Proverbs 21 - YLT (Hindi)

1 Rivulets of waters `is' the heart of a king in the hand of Jehovah, Wherever He pleaseth He inclineth it.राजा का मन नालियों के जल की नाईं यहोवा के हाथ में रहता है, जिधर वह चाहता उधर उस को फेर देता है।

2 Every way of a man `is' right in his own eyes, And Jehovah is pondering hearts.मनुष्य का सारा चाल चलन अपनी दृष्टि में तो ठीक होता है, परन्तु यहोवा मन को जांचता है,

3 To do righteousness and judgment, Is chosen of Jehovah rather than sacrifice.धर्म और न्याय करना, यहोवा को बलिदान से अधिक अच्छा लगता है।

4 Loftiness of eyes, and breadth of heart, Tillage of the wicked `is' sin.चढ़ी आंखें, घमण्डी मन, और दुष्टों की खेती, तीनों पापमय हैं।

5 The purposes of the diligent `are' only to advantage, And of every hasty one, only to want.कामकाजी की कल्पनाओं से केवल लाभ होता है, परन्तु उतावली करने वाले को केवल घटती होती है।

6 The making of treasures by a lying tongue, `Is' a vanity driven away of those seeking death.जो धन झूठ के द्वारा प्राप्त हो, वह वायु से उड़ जाने वाला कोहरा है, उसके ढूंढ़ने वाले मृत्यु ही को ढूंढ़ते हैं।

7 The spoil of the wicked catcheth them, Because they have refused to do judgment.जो उपद्रव दुष्ट लोग करते हैं, उस से उन्हीं का नाश होता है, क्योंकि वे न्याय का काम करने से इनकार करते हैं।

8 Froward `is' the way of a man who is vile, And the pure -- upright `is' his work.पाप से लदे हुए मनुष्य का मार्ग बहुत ही टेढ़ा होता है, परन्तु जो पवित्र है, उसका कर्म सीधा होता है।

9 Better to sit on a corner of the roof, Than `with' a woman of contentions and a house of company.लम्बे-चौड़े घर में झगड़ालू पत्नी के संग रहने से छत के कोने पर रहना उत्तम है।

10 The soul of the wicked hath desired evil, Not gracious in his eyes is his neighbour.दुष्ट जन बुराई की लालसा जी से करता है, वह अपने पड़ोसी पर अनुग्रह की दृष्टि नही करता।

11 When the scorner is punished, the simple becometh wise, And in giving understanding to the wise He receiveth knowledge.जब ठट्ठा करने वाले को दण्ड दिया जाता है, तब भोला बुद्धिमान हो जाता है; और जब बुद्धिमान को उपदेश दिया जाता है, तब वह ज्ञान प्राप्त करता है।

12 The Righteous One is acting wisely Towards the house of the wicked, He is overthrowing the wicked for wickedness.धर्मी जन दुष्टों के घराने पर बुद्धिमानी से विचार करता है; ईश्वर दुष्टों को बुराइयों में उलट देता है।

13 Whoso is shutting his ear from the cry of the poor, He also doth cry, and is not answered.जो कंगाल की दोहाई पर कान न दे, वह आप पुकारेगा और उसकी सुनी न जाएगी।

14 A gift in secret pacifieth anger, And a bribe in the bosom strong fury.गुप्त में दी हुई भेंट से क्रोध ठण्डा होता है, और चुपके से दी हुई घूस से बड़ी जलजलाहट भी थमती है।

15 To do justice `is' joy to the righteous, But ruin to workers of iniquity.न्याय का काम, करना धर्मी को तो आनन्द, परन्तु अनर्थकारियों को विनाश ही का कारण जान पड़ता है।

16 A man who is wandering from the way of understanding, In an assembly of Rephaim resteth.जो मनुष्य बुद्धि के मार्ग से भटक जाए, उसका ठिकाना मरे हुओं के बीच में होगा।

17 Whoso `is' loving mirth `is' a poor man, Whoso is loving wine and oil maketh no wealth.जो रागरंग से प्रीति रखता है, वह कंगाल होता है; और जो दाखमधु पीने और तेल लगाने से प्रीति रखता है, वह धनी नहीं होता।

18 The wicked `is' an atonement for the righteous, And for the upright the treacherous dealer.दुष्ट जन धर्मी की छुडौती ठहरता है, और विश्वासघाती सीधे लोगों की सन्ती दण्ड भोगते हैं।

19 Better to dwell in a wilderness land, Than `with' a woman of contentions and anger.झगड़ालू और चिढ़ने वाली पत्नी के संग रहने से जंगल में रहना उत्तम है।

20 A treasure to be desired, and oil, `Is' in the habitation of the wise, And a foolish man swalloweth it up.बुद्धिमान के घर में उत्तम धन और तेल पाए जाते हैं, परन्तु मूर्ख उन को उड़ा डालता है।

21 Whoso is pursuing righteousness and kindness, Findeth life, righteousness, and honour.जो धर्म और कृपा का पीछा पकड़ता है, वह जीवन, धर्म और महिमा भी पाता है।

22 A city of the mighty hath the wise gone up, And bringeth down the strength of its confidence.बुद्धिमान शूरवीरों के नगर पर चढ़ कर, उनके बल को जिस पर वे भरोसा करते हैं, नाश करता है।

23 Whoso is keeping his mouth and his tongue, Is keeping from adversities his soul.जो अपने मुंह को वश में रखता है वह अपने प्राण को विपत्तियों से बचाता है।

24 Proud, haughty, scorner `is' his name, Who is working in the wrath of pride.जो अभिमन से रोष में आकर काम करता है, उसका नाम अभिमानी, और अंहकारी ठट्ठा करने वाला पड़ता है।

25 The desire of the slothful slayeth him, For his hands have refused to work.आलसी अपनी लालसा ही में मर जाता है, क्योंकि उसके हाथ काम करने से इन्कार करते हैं।

26 All the day desiring he hath desired, And the righteous giveth and withholdeth not.कोई ऐसा है, जो दिन भर लालसा ही किया करता है, परन्तु धर्मी लगातार दान करता रहता है।

27 The sacrifice of the wicked `is' abomination, Much more when in wickedness he bringeth it.दुष्टों का बलिदान घृणित लगता है; विशेष कर के जब वह महापाप के निमित्त चढ़ाता है।

28 A false witness doth perish, And an attentive man for ever speaketh.झूठा साक्षी नाश होता है, जिस ने जो सुना है, वही कहता हुआ स्थिर रहेगा।

29 A wicked man hath hardened by his face, And the upright -- he prepareth his way.दुष्ट मनुष्य कठोर मुख का होता है, और जो सीधा है, वह अपनी चाल सीधी करता है।

30 There is no wisdom, nor understanding, Nor counsel, over-against Jehovah.यहोवा के विरूद्ध न तो कुछ बुद्धि, और न कुछ समझ, न कोई युक्ति चलती है।

31 A horse is prepared for a day of battle, And the deliverance `is' of Jehovah!युद्ध के दिन के लिये घोड़ा तैयार तो होता है, परन्तु जय यहोवा ही से मिलती है॥
