ஆதலால் சேனைகளின் கர்த்தர் தீர்க்கதரிசிகளைக் குறித்து: இதோ, நான் அவர்களுக்குப் புசிக்க எட்டியையும், குடிக்கப் பிச்சுக்கலந்த தண்ணீரையும் கொடுப்பேன்; எருசலேமின் தீர்க்கதரிசிகளிலிருந்து மாயமானது தேசமெங்கும் பரம்பிற்றே என்று சொல்லுகிறார்.

ஆதலால் சேனைகளின் கர்த்தர் தீர்க்கதரிசிகளைக்குறித்து: இதோ, நான் அவர்களுக்குச் சாப்பிட எட்டியையும், குடிக்க விஷம் கலந்த தண்ணீரையும் கொடுப்பேன்; எருசலேமின் தீர்க்கதரிசிகளிலிருந்து மாயமானது தேசமெங்கும் பரவிற்றோ என்று சொல்லுகிறார்.

எனவே, தீர்க்கதரிசிகளைப்பற்றி சர்வ வல்லமையுள்ள கர்த்தர் கூறுகிறது இதுதான்: “நான் அத்தீர்க்கதரிசிகளை தண்டிப்பேன். தண்டனையானது விஷமுள்ள உணவை உண்பது போலவும், விஷத்தண்ணீரை குடிப்பதுபோன்றும் இருக்கும். தீர்க்கதரிசிகளுக்கு ஆன்மீக நோய் ஏற்பட்டது. அந்நோய் நாடு முழுவதும் பரவியது. எனவே, அத்தீர்க்கதரிசிகளை நான் தண்டிப்பேன். அந்நோய் எருசலேமிலிருக்கும் தீர்க்கதரிசிகளிடமிருந்து வந்தது.”
