1 The Spirit of God came on Azariah the son of Oded:ಆಗ ದೇವರ ಆತ್ಮನು ಓದೇದನ ಮಗನಾದ ಅಜರ್ಯನ ಮೇಲೆ ಬಂದದ್ದರಿಂದ ಅವನು ಆಸನನ್ನು ಎದುರುಗೊಳ್ಳಲು ಹೊರಟುಬಂದು ಅವನಿಗೆ--

2 and he went out to meet Asa, and said to him, Hear you me, Asa, and all Judah and Benjamin: Yahweh is with you, while you are with him; and if you seek him, he will be found of you; but if you forsake him, he will forsake you.ಆಸನೇ, ಯೆಹೂದ ಬೆನ್ಯಾವಿಾನನ ಸಮಸ್ತರೇ, ನನ್ನ ಮಾತನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿರಿ. ನೀವು ಕರ್ತನ ಸಂಗಡ ಇರುವ ವರೆಗೂ ಆತನು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಸಂಗಡ ಇರುವನು; ನೀವು ಆತನನ್ನು ಹುಡುಕಿದರೆ ಆತನು ನಿಮಗೆ ಸಿಕ್ಕುವನು;

3 Now for a long season Israel was without the true God, and without a teaching priest, and without law:ಆತನನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟುಬಿಟ್ಟರೆ ಆತನು ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟುಬಿಡುವನು ಅಂದನು. ಬಹುಕಾಲ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ಯರು ನಿಜವಾದ ದೇವರಿಲ್ಲದೆ ಬೋಧಿಸುವ ಯಾಜಕನಿಲ್ಲದೆ ನ್ಯಾಯಪ್ರಮಾಣವಿಲ್ಲದೆ ಇದ್ದರು.

4 But when in their distress they turned to Yahweh, the God of Israel, and sought him, he was found of them.ಆದರೆ ಅವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಇಕ್ಕಟ್ಟಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನ ಕಡೆಗೆ ತಿರಿಗಿ ಆತನನ್ನು ಹುಡುಕಿ ದಾಗ ಆತನು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಸಿಕ್ಕಿದನು.

5 In those times there was no peace to him who went out, nor to him who came in; but great vexations were on all the inhabitants of the lands.ಆ ಕಾಲಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಹೊರಗೆ ಹೋಗುವವನಿಗೂ ಒಳಗೆ ಬರುವವನಿಗೂ ಸಮಾಧಾನವಿಲ್ಲದೆ ಇತ್ತು; ದೇಶದ ನಿವಾಸಿಗಳು ಬಹಳ ವಾಗಿ ಹೆದರಿದ್ದರು.

6 They were broken in pieces, nation against nation, and city against city; for God did vex them with all adversity.ಜನಾಂಗವು ಜನಾಂಗದಿಂದಲೂ ಪಟ್ಟಣವು ಪಟ್ಟಣದಿಂದಲೂ ನಾಶವಾಯಿತು. ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ದೇವರು ಸಕಲ ಇಕ್ಕಟ್ಟುಗಳಿಂದ ಅವ ರನ್ನು ತೊಂದರೆಪಡಿಸಿದನು.

7 But be you strong, and don't let your hands be slack; for your work shall be rewarded.ಆದದರಿಂದ ನೀವು ಬಲವಾಗಿರ್ರಿ; ನಿಮ್ಮ ಕೈಗಳು ಬಲಹೀನವಾಗದೆ ಇರಲಿ;ನಿಮ್ಮ ಕೆಲಸಕ್ಕೆ ಪ್ರತಿಫಲ ಸಿಕ್ಕುವದು ಅಂದನು.

8 When Asa heard these words, and the prophecy of Oded the prophet, he took courage, and put away the abominations out of all the land of Judah and Benjamin, and out of the cities which he had taken from the hill-country of Ephraim; and he renewed the altar of Yahweh, that was before the porch of Yahweh.ಆಸನು ಈ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನೂ ಪ್ರವಾದಿಯಾದ ಓದೇದನ ಪ್ರವಾದನೆಯನ್ನೂ ಕೇಳಿದಾಗ ಅವನು ಬಲಗೊಂಡು ಯೆಹೂದ ಬೆನ್ಯಾವಿಾನನ ಸಮಸ್ತ ದೇಶದೊಳಗಿಂದಲೂ ಎಫ್ರಾಯಾಮಿನ ಬೆಟ್ಟದಲ್ಲಿ ತಾನು ಹಿಡಿದ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳೊಳಗಿಂದಲೂ ಅಸಹ್ಯ ವಿಗ್ರಹಗಳನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಹಾಕಿ ಕರ್ತನ ದ್ವಾರಾಂಗಳದ ಮುಂದೆ ಇದ್ದ ಕರ್ತನ ಬಲಿಪೀಠವನ್ನು ನೂತನ ಪಡಿಸಿದನು.

9 He gathered all Judah and Benjamin, and those who sojourned with them out of Ephraim and Manasseh, and out of Simeon: for they fell to him out of Israel in abundance, when they saw that Yahweh his God was with him.ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಅವನು ಯೆಹೂದದ ಬೆನ್ಯಾ ವಿಾನನ ಸಮಸ್ತರನ್ನೂ ಎಫ್ರಾಯಾಮಿನಿಂದಲೂ ಮನಸ್ಸೆಯಿಂದಲೂ ಸಿಮೆಯೋನಿನಿಂದಲೂ ಅವರ ಕಡೆಗೆ ಬಂದ ಅನ್ಯರನ್ನೂ ಕೂಡಿಸಿದನು. ಅವನ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನು ಅವನ ಸಂಗಡ ಇದ್ದಾನೆಂದು ಇವರು ಕಂಡು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನೊಳಗಿಂದ ಅನೇಕರು ಅವನ ಕಡೆಗೆ ಹೋದರು.

