1 Then the LORD said to Moses, Go in to Pharaoh, and tell him, Thus saith the LORD God of the Hebrews, Let my people go, that they may serve me.फिर यहोवा ने मूसा से कहा, फिरोन के पास जा कर कह, कि इब्रियों का परमेश्वर यहोवा तुझ से इस प्रकार कहता है, कि मेरी प्रजा के लोगों को जाने दे, कि मेरी उपासना करें।

2 For if thou shalt refuse to let them go, and wilt hold them still,और यदि तू उन्हें जाने न दे और अब भी पकड़े रहे,

3 Behold, the hand of the LORD is upon thy cattle which are in the field, upon the horses, upon the asses, upon the camels, upon the oxen, and upon the sheep: there shall be a very grievous murrain.तो सुन, तेरे जो घोड़े, गदहे, ऊंट, गाय-बैल, भेड़-बकरी आदि पशु मैदान में हैं, उन पर यहोवा का हाथ ऐसा पड़ेगा कि बहुत भारी मरी होगी।

4 And the LORD shall sever between the cattle of Israel, and the cattle of Egypt: and there shall nothing die of all that belongs to the children of Israel.और यहोवा इस्राएलियों के पशुओं में और मिस्रियों के पशुओं में ऐसा अन्तर करेगा, कि जो इस्राएलियों के हैं उन में से कोई भी न मरेगा।

5 And the LORD appointed a set time, saying, To-morrow the LORD will do this thing in the land.फिर यहोवा ने यह कहकर एक समय ठहराया, कि मैं यह काम इस देश में कल करूंगा।

6 And the LORD did that thing on the morrow, and all the cattle of Egypt died: but of the cattle of the children of Israel died not one.दूसरे दिन यहोवा ने ऐसा ही किया; और मिस्र के तो सब पशु मर गए, परन्तु इस्राएलियों का एक भी पशु न मरा।

7 And Pharaoh sent, and behold, there was not one of the cattle of the Israelites dead. And the heart of Pharaoh was hardened, and he did not let the people go.और फिरौन ने लोगों को भेजा, पर इस्राएलियों के पशुओं में से एक भी नहीं मरा था। तौभी फिरौन का मन सुन्न हो गया, और उसने उन लोगों को जाने न दिया।

8 And the LORD said to Moses and to Aaron, Take to you handfuls of ashes of the furnace, and let Moses sprinkle it towards heaven in the sight of Pharaoh.फिर यहोवा ने मूसा और हारून से कहा, कि तुम दोनों भट्टी में से एक एक मुट्ठी राख ले लो, और मूसा उसे फिरौन के साम्हने आकाश की ओर उड़ा दे।

9 And it shall become small dust in all the land of Egypt, and shall be a boil breaking forth with blains upon man, and upon beast, throughout all the land of Egypt.तब वह सूक्ष्म धूल हो कर सारे मिस्र देश में मनुष्यों और पशुओं दोनों पर फफोले और फोड़े बन जाएगी।

10 And they took ashes of the furnace, and stood before Pharaoh; and Moses sprinkled it towards heaven; and it became a boil breaking forth with blains upon man, and upon beast.सो वे भट्टी में की राख ले कर फिरौन के साम्हने खड़े हुए, और मूसा ने उसे आकाश की ओर उड़ा दिया, और वह मनुष्यों और पशुओं दोनों पर फफोले और फोड़े बन गई।

11 And the magicians could not stand before Moses, because of the boil: for the boil was upon the magicians, and upon all the Egyptians.और उन फोड़ोंके कारण जादूगर मूसा के साम्हने खड़े न रह सके, क्योंकि वे फोड़े जैसे सब मिस्रियों के वैसे ही जादूगरों के भी निकले थे।

12 And the LORD hardened the heart of Pharaoh, and he hearkened not to them; as the LORD had spoke to Moses.तब यहोवा ने फिरौन के मन को कठोर कर दिया, और जैसा यहोवा ने मूसा से कहा था, उसने उसकी न सुनी॥

13 And the LORD said to Moses, Rise early in the morning, and stand before Pharaoh, and say to him, Thus saith the LORD God of the Hebrews, Let my people go, that they may serve me.फिर यहोवा ने मूसा से कहा, बिहान को तड़के उठ कर फिरौन के साम्हने खड़ा हो, और उससे कह इब्रियों का परमेश्वर यहोवा इस प्रकार कहता है, कि मेरी प्रजा के लोगों को जाने दे, कि वे मेरी उपासना करें।

14 For I will at this time send all my plagues upon thy heart, and upon thy servants, and upon thy people: that thou mayest know that there is none like me in all the earth.नहीं तो अब की बार मैं तुझ पर, और तेरे कर्मचारियों और तेरी प्रजा पर सब प्रकार की विपत्तियां डालूंगा, जिससे तू जान ले कि सारी पृथ्वी पर मेरे तुल्य कोई दूसरा नहीं है।

15 For now I will stretch out my hand, that I may smite thee and thy people with pestilence; and thou shalt be cut off from the earth.मैं ने तो अभी हाथ बढ़ाकर तुझे और तेरी प्रजा को मरी से मारा होता, और तू पृथ्वी पर से सत्यनाश हो गया होता;

16 And in very deed for this cause have I raised thee up, to show in thee my power; and that my name may be declared throughout all the earth.परन्तु सचमुच मैं ने इसी कारण तुझे बनाए रखा है, कि तुझे अपना सामर्थ्य दिखाऊं, और अपना नाम सारी पृथ्वी पर प्रसिद्ध करूं।

17 As yet dost thou exalt thyself against my people, that thou wilt not let them go?क्या तू अब भी मेरी प्रजा के साम्हने अपने आप को बड़ा समझता है, और उन्हें जाने नहीं देता?

18 Behold, to-morrow about this time I will cause it to rain a very grievous hail, such as hath not been in Egypt since its foundation even until now.सुन, कल मैं इसी समय ऐसे भारी भारी ओले बरसाऊंगा, कि जिन के तुल्य मिस्र की नेव पड़ने के दिन से ले कर अब तक कभी नहीं पड़े।

19 Send therefore now, and gather thy cattle, and all that thou hast in the field: for upon every man and beast which shall be found in the field, and shall not be brought home, the hail shall come down upon them, and they shall die.सो अब लोगों को भेज कर अपने पशुओं को अपने मैदान में जो कुछ तेरा है सब को फुर्ती से आड़ में छिपा ले; नहीं तो जितने मनुष्य वा पशु मैदान में रहें और घर में इकट्ठे न किए जाएं उन पर ओले गिरेंगे, और वे मर जाएंगे।

20 He that feared the word of the LORD, among the servants of Pharaoh, made his servants and his cattle flee into the houses:इसलिये फिरौन के कर्मचारियोंमें से जो लोग यहोवा के वचन का भय मानते थे उन्होंने तो अपने अपने सेवकों और पशुओं को घर में हाँक दिया।

21 And he that regarded not the word of the LORD, left his servants and his cattle in the field.पर जिन्होंने यहोवा के वचन पर मन न लगाया उन्होंने अपने सेवकों और पशुओं को मैदान में रहने दिया॥

22 And the LORD said to Moses, Stretch forth thy hand towards heaven, that there may be hail in all the land of Egypt, upon man, and upon beast, and upon every herb of the field, throughout the land of Egypt.तक यहोवा ने मूसा से कहा, अपना हाथ आकाश की ओर बढ़ा, कि सारे मिस्र देश के मनुष्यों पशुओं और खेतों की सारी उपज पर ओले गिरें।

23 And Moses stretched forth his rod towards heaven, and the LORD sent thunder and hail, and the fire ran along upon the ground: and the LORD rained hail upon the land of Egypt.तब मूसा ने अपनी लाठी को आकाश की ओर उठाया; और यहोवा मेघ गरजाने और ओले बरसाने लगा, और आग पृथ्वी तक आती रही। इस प्रकार यहोवा ने मिस्र देश पर ओले बरसाए।

24 So there was hail, and fire mingled with the hail, very grievous, such as there had been none like it in all the land of Egypt, since it became a nation.जो ओले गिरते थे उनके साथ आग भी मिली हुई थी, और वे ओले इतने भारी थे कि जब से मिस्र देश बसा था तब से मिस्र भर में ऐसे ओले कभी न गिरे थे।

25 And the hail smote, throughout all the land of Egypt, all that was in the field, both man and beast, and the hail smote every herb of the field and broke every tree of the field.इसलिये मिस्र भर के खेतों में क्या मनुष्य, क्या पशु, जितने थे सब ओलों से मारे गए, और ओलों से खेत की सारी उपज नष्ट हो गई, और मैदान के सब वृक्ष टूट गए।

26 Only in the land of Goshen, where the children of Israel were, there was no hail.केवल गोशेन देश में जहां इस्राएली बसते थे ओले नहीं गिरे।

27 And Pharaoh sent, and called for Moses and Aaron, and said to them, I have sinned this time: the LORD is righteous, and I and my people are wicked.तब फिरौन ने मूसा और हारून को बुलवा भेजा और उन से कहा, कि इस बार मैं ने पाप किया है; यहोवा धर्मी है, और मैं और मेरी प्रजा अधर्मी हैं।

28 Entreat the LORD (for it is enough) that there be no more mighty thunderings and hail; and I will let you go, and ye shall stay no longer.मेघों का गरजना और ओलों का बरसना तो बहुत हो गया; अब भविष्य में यहोवा से बिनती करो; तब मैं तुम लोगों को जाने दूंगा, और तुम न रोके जाओगे।

29 And Moses said to him, As soon as I am gone out of the city, I will spread abroad my hands to the LORD; and the thunder shall cease, neither shall there be any more hail; that thou mayest know how that the earth is the LORD'S.मूसा ने उससे कहा, नगर से निकलते ही मैं यहोवा की ओर हाथ फैलाऊंगा, तब बादल का गरजना बन्द हो जाएगा, और ओले फिर न गिरेंगे, इस से तू जान लेगा कि पृथ्वी यहोवा ही की है।

30 But as for thee and thy servants, I know that ye will not yet fear the LORD God.तौभी मैं जानता हूं, कि न तो तू और न तेरे कर्मचारी यहोवा परमेश्वर का भय मानेंगे।

31 And the flax and the barley were smitten: for the barley was in the ear, and the flax was bolled.सन और जव तो ओलों से मारे गए, क्योंकि जव की बालें निकल चुकी थीं और सन में फूल लगे हुए थे।

32 But the wheat and the rye were not smitten; for they were not grown up.पर गेहूं और कठिया गेहूं जो बढ़े न थे, इस कारण वे मारे न गए।

33 And Moses went out of the city from Pharaoh, and spread abroad his hands to the LORD: and the thunders and hail ceased, and the rain was not poured upon the earth.जब मूसा ने फिरौन के पास से नगर के बाहर निकल कर यहोवा की ओर हाथ फैलाए, तब बादल का गरजना और ओलों का बरसना बन्द हुआ, और फिर बहुत मेंह भूमि पर न पड़ा।

34 And when Pharaoh saw that the rain and the hail and the thunders had ceased, he sinned yet more, and hardened his heart, he and his servants.यह देख कर कि मेंह और ओलों और बादल का गरजना बन्द हो गया फिरौन ने अपने कर्मचारियों समेत फिर अपने मन को कठोर करके पाप किया।

35 And the heart of Pharaoh was hardened, neither would he let the children of Israel go; as the LORD had spoken by Moses.और फिरौन का मन हठीला होता गया, और उसने इस्राएलियों को जाने न दिया; जैसा कि यहोवा ने मूसा के द्वारा कहलवाया था॥
