யோபு 2:10
அதற்கு அவன்: நீ பயித்தியக்காரி பேசுகிறதுபோலப் பேசுகிறாய், தேவன் கையிலே நன்மையைப் பெற்ற நாம் தீமையையும் பெறவேண்டாமோ என்றான்; இவைகள் எல்லாவற்றிலும் யோபு தன் உதடுகளினால் பாவஞ்செய்யவில்லை.

பிறகு யோபு தனது மனைவியிடம், “நீ மூடத்தனமானவளைப் போலப் பேசுகிறாய்! தேவன் நல்லவற்றைக் கொடுக்கும்போது, நாம் அவற்றை ஏற்கிறோம். எனவே நாம் தொல்லைகளையும் ஏற்கவேண்டும், முறையிடக்கூடாது” என்று பதில் தந்தான். எல்லாத் தொல்லைகளின்போதும் யோபு பாவம் செய்யவில்லை. அவன் தேவனுக்கு எதிராக எதுவும் பேசவில்லை.
