இஸ்ரவேல் கர்த்தருக்கு பரிசுத்தமும், அவருடைய விளைவின் முதற்பலனுமாயிருந்தது; அதைப் பட்சித்த யாவரும் குற்றவாளிகளானார்கள்; பொல்லாப்பு அவர்கள்மேல் வந்ததென்று கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார்.

இஸ்ரவேல் ஜனங்கள் கர்த்தருக்கான பரிசுத்த அன்பளிப்பாக இருந்தனர். அவர்கள் கர்த்தரால் சேகரிக்கப்பட்ட முதல்கனியாக இருந்தனர். அவர்கள் காயப்படுத்த முயலும் எவரும் குற்றவாளியாகத் தீர்க்கப்படுவார்கள். அத்தீயவர்களுக்குக் கெட்டவை ஏற்படும் என்று சொல்” என்றார். இந்த வார்த்தை கர்த்தரிடமிருந்து வந்தது.
