1 Samuel 10:8
ಆದರೆ ನೀನು ನನಗೆ ಮುಂದಾಗಿ ಗಿಲ್ಗಾಲಿಗೆ ಇಳಿದುಹೋಗಬೇಕು; ಇಗೋ, ನಾನು ದಹನಬಲಿಗಳನ್ನೂ ಸಮಾಧಾನದ ಬಲಿ ಗಳನ್ನೂ ಅರ್ಪಿಸುವದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ನಿನ್ನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬರುವೆನು. ನೀನು ಮಾಡಬೇಕಾದದ್ದನ್ನು ನಾನು ನಿನಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸುವ ವರೆಗೂ ನೀನು ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಏಳು ದಿವಸ ಕಾದುಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು ಅಂದನು.

ಸೌಲನು ತನಗೆ ಸಮುವೇಲನು ನೇಮಿಸಿದ ಕಾಲದ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಏಳು ದಿವಸ ಕಾದಿದ್ದನು. ಸಮುವೇಲನು ಗಿಲ್ಗಾಲಿಗೆ ಬಾರದೆ ಇದ್ದದರಿಂದ ಜನರು ಅವನನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಚದರಿಹೋದರು.
