Genesis 18 - ASV (Hindi)

1 And Jehovah appeared unto him by the oaks of Mamre, as he sat in the tent door in the heat of the day;इब्राहीम माम्रे के बांजो के बीच कड़ी धूप के समय तम्बू के द्वार पर बैठा हुआ था, तब यहोवा ने उसे दर्शन दिया:

2 and he lifted up his eyes and looked, and, lo, three men stood over against him: and when he saw them, he ran to meet them from the tent door, and bowed himself to the earth,और उसने आंख उठा कर दृष्टि की तो क्या देखा, कि तीन पुरूष उसके साम्हने खड़े हैं: जब उसने उन्हे देखा तब वह उन से भेंट करने के लिये तम्बू के द्वार से दौड़ा, और भूमि पर गिरकर दण्डवत की और कहने लगा,

3 and said, My lord, if now I have found favor in thy sight, pass not away, I pray thee, from thy servant:हे प्रभु, यदि मुझ पर तेरी अनुग्रह की दृष्टि है तो मैं बिनती करता हूं, कि अपने दास के पास से चले न जाना।

4 let now a little water be fetched, and wash your feet, and rest yourselves under the tree:मैं थोड़ा सा जल लाता हूं और आप अपने पांव धोकर इस वृक्ष के तले विश्राम करें।

5 and I will fetch a morsel of bread, and strengthen ye your heart; after that ye shall pass on: forasmuch as ye are come to your servant. And they said, So do, as thou hast said.फिर मैं एक टुकड़ा रोटी ले आऊं और उससे आप अपने जीव को तृप्त करें; तब उसके पश्चात आगे बढें: क्योंकि आप अपने दास के पास इसी लिये पधारे हैं। उन्होंने कहा, जैसा तू कहता है वैसा ही कर।

6 And Abraham hastened into the tent unto Sarah, and said, Make ready quickly three measures of fine meal, knead it, and make cakes.सो इब्राहीम ने तम्बू में सारा के पास फुर्ती से जा कर कहा, तीन सआ मैदा फुर्ती से गून्ध, और फुलके बना।

7 And Abraham ran unto the herd, and fetched a calf tender and good, and gave it unto the servant; and he hasted to dress it.फिर इब्राहीम गाय बैल के झुण्ड में दौड़ा, और एक कोमल और अच्छा बछड़ा ले कर अपने सेवक को दिया, और उसने फुर्ती से उसको पकाया।

8 And he took butter, and milk, and the calf which he had dressed, and set it before them; and he stood by them under the tree, and they did eat.तब उसने मक्खन, और दूध, और वह बछड़ा, जो उसने पकवाया था, ले कर उनके आगे परोस दिया; और आप वृक्ष के तले उनके पास खड़ा रहा, और वे खाने लगे।

9 And they said unto him, Where is Sarah thy wife? And he said, Behold, in the tent.उन्होंने उससे पूछा, तेरी पत्नी सारा कहां है? उसने कहा, वह तो तम्बू में है।

10 And he said, I will certainly return unto thee when the season cometh round; and, lo, Sarah thy wife shall have a son. And Sarah heard in the tent door, which was behind him.उसने कहा मैं वसन्त ऋतु में निश्चय तेरे पास फिर आऊंगा; और तब तेरी पत्नी सारा के एक पुत्र उत्पन्न होगा। और सारा तम्बू के द्वार पर जो इब्राहीम के पीछे था सुन रही थी।

11 Now Abraham and Sarah were old, `and' well stricken in age; it had ceased to be with Sarah after the manner of women.इब्राहीम और सारा दोनो बहुत बूढ़े थे; और सारा का स्त्रीधर्म बन्द हो गया था

12 And Sarah laughed within herself, saying, After I am waxed old shall I have pleasure, my lord being old also?सो सारा मन में हंस कर कहने लगी, मैं तो बूढ़ी हूं, और मेरा पति भी बूढ़ा है, तो क्या मुझे यह सुख होगा?

13 And Jehovah said unto Abraham, Wherefore did Sarah laugh, saying, Shall I of a surety bear a child, who am old?तब यहोवा ने इब्राहीम से कहा, सारा यह कहकर क्योंहंसी, कि क्या मेरे, जो ऐसी बुढिय़ा हो गई हूं, सचमुच एक पुत्र उत्पन्न होगा?

14 Is anything too hard for Jehovah? At the set time I will return unto thee, when the season cometh round, and Sarah shall have a son.क्या यहोवा के लिये कोई काम कठिन है? नियत समय में, अर्थात वसन्त ऋतु में, मैं तेरे पास फिर आऊंगा, और सारा के पुत्र उत्पन्न होगा।

15 Then Sarah denied, saying, I laughed not; for she was afraid. And he said, Nay; but thou didst laugh.तब सारा डर के मारे यह कह कर मुकर गई, कि मैं नहीं हंसी। उसने कहा, नहीं; तू हंसी तो थी॥

16 And the men rose up from thence, and looked toward Sodom: and Abraham went with them to bring them on the way.फिर वे पुरूष वहां से चल कर, सदोम की ओर ताकने लगे: और इब्राहीम उन्हें विदा करने के लिये उनके संग संग चला।

17 And Jehovah said, Shall I hide from Abraham that which I do;तब यहोवा ने कहा, यह जो मैं करता हूं सो क्या इब्राहीम से छिपा रखूं?

