1 Then Solomon began to build the house of Yahweh at Jerusalem on Mount Moriah, where [Yahweh] appeared to David his father, which he made ready in the place that David had appointed, in the threshing floor of Ornan the Jebusite.સુલેમાને યહોવાનું મંદિર બાંધવાની શરૂઆત કરી, જ્યા એના પિતા દાઉદને મોરિયા પર્વત પર યહોવાએ દર્શન આપ્યા હતા. એ જગ્યા યબૂસી ઓર્નાન ઘઉં ઝૂડવાની ખળી ઉપર હતી. સુલેમાન બાંધકામ શરૂ કરે તે પહેલા દાઉદે તે જગ્યા તૈયાર કરી હતી.

2 He began to build in the second [day] of the second month, in the fourth year of his reign.સુલેમાને બાંધકામની શરૂઆત પોતાના શાશનના ચોથા વર્ષના બીજા મહિનામાં કરી.

3 Now these are the foundations which Solomon laid for the building of the house of God. The length by cubits after the first measure was sixty cubits, and the breadth twenty cubits.હવે સુલેમાને દેવનું મંદિર બાંધવા માટે જે પાયો નાખ્યો હતો તે જૂના પ્રમાણિત માપ મૂજબ 60 હાથ લાંબો અને 20 હાથ પહોળો હતો.

4 The porch that was before [the house], the length of it, according to the breadth of the house, was twenty cubits, and the height one hundred twenty; and he overlaid it within with pure gold.મંદિરના આગળના પ્રાગણની લંબાઇ, મંદિરની પહોળાઇ જેટલી 20 હાથ હતી, અને ઊંચાઇ 120 હાથ હતી, એનો અંદરનો ભાગ સુલેમાને શુદ્ધ સોનાથી મઢાવ્યો હતો.

5 The greater house he made a ceiling with fir-wood, which he overlaid with fine gold, and worked thereon palm trees and chains.મંદિરની અંદરના મોટા ઓરડાની અંદરની દીવાલોને દેવદારના પાટિયાંથી જડી દીધેલી હતી અને તેમને શુદ્ધ સોનાથી મઢી દીધી હતી અને તેમના ઉપર ખજૂરીઓ તથા સાંકળીઓ કોતરેલી હતી.

6 He garnished the house with precious stones for beauty: and the gold was gold of Parvaim.તેણે એ મંદિરને રત્નોથી શણગાર્યું. અને તેમાં તેણે પાર્વાઇમની ભૂમિનું સોનું વાપર્યું હતું.

7 He overlaid also the house, the beams, the thresholds, and the walls of it, and the doors of it, with gold; and engraved cherubim on the walls.તેણે મંદિરનો અંદરનો ભાગ, તેના ઉંબરા, તેની પરસાળો તેની ભીંતો અને તેના બારણાં સોનાથી મઢાવ્યાં અને ભીંતો ઉપર ફરૂબોના ચિત્રો કોતરાવ્યાં હતાં.

8 He made the most holy house: the length of it, according to the breadth of the house, was twenty cubits, and the breadth of it twenty cubits; and he overlaid it with fine gold, amounting to six hundred talents.મંદિરમાં એક તરફ પરમપવિત્રસ્થાન હતું, તેનું માપ: પહોળાઇ20 હાથ અને ઊંચાઇ 20 હાથ હતી. તેને સોનાથી મઢવામાં આવ્યું હતું. જેનું વજન લગભગ 20,400 કિલો જેટલું હતું.

9 The weight of the nails was fifty shekels of gold. He overlaid the upper chambers with gold.સોનાના ખીલાઓનું વજન પચાસ શેકેલ હતું અને ઉપરના ઓરડાઓને પણ સોનાથી મઢાવ્યા હતાં.

10 In the most holy house he made two cherubim of image work; and they overlaid them with gold.તેણે પરમપવિત્રસ્થાન કરૂબ દેવદૂતોની બે પૂતળાં ઘડાવ્યાં અને તેને સોનાથી મઢાવ્યા.

11 The wings of the cherubim were twenty cubits long: the wing of the one [cherub] was five cubits, reaching to the wall of the house; and the other wing was [likewise] five cubits, reaching to the wing of the other cherub.એ કરૂબ દેવદૂતોની પાંખોનો કુલ વિસ્તાર 20 હાથનો હતો. એક કરૂબ દેવદૂતની એક પાંખ પાંચ હાથ ફેલાઇને મંદિરની ભીંતને અડતી હતી અને બીજી પાંખ,5 હાથ ફેલાઇને બીજા કરૂબ દેવદૂતની પાંખને અડતી હતી.

12 The wing of the other cherub was five cubits, reaching to the wall of the house; and the other wing was five cubits [also], joining to the wing of the other cherub.એજ રીતે બીજા કરૂબ દેવદૂતની એક પાંખ ફેલાઇને મંદિરની બીજી ભીંતને અડતી હતી. અને બીજી પાંખ પહેલા કરૂબ દેવદૂતની પાંખને અડતી હતી

13 The wings of these cherubim spread themselves forth twenty cubits: and they stood on their feet, and their faces were toward the house.આ પ્રમાણે કરૂબ દેવદૂતોની પાંખો 20 હાથ ફેલાયેલી હતી; તેઓ પોતાના પગ ઉપર ઊભા રહેલા, ને તેઓનાં ચહેરા અંદરની તરફ વળેલા હતાં અને તેઓ પગ પર ટટ્ટાર ઉભાં હતાં.

14 He made the veil of blue, and purple, and crimson, and fine linen, and worked cherubim thereon.તેણે નીલા, જાંબુડા, અને ઉજળા લાલ રંગના શણના પડદા બનાવ્યા, ને તેના ઉપર કરૂબ દેવદૂતોની આકૃતિનું ભરતકામ કરેલું હતું.

15 Also he made before the house two pillars of thirty-five cubits high, and the capital that was on the top of each of them was five cubits.મંદિરની આગળ 35 હાથ ઊંચા બે સ્તંભ ચણાવ્યા અને તેઓ પર 5 હાથ ઊંચા કળશ મૂક્યા,

16 He made chains in the oracle, and put [them] on the tops of the pillars; and he made one hundred pomegranates, and put them on the chains.તેણે તોરણો બનાવડાવીને તે સ્તંભોના મથાળાં ફરતે બાંધ્યા અને 100 દાડમો કરાવી તે તોરણે મુકાવ્યાં.

17 He set up the pillars before the temple, one on the right hand, and the other on the left; and called the name of that on the right hand Jachin, and the name of that on the left Boaz.એ બે સ્તંભો તેણે મંદિરની સામે ઊભા કરાવ્યા, એક જમણી બાજુએ અને એક ડાબી બાજુએ. જમણી બાજુના સ્તંભનુ નામ “યાખીન” અને ડાબી બાજુનાનું નામ “બોઆઝ” રાખ્યું.
