they were dead bodies fallen to the earth, and none had escaped.ಯೆಹೂದದವರು ಅರಣ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ರುವ ಬುರುಜಿನ ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದಾಗ ಅವರು ಗುಂಪನ್ನು ದೃಷ್ಟಿಸಿದರು; ಇಗೋ, ಅವರಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬನೂ ತಪ್ಪದ ಹಾಗೆ ಎಲ್ಲರೂ ನೆಲಕ್ಕೆ ಬಿದ್ದು ಹೆಣಗಳಾಗಿದ್ದರು.

25 And Jehoshaphat and his people came to plunder the spoil of them, and they found among them in abundance, both riches with the dead bodies, and precious things, and they stripped off for themselves more than they could carry away; and they were three days in plundering the spoil, it was so much.ಯೆಹೋಷಾಫಾಟನೂ ಅವನ ಜನರೂ ಅವರ ವಸ್ತುಗಳನ್ನು ಕೊಳ್ಳೆಮಾಡಲು ಬಂದಾಗ ಅವರು ಹೆಣ ಗಳ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ದ್ರವ್ಯವನ್ನೂ ಪ್ರಿಯವಾದ ಆಭರಣ ಗಳನ್ನೂ ಬಹಳವಾಗಿ ಕಂಡುಕೊಂಡು ತಾವು ಹೊರ ಲಾರದಷ್ಟು ಸುಲುಕೊಂಡರು. ಕೊಳ್ಳೆಯು ಅಷ್ಟು ಅಧಿಕವಾದದರಿಂದ ಅದನ್ನು ಮೂರು ದಿವಸಗಳ ವರೆಗೂ ಸುಲುಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾ ಇದ್ದರು.

26 And on the fourth day they assembled themselves in the valley of Berachah, for there they blessed Jehovah; therefore the name of that place was called The valley of Berachah, to this day.ನಾಲ್ಕನೇ ದಿವಸ ದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರು ಬೆರಾಕವೆಂಬ ತಗ್ಗಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಕೂಡಿಕೊಂಡು ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಕರ್ತನನ್ನು ಸ್ತುತಿಸಿದರು. ಆದಕಾರಣ ಇಂದಿನ ವರೆಗೂ ಆ ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೆ ಬೆರಾಕ ತಗ್ಗು ಎಂದು ಕರೆಯುತ್ತಾರೆ.

27 And they returned, all the men of Judah and Jerusalem, and Jehoshaphat at their head, to go again to Jerusalem with joy; for Jehovah had made them to rejoice over their enemies.ಕರ್ತನು ಅವರ ಶತ್ರುಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಅವರನ್ನು ಸಂತೋ ಷಪಡುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ಅವರು ಸಂತೋಷವಾಗಿ ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿಗೆ ತಿರಿಗಿ ಹೋಗುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಯೆಹೂದ ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನವರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಅವರ ಮುಂಭಾಗ ದಲ್ಲಿ ಯೆಹೋಷಾಫಾಟನೂ ಹೊರಟು

28 And they came to Jerusalem with lutes and harps and trumpets, to the house of Jehovah.ವೀಣೆಗ ಳಿಂದಲೂ ಕಿನ್ನರಿಗಳಿಂದಲೂ ತುತೂರಿಗಳಿಂದಲೂ ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರವೇಶಿಸಿ ಕರ್ತನ ಆಲಯಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದರು.

29 And the terror of God was on all the kingdoms of the lands, when they had heard that Jehovah fought against the enemies of Israel.ಕರ್ತನು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಶತ್ರುಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಯುದ್ಧಮಾಡಿದನೆಂದು ಅವರು ಕೇಳಿದಾಗ ದೇವರ ಭಯವು ಆ ದೇಶಗಳ ಸಕಲ ರಾಜ್ಯಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಬಿತ್ತು.

30 And the realm of Jehoshaphat was quiet; and his God gave him rest round about.ಆದದರಿಂದ ಯೆಹೋಷಾಫಾಟನ ರಾಜ್ಯವು ಶಾಂತವಾಗಿತ್ತು; ಅವನ ದೇವರು ಸುತ್ತಲೂ ಅವನಿಗೆ ವಿಶ್ರಾಂತಿ ಕೊಟ್ಟನು.

