Psalm 137 - BBE (Gujarati)

1 By the rivers of Babylon we were seated, weeping at the memory of Zion,અમે બાબિલની નદીઓને કાંઠે બેઠા; સિયોનનું સ્મરણ થયું ત્યારે અમે રડ્યા.

2 Hanging our instruments of music on the trees by the waterside.એટલે અમે વીણાઓ વગાડવી બંધ કરી; અને નેતરના વૃક્ષની ડાળીઓ પર ટાંગી દીધી.

3 For there those who had taken us prisoners made request for a song; and those who had taken away all we had gave us orders to be glad, saying, Give us one of the songs of Zion.અમારા બંધકોએ અમને આનંદી ગીતો ગાવા કહ્યું; જેઓએ અમને યાતના આપી હતી તેઓએ અમને જણાવ્યું કે, ફકત તેમને ખુશ કરવા સિયોનનાં ગીતોમાંનું કોઇ એક ગીત ગાઓ.

4 How may we give the Lord's song in a strange land?આ વિદેશી ભૂમિ પર આપણે યહોવાના ગીતો કેવી રીતે ગાઇ શકીએ?

5 If I keep not your memory, O Jerusalem, let not my right hand keep the memory of its art.હે યરૂશાલેમ, જો હું તને ભૂલી જાઉં તો એવું થાઓ, “મારો જમણો હાથ તંતુવાદ્યની કળા ભૂલી જાય.”

6 If I let you go out of my thoughts, and if I do not put Jerusalem before my greatest joy, let my tongue be fixed to the roof of my mouth.જો હું યરૂશાલેમનું સ્મરણ ન કરું, અને મારા ઉત્તમ આનંદ કરતાં પણ તેને શ્રેષ્ઠ ન માનું તો મારી જીભ મારા તાળવાને ચોટી જાય અને હું ફરી કદી ય ગાઇ શકું નહિ.

7 O Lord, keep in mind against the children of Edom the day of Jerusalem; how they said, Let it be uncovered, uncovered even to its base.હે યહોવા, બાબિલના સૈન્યે યરૂશાલેમને કબજે કર્યુ તે દિવસે અદોમીઓએ જે કહ્યું તે તમે ભૂલી ન જતાં; તેઓએ કહ્યું હતું, “તેને જમીનદોસ્ત કરી નાખો.”

8 O daughter of Babylon, whose fate is destruction; happy is the man who does to you what you have done to us.હે બાબિલ તેઁ અમારો નાશ કર્યો છે એ જ રીતે તારો નાશ કરવામાં આવશે જે માણસ તને યોગ્ય સજા આપે તેને આશીર્વાદ આપ.

9 Happy is the man who takes your little ones, crushing them against the rocks.હા, જે માણસ તારાં બાળકોને ખડક પર અફાળીને મારી નાખશે; તે ધન્ય કહેવાશે.
