Hosea 12
1 एप्रैम पानी पीटता और पुरवाई का पीछा करता रहता है; वह लगातार झूठ और उत्पात को बढ़ाता रहता है; वे अश्शूर के साथ वाचा बान्धते और मिस्र में तेल भेजते हैं।
2 यहूदा के साथ भी यहोवा का मुकद्दमा है, और वह याकूब को उसके चालचलन के अनुसार दण्ड देगा; उसके कामों के अनुसार वह उसको बदला देगा।
3 अपनी माता की कोख ही में उसने अपने भाई को अड़ंगा मारा, और बड़ा हो कर वह परमेश्वर के साथ लड़ा।
4 वह दूत से लड़ा, और जीत भी गया, वह रोया और उसने गिड़गिड़ाकर बिनती की। बेतेल में वह उसको मिला, और वहीं उसने हम से बातें की।
5 यहोवा, सेनाओं का परमेश्वर, जिसका स्मरण यहोवा नाम से होता है।
6 इसलिये तू अपने परमेश्वर की ओर फिर; कृपा और न्याय के काम करता रह, और अपने परमेश्वर की बाट निरन्तर जोहता रह॥
7 वह व्योपारी है, और उसके हाथ में छल का तराजू है; अन्धेर करना ही उसको भाता है।
8 एप्रैम कहता है, मैं धनी हो गया, मैं ने सम्पत्ति प्राप्त की है; मेरे किसी काम में ऐसा अधर्म नहीं पाया गया जिस से पाप लगे।
9 मैं यहोवा, मिस्र देश ही से तेरा परमेश्वर हूं; मैं फिर तुझे तम्बुओं में ऐसा बसाऊंगा जैसा नियत पर्व के दिनों में हुआ करता है॥
10 मैं ने भविष्यद्वक्ताओं के द्वारा बातें कीं, और बार बार दर्शन देता रहा; और भविष्यद्वक्ताओं के द्वारा दृष्टान्त कहता आया हूं।
11 क्या गिलाद कुकर्मी नहीं? वे पूरे छली हो गए हैं। गिल्गाल में बैल बलि किए जाते हैं, वरन उनकी वेदियां उन ढेरों के समान हैं जो खेत की रेघारियों के पास हों।
12 याकूब अराम के मैदान में भाग गया था; वहां इस्राएल ने एक पत्नी के लिये सेवा की, और पत्नी के लिये वह चरवाही करता था।
13 एक भविष्यद्वक्ता के द्वारा यहोवा इस्राएल को मिस्र से निकाल ले आया, और भविष्यद्वक्ता ही के द्वारा उसकी रक्षा हुई।
1 Ephraim feedeth on wind, and followeth after the east wind: he daily increaseth lies and desolation; and they do make a covenant with the Assyrians, and oil is carried into Egypt.
2 The Lord hath also a controversy with Judah, and will punish Jacob according to his ways; according to his doings will he recompense him.
3 He took his brother by the heel in the womb, and by his strength he had power with God:
4 Yea, he had power over the angel, and prevailed: he wept, and made supplication unto him: he found him in Beth-el, and there he spake with us;
5 Even the Lord God of hosts; the Lord is his memorial.
6 Therefore turn thou to thy God: keep mercy and judgment, and wait on thy God continually.
7 He is a merchant, the balances of deceit are in his hand: he loveth to oppress.
8 And Ephraim said, Yet I am become rich, I have found me out substance: in all my labours they shall find none iniquity in me that were sin.
9 And I that am the Lord thy God from the land of Egypt will yet make thee to dwell in tabernacles, as in the days of the solemn feast.
10 I have also spoken by the prophets, and I have multiplied visions, and used similitudes, by the ministry of the prophets.
11 Is there iniquity in Gilead? surely they are vanity: they sacrifice bullocks in Gilgal; yea, their altars are as heaps in the furrows of the fields.
12 And Jacob fled into the country of Syria, and Israel served for a wife, and for a wife he kept sheep.
13 And by a prophet the Lord brought Israel out of Egypt, and by a prophet was he preserved.

Even the Lord God of hosts; the Lord is his memorial.
6 इसलिये तू अपने परमेश्वर की ओर फिर; कृपा और न्याय के काम करता रह, और अपने परमेश्वर की बाट निरन्तर जोहता रह॥
Therefore turn thou to thy God: keep mercy and judgment, and wait on thy God continually.
7 वह व्योपारी है, और उसके हाथ में छल का तराजू है; अन्धेर करना ही उसको भाता है।
He is a merchant, the balances of deceit are in his hand: he loveth to oppress.
