फिर यहोवा ने मूसा से कहा, अपना हाथ आकाश की ओर बढ़ा कि मिस्र देश के ऊपर अन्धकार छा जाए, ऐसा अन्धकार कि टटोला जा सके।

thine hand	יָֽדְךָ֙	yād	yahd
toward	עַל	ʿal	al
heaven,	הַשָּׁמַ֔יִם	šāmayim	sha-ma-YEEM
that there may be	וִ֥יהִי	hāyâ	ha-YA
darkness	חֹ֖שֶׁךְ	ḥōšek	hoh-SHEK
over	עַל	ʿal	al
the land	אֶ֣רֶץ	ʾereṣ	eh-RETS
of Egypt,	מִצְרָ֑יִם	miṣrayim	meets-ra-YEEM
may be felt.	וְיָמֵ֖שׁ	māšaš	ma-SHAHSH
even darkness	חֹֽשֶׁךְ׃	ḥōšek	hoh-SHEK