18 seeing that Abraham had surely become a great and mighty nation, and all the nations of the earth shall be blessed in him?इब्राहीम से तो निश्चय एक बड़ी और सामर्थी जाति उपजेगी, और पृथ्वी की सारी जातियां उसके द्वारा आशीष पाएंगी।

19 For I have known him, to the end that he may command his children and his household after him, that they may keep the way of Jehovah, to do righteousness and justice; to the end that Jehovah may bring upon Abraham that which he hath spoken of him.क्योंकि मैं जानता हूं, कि वह अपने पुत्रों और परिवार को जो उसके पीछे रह जाएंगे आज्ञा देगा कि वे यहोवा के मार्ग में अटल बने रहें, और धर्म और न्याय करते रहें, इसलिये कि जो कुछ यहोवा ने इब्राहीम के विषय में कहा है उसे पूरा करें।

20 And Jehovah said, Because the cry of Sodom and Gomorrah is great, and because their sin is very grievous;फिर यहोवा ने कहा सदोम और अमोरा की चिल्लाहट बढ़ गई है, और उनका पाप बहुत भारी हो गया है;

21 I will go down now, and see whether they have done altogether according to the cry of it, which is come unto me; and if not, I will know.इसलिये मैं उतरकर देखूंगा, कि उसकी जैसी चिल्लाहट मेरे कान तक पहुंची है, उन्होंने ठीक वैसा ही काम किया है कि नहीं: और न किया हो तो मैं उसे जान लूंगा।

22 And the men turned from thence, and went toward Sodom: but Abraham stood yet before Jehovah.सो वे पुरूष वहां से मुड़ के सदोम की ओर जाने लगे: पर इब्राहीम यहोवा के आगे खड़ा रह गया।

23 And Abraham drew near, and said, Wilt thou consume the righteous with the wicked?तब इब्राहीम उसके समीप जा कर कहने लगा, क्या सचमुच दुष्ट के संग धर्मी को भी नाश करेगा?

24 Peradventure there are fifty righteous within the city: wilt thou consume and not spare the place for the fifty righteous that are therein?कदाचित उस नगर में पचास धर्मी हों: तो क्या तू सचमुच उस स्थान को नाश करेगा और उन पचास धर्मियों के कारण जो उस में हो न छोड़ेगा?

25 That be far from thee to do after this manner, to slay the righteous with the wicked, that so the righteous should be as the wicked; that be far from thee: shall not the Judge of all the earth do right?इस प्रकार का काम करना तुझ से दूर रहे कि दुष्ट के संग धर्मी को भी मार डाले और धर्मी और दुष्ट दोनों की एक ही दशा हो। यह तुझ से दूर रहे: क्या सारी पृथ्वी का न्यायी न्याय न करे?

26 And Jehovah said, If I find in Sodom fifty righteous within the city, then I will spare all the place for their sake.यहोवा ने कहा यदि मुझे सदोम में पचास धर्मी मिलें, तो उनके कारण उस सारे स्थान को छोडूंगा।

27 And Abraham answered and said, Behold now, I have taken upon me to speak unto the Lord, who am but dust and ashes:फिर इब्राहीम ने कहा, हे प्रभु, सुन मैं तो मिट्टी और राख हूं; तौभी मैं ने इतनी ढिठाई की कि तुझ से बातें करूं।

28 peradventure there shall lack five of the fifty righteous: wilt thou destroy all the city for lack of five? And he said, I will not destroy it, if I find there forty and five.कदाचित उन पचास धर्मियों में पांच घट जाए: तो क्या तू पांच ही के घटने के कारण उस सारे नगर का नाश करेगा? उसने कहा, यदि मुझे उस में पैंतालीस भी मिलें, तौभी उसका नाश न करूंगा।

29 And he spake unto him yet again, and said, Peradventure there shall be forty found there. And he said, I will not do it for the forty's sake.फिर उसने उससे यह भी कहा, कदाचित वहां चालीस मिलें। उसने कहा, तो मैं चालीस के कारण भी ऐसा ने करूंगा।

30 And he said, Oh let not the Lord be angry, and I will speak: peradventure there shall thirty be found there. And he said, I will not do it, if I find thirty there.फिर उसने कहा, हे प्रभु, क्रोध न कर, तो मैं कुछ और कहूं: कदाचित वहां तीस मिलें। उसने कहा यदि मुझे वहां तीस भी मिलें, तौभी ऐसा न करूंगा।

31 And he said, Behold now, I have taken upon me to speak unto the Lord: peradventure there shall be twenty found there. And he said, I will not destroy it for the twenty's sake.फिर उसने कहा, हे प्रभु, सुन, मैं ने इतनी ढिठाई तो की है कि तुझ से बातें करूं: कदाचित उस में बीस मिलें। उसने कहा, मैं बीस के कारण भी उसका नाश न करूंगा।

32 And he said, Oh let not the Lord be angry, and I will speak yet but this once: peradventure ten shall be found there. And he said, I will not destroy it for the ten's sake.फिर उसने कहा, हे प्रभु, क्रोध न कर, मैं एक ही बार और कहूंगा: कदाचित उस में दस मिलें। उसने कहा, तो मैं दस के कारण भी उसका नाश न करूंगा।

33 And Jehovah went his way, as soon as he had left off communing with Abraham: and Abraham returned unto his place.जब यहोवा इब्राहीम से बातें कर चुका, तब चला गया: और इब्राहीम अपने घर को लौट गया॥