31 And Jehoshaphat reigned over Judah: he was thirty-five years old when he began to reign; and he reigned twenty-five years in Jerusalem; and his mother's name was Azubah, daughter of Shilhi.ಹೀಗೆ ಯೆಹೋಷಾಫಾಟನು ಯೆಹೂದದ ಮೇಲೆ ಆಳಿದನು. ಅವನು ಆಳಲು ಆರಂಭಿಸಿದಾಗ ಮೂವತ್ತೈದು ವರುಷದವನಾಗಿದ್ದು ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿ ನಲ್ಲಿ ಇಪ್ಪತ್ತೈದು ವರುಷ ಆಳಿದನು. ಅವನ ತಾಯಿಯ ಹೆಸರು ಅಜೂಬಳು; ಆಕೆಯು ಶಿಲ್ಹಿಯ ಮಗಳಾ ಗಿದ್ದಳು.

32 And he walked in the way of Asa his father, and turned not aside from it, doing what was right in the sight of Jehovah.ಅವನು ತನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯಾದ ಆಸನ ಮಾರ್ಗ ದಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆದು ಅದನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟುಬಿಡದೆ ಕರ್ತನ ಸಮ್ಮುಖ ದಲ್ಲಿ ಸರಿಯಾದದ್ದನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿದನು.

33 Only, the high places were not removed; and as yet the people had not directed their hearts to the God of their fathers.ಆದರೆ ಉನ್ನತ ಸ್ಥಳಗಳು ಇನ್ನೂ ತೆಗೆದುಹಾಕಲ್ಪಡಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಜನರು ತಮ್ಮ ಹೃದಯಗಳನ್ನು ತಮ್ಮ ಪಿತೃಗಳ ದೇವರ ಕಡೆಗೆ ಇನ್ನೂ ಸಿದ್ಧಮಾಡಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ;

34 And the rest of the acts of Jehoshaphat, first and last, behold, they are written in the words of Jehu the son of Hanani, which are inserted in the book of the kings of Israel.ಯೆಹೋಷಾಫಾಟನ ಇತರ ಕ್ರಿಯೆಗಳು, ಮೊದಲನೆಯವುಗಳೂ ಕಡೆಯವುಗಳೂ ಇಗೋ, ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಅರಸುಗಳ ಪುಸ್ತಕದಲ್ಲಿ ಹೇಳಲ್ಪಟ್ಟ ಹನಾನೀಯ ಮಗನಾದ ಯೇಹೂವಿನ ಪುಸ್ತಕದಲ್ಲಿ ಬರೆಯಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಿವೆ.

35 And after this Jehoshaphat king of Judah joined himself with Ahaziah king of Israel, who did very wickedly.ಇದರ ತರುವಾಯ ಯೆಹೂದದ ಅರಸನಾದ ಯೆಹೋಷಾಫಾಟನು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಅರಸನೂ ಬಹು ದುಷ್ಟನಾಗಿ ನಡೆದವನೂ ಆದ ಅಹಜ್ಯನ ಸಂಗಡ ಸಹವಾಸಮಾಡಿದನು.

36 And he joined himself with him to make ships to go to Tarshish; and they made the ships in Ezion-geber.ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ತಾರ್ಷಿ ಷಿಗೆ ಹೋಗುವ ನಿಮಿತ್ತ ಹಡಗುಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿಸಲು ಅವನ ಸಂಗಡ ಸೇರಿಕೊಂಡನು. ಅವರು ಎಚ್ಯೋನ್ಗೆಬೆ ರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಹಡಗುಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿಸಿದನು.

37 And Eliezer the son of Dodavah, of Mareshah, prophesied against Jehoshaphat, saying, Because thou hast joined thyself with Ahaziah, Jehovah has broken thy works. And the ships were broken, and could not go to Tarshish.ಆಗ ಮಾರೇ ಷಾದವನಾಗಿರುವ ದೋದಾವಾಹುವಿನ ಮಗನಾದ ಎಲೀಯೆಜರನು ಯೆಹೋಷಾಫಾಟನಿಗೆ ವಿರೋಧ ವಾಗಿ ಪ್ರವಾದಿಸಿ--ನೀನು ಅಹಜ್ಯನ ಸಂಗಡ ಸೇರಿ ಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ಕರ್ತನು ನಿನ್ನ ಕ್ರಿಯೆಗಳನ್ನು ಹಾಳು ಮಾಡಿಬಿಟ್ಟನೆಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು. ಹಡಗುಗಳು ತಾರ್ಷಿ ಷಿಗೆ ಹೋಗ ಕೂಡದ ಹಾಗೆ ಒಡೆಯಲ್ಪಟ್ಟವು.
