கர்த்தாவே, இந்த ஸ்தலத்திலே மனுஷனும் மிருகமுமுதலாய்த் தங்கித்தரிக்காதபடிக்கும், அது என்றென்றைக்கும் பாழாய்க் கிடக்கும்படிக்கும், அதை அழித்துப்போடுவேன் என்று தேவரீர் அதைக்குறித்து உரைத்தீர் என்பதை நீ சொல்லி

பிறகு சொல், ‘கர்த்தாவே, இந்த இடத்தை அழிக்கப்போவதாகச் சொன்னீர். நீர் அழிப்பீர். எனவே மனிதர்களோ மிருகங்களோ இதில் வாழாது. இந்த இடம் என்றென்றும் காலியான அழிவிடமாக இருக்கும்.’

Then shalt thou say, וְאָמַרְתָּ֗ ʾāmar ah-MAHR
O Lord, יְהוָה֙ yĕhōwâ yeh-hoh-VA
thou אַתָּ֨ה ʾattâ ah-TA
hast spoken דִבַּ֜רְתָּ dābar da-VAHR
against אֶל ʾēl ale
place, הַמָּק֤וֹם māqôm ma-KOME
this הַזֶּה֙ ze zeh
to cut it off, לְהַכְרִית֔וֹ kārat ka-RAHT
that none לְבִלְתִּ֤י biltî beel-TEE
shall הֱיֽוֹת hāyâ ha-YA
בּוֹ֙
remain יוֹשֵׁ֔ב yāšab ya-SHAHV
in it, neither man לְמֵאָדָ֖ם ʾādām ah-DAHM
nor וְעַד ʿad ad
beast, בְּהֵמָ֑ה bĕhēmâ beh-hay-MA

desolate שִׁמְמ֥וֹת šĕmāmâ sheh-ma-MA
