Genesis 11 - WEB (Hindi)

1 The whole earth was of one language and of one speech.सारी पृथ्वी पर एक ही भाषा, और एक ही बोली थी।

2 It happened, as they traveled east, that they found a plain in the land of Shinar; and they lived there.उस समय लोग पूर्व की और चलते चलते शिनार देश में एक मैदान पाकर उस में बस गए।

3 They said one to another, "Come, let's make brick, and burn them thoroughly." They had brick for stone, and they used tar for mortar.तब वे आपस में कहने लगे, कि आओ; हम ईंटें बना बना के भली भाँति आग में पकाएं, और उन्होंने पत्थर के स्थान में ईंट से, और चूने के स्थान में मिट्टी के गारे से काम लिया।

4 They said, "Come, let's build us a city, and a tower, whose top reaches to the sky, and let's make us a name; lest we be scattered abroad on the surface of the whole earth."फिर उन्होंने कहा, आओ, हम एक नगर और एक गुम्मट बना लें, जिसकी चोटी आकाश से बातें करे, इस प्रकार से हम अपना नाम करें ऐसा न हो कि हम को सारी पृथ्वी पर फैलना पड़े।

5 Yahweh came down to see the city and the tower, which the children of men built.जब लोग नगर और गुम्मट बनाने लगे; तब इन्हें देखने के लिये यहोवा उतर आया।

6 Yahweh said, "Behold, they are one people, and they have all one language; and this is what they begin to do. Now nothing will be withheld from them, which they intend to do.और यहोवा ने कहा, मैं क्या देखता हूं, कि सब एक ही दल के हैं और भाषा भी उन सब की एक ही है, और उन्होंने ऐसा ही काम भी आरम्भ किया; और अब जितना वे करने का यत्न करेंगे, उस में से कुछ उनके लिये अनहोना न होगा।

7 Come, let's go down, and there confuse their language, that they may not understand one another's speech."इसलिये आओ, हम उतर के उनकी भाषा में बड़ी गड़बड़ी डालें, कि वे एक दूसरे की बोली को न समझ सकें।

8 So Yahweh scattered them abroad from there on the surface of all the earth. They stopped building the city.इस प्रकार यहोवा ने उन को, वहां से सारी पृथ्वी के ऊपर फैला दिया; और उन्होंने उस नगर का बनाना छोड़ दिया।

9 Therefore the name of it was called Babel, because Yahweh confused the language of all the earth, there. From there, Yahweh scattered them abroad on the surface of all the earth.इस कारण उस नगर को नाम बाबुल पड़ा; क्योंकि सारी पृथ्वी की भाषा में जो गड़बड़ी है, सो यहोवा ने वहीं डाली, और वहीं से यहोवा ने मनुष्यों को सारी पृथ्वी के ऊपर फैला दिया॥

10 This is the history of the generations of Shem. Shem was one hundred years old, and became the father of Arpachshad two years after the flood.शेम की वंशावली यह है। जल प्रलय के दो वर्ष पश्चात जब शेम एक सौ वर्ष का हुआ, तब उसने अर्पक्षद को जन्म दिया।

11 Shem lived after he became the father of Arpachshad five hundred years, and became the father of sons and daughters.और अर्पक्षद ने जन्म के पश्चात शेम पांच सौ वर्ष जीवित रहा; और उसके और भी बेटे बेटियां उत्पन्न हुई॥

12 Arpachshad lived thirty-five years, and became the father of Shelah.जब अर्पक्षद पैंतीस वर्ष का हुआ, तब उसने शेलह को जन्म दिया।

13 Arpachshad lived after he became the father of Shelah four hundred three years, and became the father of sons and daughters.और शेलह के जन्म के पश्चात अर्पक्षद चार सौ तीन वर्ष और जीवित रहा, और उसके और भी बेटे बेटियां उत्पन्न हुईं॥

14 Shelah lived thirty years, and became the father of Eber:जब शेलह तीस वर्ष का हुआ, तब उसके द्वारा एबेर को जन्म हुआ।

15 and Shelah lived after he became the father of Eber four hundred three years, and became the father of sons and daughters.और एबेर के जन्म के पश्चात शेलह चार सौ तीन वर्ष और जीवित रहा, और उसके और भी बेटे बेटियां उत्पन्न हुईं॥

