Proverbs 11 - ASV (Hindi)

1 A false balance is an abomination to Jehovah; But a just weight is his delight.छल के तराजू से यहोवा को घृणा आती है, परन्तु वह पूरे बटखरे से प्रसन्न होता है।

2 When pride cometh, then cometh shame; But with the lowly is wisdom.जब अभिमान होता, तब अपमान भी होता है, परन्तु नम्र लोगों में बुद्धि होती है।

3 The integrity of the upright shall guide them; But the perverseness of the treacherous shall destroy them.सीधे लोग अपनी खराई से अगुवाई पाते हैं, परन्तु विश्वासघाती अपने कपट से विनाश होते हैं।

4 Riches profit not in the day of wrath; But righteousness delivereth from death.कोप के दिन धन से तो कुछ लाभ नहीं होता, परन्तु धर्म मृत्यु से भी बचाता है।

5 The righteousness of the perfect shall direct his way; But the wicked shall fall by his own wickedness.खरे मनुष्य का मार्ग धर्म के कारण सीधा होता है, परन्तु दुष्ट अपनी दुष्टता के कारण गिर जाता है।

6 The righteousness of the upright shall deliver them; But the treacherous shall be taken in their own iniquity.सीधे लोगों को बचाव उनके धर्म के कारण होता है, परन्तु विश्वासघाती लोग अपनी ही दुष्टता में फंसते हैं।

7 When a wicked man dieth, `his' expectation shall perish; And the hope of iniquity perisheth.जब दुष्ट मरता, तब उसकी आशा टूट जाती है, और अधर्मी की आशा व्यर्थ होती है।

8 The righteous is delivered out of trouble, And the wicked cometh in his stead.धर्मी विपत्ति से छूट जाता है, परन्तु दुष्ट उसी विपत्ति में पड़ जाता है।

9 With his mouth the godless man destroyeth his neighbor; But through knowledge shall the righteous be delivered.भक्तिहीन जन अपने पड़ोसी को अपने मुंह की बात से बिगाड़ता है, परन्तु धर्मी लोग ज्ञान के द्वारा बचते हैं।

10 When it goeth well with the righteous, the city rejoiceth; And when the wicked perish, there is shouting.जब धर्मियों का कल्याण होता है, तब नगर के लोग प्रसन्न होते हैं, परन्तु जब दुष्ट नाश होते, तब जय-जयकार होता है।

11 By the blessing of the upright the city is exalted; But it is overthrown by the mouth of the wicked.सीधे लोगों के आशीर्वाद से नगर की बढ़ती होती है, परन्तु दुष्टों के मुंह की बात से वह ढाया जाता है।

12 He that despiseth his neighbor is void of wisdom; But a man of understanding holdeth his peace.जो अपने पड़ोसी को तुच्छ जानता है, वह निर्बुद्धि है, परन्तु समझदार पुरूष चुपचाप रहता है।

13 He that goeth about as a tale-bearer revealeth secrets; But he that is of a faithful spirit concealeth a matter.जो लुतराई करता फिरता वह भेद प्रगट करता है, परन्तु विश्वासयोग्य मनुष्य बात को छिपा रखता है।

14 Where no wise guidance is, the people falleth; But in the multitude of counsellors there is safety.जहां बुद्धि की युक्ति नहीं, वहां प्रजा विपत्ति में पड़ती है; परन्तु सम्मति देने वालों की बहुतायत के कारण बचाव होता है।

15 He that is surety for a stranger shall smart for it; But he that hateth suretyship is secure.जो परदेशी का उत्तरदायी होता है, वह बड़ा दु:ख उठाता है, परन्तु जो उत्तरदायित्व से घृणा करता, वह निडर रहता है।

16 A gracious woman obtaineth honor; And violent men obtain riches.अनुग्रह करने वाली स्त्री प्रतिष्ठा नहीं खोती है, और बलात्कारी लोग धन को नहीं खोते।

17 The merciful man doeth good to his own soul; But he that is cruel troubleth his own flesh.कृपालु मनुष्य अपना ही भला करता है, परन्तु जो क्रूर है, वह अपनी ही देह को दु:ख देता है।

18 The wicked earneth deceitful wages; But he that soweth righteousness `hath' a sure reward.दुष्ट मिथ्या कमाई कमाता है, परन्तु जो धर्म का बीज बोता, उस को निश्चय फल मिलता है।

19 He that is stedfast in righteousness `shall attain' unto life; And he that pursueth evil `doeth it' to his own death.जो धर्म में दृढ़ रहता, वह जीवन पाता है, परन्तु जो बुराई का पीछा करता, वह मृत्यु का कौर हो जाता है।

20 They that are perverse in heart are an abomination to Jehovah; But such as are perfect in `their' way are his delight.जो मन के टेढ़े है, उन से यहोवा को घृणा आती है, परन्तु वह खरी चाल वालों से प्रसन्न रहता है।

21 `Though' hand `join' in hand, the evil man shall not be unpunished; But the seed of the righteous shall be delivered.मैं दृढ़ता के साथ कहता हूं, बुरा मनुष्य निर्दोष न ठहरेगा, परन्तु धर्मी का वंश बचाया जाएगा।

22 `As' a ring of gold in a swine's snout, `So is' a fair woman that is without discretion.जो सुन्दर स्त्री विवेक नहीं रखती, वह थूथन में सोने की नथ पहिने हुए सूअर के समान है।

23 The desire of the righteous is only good; `But' the expectation of the wicked is wrath.धर्मियों की लालसा तो केवल भलाई की होती है; परन्तु दुष्टों की आशा का फल क्रोध ही होता है।

24 There is that scattereth, and increaseth yet more; And there is that withholdeth more than is meet, but `it tendeth' only to want.ऐसे हैं, जो छितरा देते हैं, तौभी उनकी बढ़ती ही होती है; और ऐसे भी हैं जो यथार्थ से कम देते हैं, और इस से उनकी घटती ही होती है।

25 The liberal soul shall be made fat; And he that watereth shall be watered also himself.उदार प्राणी हृष्ट पुष्ट हो जाता है, और जो औरों की खेती सींचता है, उसकी भी सींची जाएगी।

26 He that withholdeth grain, the people shall curse him; But blessing shall be upon the head of him that selleth it.जो अपना अनाज रख छोड़ता है, उस को लोग शाप देते हैं, परन्तु जो उसे बेच देता है, उस को आशीर्वाद दिया जाता है।

27 He that diligently seeketh good seeketh favor; But he that searcheth after evil, it shall come unto him.जो यत्न से भलाई करता है वह औरों की प्रसन्नता खोजता है, परन्तु जो दूसरे की बुराई का खोजी होता है, उसी पर बुराई आ पड़ती है।

28 He that trusteth in his riches shall fall; But the righteous shall flourish as the green leaf.जो अपने धन पर भरोसा रखता है वह गिर जाता है, परन्तु धर्मी लोग नये पत्ते की नाईं लहलहाते हैं।

29 He that troubleth his own house shall inherit the wind; And the foolish shall be servant to the wise of heart.जो अपने घराने को दु:ख देता, उसका भाग वायु ही होगा, और मूढ़ बुद्धिमान का दास हो जाता है।

30 The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; And he that is wise winneth souls.धर्मी का प्रतिफल जीवन का वृक्ष होता है, और बुद्धिमान मनुष्य लोगों के मन को मोह लेता है।

31 Behold, the righteous shall be recompensed in the earth: How much more the wicked and the sinner!देख, धर्मी को पृथ्वी पर फल मिलेगा, तो निश्चय है कि दुष्ट और पापी को भी मिलेगा॥