10 So they gathered themselves together at Jerusalem in the third month, in the fifteenth year of the reign of Asa.ಹೀಗೆಯೇ ಆಸನ ಆಳಿಕೆಯ ಹದಿನೈದನೇ ವರುಷದ ಮೂರನೇ ತಿಂಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರು ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಕೂಡಿ ಕೊಂಡರು.

11 They sacrificed to Yahweh in that day, of the spoil which they had brought, seven hundred oxen and seven thousand sheep.ಅದೇ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ತಾವು ತಂದ ಕೊಳ್ಳೆಯಿಂದ ಏಳುನೂರು ಎತ್ತುಗಳನ್ನೂ ಏಳು ಸಾವಿರ ಕುರಿಗಳನ್ನೂ ಕರ್ತನಿಗೆ ಬಲಿಅರ್ಪಿಸಿದರು.

12 They entered into the covenant to seek Yahweh, the God of their fathers, with all their heart and with all their soul;ತಮ್ಮ ಪಿತೃಗಳ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನನ್ನು ತಮ್ಮ ಪೂರ್ಣಹೃದಯದಿಂದಲೂ ಪೂರ್ಣಪ್ರಾಣದಿಂದ ಲೂ ಹುಡುಕಬೇಕೆಂದೂ

13 and that whoever would not seek Yahweh, the God of Israel, should be put to death, whether small or great, whether man or woman.ಯಾವನಾದರೂ ಇಸ್ರಾ ಯೇಲಿನ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನನ್ನು ಹುಡುಕದೆ ಹೋದರೆ ಹಿರಿಯನಾದರೂ ಕಿರಿಯನಾದರೂ ಪುರುಷನಾದರೂ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯಾದರೂ ಸಾಯಬೇಕೆಂದೂ ಒಡಂಬಡಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡರು.

14 They swore to Yahweh with a loud voice, and with shouting, and with trumpets, and with cornets.ಮಹಾಶಬ್ದದಿಂದಲೂ ಆರ್ಭಟ ದಿಂದಲೂ ತುತೂರಿಗಳ ಶಬ್ದದಿಂದಲೂ ಕೊಂಬು ಗಳ ಶಬ್ದದಿಂದಲೂ ಕರ್ತನ ಮುಂದೆ ಆಣೆಯಿಟ್ಟರು.

15 All Judah rejoiced at the oath; for they had sworn with all their heart, and sought him with their whole desire; and he was found of them: and Yahweh gave them rest round about.ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಯೆಹೂದದವರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಪ್ರಮಾಣಕ್ಕೆ ಸಂತೋಷಪಟ್ಟರು. ಅವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಪೂರ್ಣಹೃದಯ ದಿಂದ ಆಣೆ ಇಟ್ಟು ತಮ್ಮ ಪೂರ್ಣ ಇಷ್ಟದಿಂದ ಆತನನ್ನು ಹುಡುಕಲು ಆತನು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಸಿಕ್ಕಿದನು. ಕರ್ತನು ಸುತ್ತಲೂ ಅವರಿಗೆ ವಿಶ್ರಾಂತಿ ಕೊಟ್ಟನು.

16 Also Maacah, the mother of Asa the king, he removed from being queen, because she had made an abominable image for an Asherah; and Asa cut down her image, and made dust of it, and burnt it at the brook Kidron.ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಅರಸನಾಗಿರುವ ಆಸನ ತಾಯಿಯಾದ ಮಾಕಳನ್ನು ಕುರಿತು ಏನಂದರೆ, ಅವಳು ಒಂದು ವಿಗ್ರಹವನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿಸಿ ತೋಪಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಇರಿಸಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ಅವಳನ್ನು ರಾಣಿಯಾಗಿರದ ಹಾಗೆ ತೆಗೆದುಹಾಕಿದನು. ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಆಸನು ಅವಳ ವಿಗ್ರಹವನ್ನು ಕಡಿದುಹಾಕಿ ಅದನ್ನು ತುಳಿದು ಕಿದ್ರೋನ್‌ ಹಳ್ಳದ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅದನ್ನು ಸುಟ್ಟುಬಿಟ್ಟನು.

17 But the high places were not taken away out of Israel: nevertheless the heart of Asa was perfect all his days.ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನೊಳಗಿಂದ ಉನ್ನತ ಸ್ಥಳಗಳು ತೆಗೆದುಹಾಕಲ್ಪಡಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಆದರೂ ಆಸನ ಹೃದಯವು ತನ್ನ ಸಮಸ್ತ ದಿವಸಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ದೋಷ ವಿಲ್ಲದ್ದಾಗಿತ್ತು.

18 He brought into the house of God the things that his father had dedicated, and that he himself had dedicated, silver, and gold, and vessels.ಅವನು ದೇವರ ಆಲಯದಲ್ಲಿ ತನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯೂ ತಾನೂ ಪರಿಶುದ್ಧ ಮಾಡಿದ ಬೆಳ್ಳಿಯನ್ನೂ ಬಂಗಾರವನ್ನೂ ಪಾತ್ರೆಗಳನ್ನೂ ಸೇರಿಸಿದನು.

19 There was no more war to the five and thirtieth year of the reign of Asa.ಆಸನ ಆಳ್ವಿಕೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮೂವತ್ತೈದನೇ ವರುಷದ ಪರಿಯಂತರ ಯುದ್ಧವಿಲ್ಲದೆ ಇತ್ತು.