16 Eber lived thirty-four years, and became the father of Peleg.जब एबेर चौंतीस वर्ष का हुआ, तब उसके द्वारा पेलेग का जन्म हुआ।

17 Eber lived after he became the father of Peleg four hundred thirty years, and became the father of sons and daughters.और पेलेग के जन्म के पश्चात एबेर चार सौ तीस वर्ष और जीवित रहा, और उसके और भी बेटे बेटियां उत्पन्न हुईं॥

18 Peleg lived thirty years, and became the father of Reu.जब पेलेग तीस वर्ष को हुआ, तब उसके द्वारा रू का जन्म हुआ।

19 Peleg lived after he became the father of Reu two hundred nine years, and became the father of sons and daughters.और रू के जन्म के पश्चात पेलेग दो सौ नौ वर्ष और जीवित रहा, और उसके और भी बेटे बेटियां उत्पन्न हुई॥

20 Reu lived thirty-two years, and became the father of Serug.जब रू बत्तीस वर्ष का हुआ, तब उसके द्वारा सरूग का जन्म हुआ।

21 Reu lived after he became the father of Serug two hundred seven years, and became the father of sons and daughters.और सरूग के जन्म के पश्चात रू दो सौ सात वर्ष और जीवित रहा, और उसके और भी बेटे बेटियां उत्पन्न हुईं॥

22 Serug lived thirty years, and became the father of Nahor.जब सरूग तीस वर्ष का हुआ, तब उसके द्वारा नाहोर का जन्म हुआ।

23 Serug lived after he became the father of Nahor two hundred years, and became the father of sons and daughters.और नाहोर के जन्म के पश्चात सरूग दो सौ वर्ष और जीवित रहा, और उसके और भी बेटे बेटियां उत्पन्न हुईं॥

24 Nahor lived twenty-nine years, and became the father of Terah.जब नाहोर उनतीस वर्ष का हुआ, तब उसके द्वारा तेरह का जन्म हुआ।

25 Nahor lived after he became the father of Terah one hundred nineteen years, and became the father of sons and daughters.और तेरह के जन्म के पश्चात नाहोर एक सौ उन्नीस वर्ष और जीवित रहा, और उसके और भी बेटे बेटियां उत्पन्न हुईं॥

26 Terah lived seventy years, and became the father of Abram, Nahor, and Haran.जब तक तेरह सत्तर वर्ष का हुआ, तब तक उसके द्वारा अब्राम, और नाहोर, और हारान उत्पन्न हुए॥

27 Now this is the history of the generations of Terah. Terah became the father of Abram, Nahor, and Haran. Haran became the father of Lot.तेरह की यह वंशावली है। तेरह ने अब्राम, और नाहोर, और हारान को जन्म दिया; और हारान ने लूत को जन्म दिया।

28 Haran died before his father Terah in the land of his birth, in Ur of the Chaldees.और हारान अपने पिता के साम्हने ही, कस्दियों के ऊर नाम नगर में, जो उसकी जन्म भूमि थी, मर गया।

29 Abram and Nahor took wives. The name of Abram's wife was Sarai, and the name of Nahor's wife, Milcah, the daughter of Haran who was also the father of Iscah.अब्राम और नाहोर ने स्त्रियां ब्याह लीं: अब्राम की पत्नी का नाम तो सारै, और नाहोर की पत्नी का नाम मिल्का था, यह उस हारान की बेटी थी, जो मिल्का और यिस्का दोनों का पिता था।

30 Sarai was barren. She had no child.सारै तो बांझ थी; उसके संतान न हुई।

31 Terah took Abram his son, Lot the son of Haran, his son's son, and Sarai his daughter-in-law, his son Abram's wife. They went forth from Ur of the Chaldees, to go into the land of Canaan. They came to Haran, and lived there.और तेरह अपना पुत्र अब्राम, और अपना पोता लूत जो हारान का पुत्र था, और अपनी बहू सारै, जो उसके पुत्र अब्राम की पत्नी थी इन सभों को ले कर कस्दियों के ऊर नगर से निकल कनान देश जाने को चला; पर हारान नाम देश में पहुंचकर वहीं रहने लगा।

32 The days of Terah were two hundred five years. Terah died in Haran.जब तेरह दो सौ पांच वर्ष का हुआ, तब वह हारान देश में मर गया॥
