Proverbs 9 - ASV (Gujarati)

1 Wisdom hath builded her house; She hath hewn out her seven pillars:જ્ઞાનેે પોતાનું ઘર બાંધ્યું છે. તેણે પોતાના સાત સ્તંભો કોતરી કાઢયા છે;

2 She hath killed her beasts; She hath mingled her wine; She hath also furnished her table:તેણે માંસ અને દ્રાક્ષારસ તૈયાર કર્યા છે; અને મેજ ગોઠવીને તૈયાર કર્યુ છે.

3 She hath sent forth her maidens; She crieth upon the highest places of the city:તેણે પોતાની દાસીઓને શહેરમાં ઊંચામાં ઊંચા સ્થાનેથી આ જાહેર કરવા મોકલી છે કે,

4 Whoso is simple, let him turn in hither: As for him that is void of understanding, she saith to him,“કોઇ ભોળું હોય, તે અહીં અંદર આવે; અને બુદ્ધિહીન લોકોને તે કહે છે,

5 Come, eat ye of my bread, And drink of the wine which I have mingled.આવો, મારી સાથે ભોજન લો અને મેં રેડેલો દ્રાક્ષારસ પીઓ.

6 Leave off, ye simple ones, and live; And walk in the way of understanding.તમારી હઠ છોડી દો તો જીવવા પામશો, બુદ્ધિને માગેર્ ચાલો.”

7 He that correcteth a scoffer getteth to himself reviling; And he that reproveth a wicked man `getteth' himself a blot.જે ઉદ્ધત માણસને ઠપકો આપે છે તે અપમાનિત થાય છે. જે દુષ્ટ માણસને સુધારવા જાય છે તે દુ:ભાય છે.

8 Reprove not a scoffer, lest he hate thee: Reprove a wise man, and he will love thee.ઉદ્ધત માણસને ઠપકો ન આપો, નહિ તો તે તારો તિરસ્કાર કરશે, જ્ઞાની માણસને ભૂલ બતાવશો તો તે તમને પ્રેમ કરશે.

9 Give `instruction' to a wise man, and he will be yet wiser: Teach a righteous man, and he will increase in learning.જો તમે જ્ઞાની વ્યકિતને સલાહ આપશો તો તે વધુ જ્ઞાની બનશે. અને ન્યાયી વ્યકિતને શિક્ષણ આપશો તો તેના જ્ઞાનમાં વૃદ્ધિ થશે.

10 The fear of Jehovah is the beginning of wisdom; And the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.યહોવાથી ડરવું એ જ્ઞાનની શરૂઆત છે, પરમપવિત્રની ઓળખાણ એ જ બુદ્ધિની શરૂઆત છે.

11 For by me thy days shall be multiplied, And the years of thy life shall be increased.જ્ઞાનને લીધે તારું આયુષ્ય લાંબુ થશે અને તારા જીવનના વષોર્ વધશે.

12 If thou art wise, thou art wise for thyself; And if thou scoffest, thou alone shalt bear it.જો તું જ્ઞાની હોય તો એ તારા લાભની વાત છે.જો તું ઉદ્ધત થઇશ, તો તારે તેની કિંમ્મત ચૂકવવી પડશે.મૂર્ખ સ્ત્રી કંકાસિપણ

13 The foolish woman is clamorous; `She is' simple, and knoweth nothing.મૂર્ખ સ્ત્રી કંકાસિપણ છે; અને સમજણ વગરની છે. અને છેક અજાણ છે.

14 And she sitteth at the door of her house, On a seat in the high places of the city,તે નગરની ઊંચી જગાઓ ઉપર અને પોતાના ઘરને બારણે બેસે છે.

15 To call to them that pass by, Who go right on their ways:ત્યાંથી તેણી પોતાને માગેર્ ઝડપથી પસાર થતા લોકોને બોલાવે છે.

16 Whoso is simple, let him turn in hither; And as for him that is void of understanding, she saith to him,“જે કોઇ મૂર્ખ હોય, તેે અહીં અંદર આવે; અને બુદ્ધિહીનને તેણી કહે છે કે,

17 Stolen waters are sweet, And bread `eaten' in secret is pleasant.“ચોરીને પીધેલું પાણી મીઠું લાગે છે, અને છુપાવીને ખાધેલો રોટલો સ્વાદિષ્ટ લાગે છે.”

18 But he knoweth not that the dead are there; That her guests are in the depths of Sheol.પરંતુ એ લોકોને ખબર નથી કે ત્યાં તો મોતની જગ્યા છે. અને તેના મહેમાનો શેઓલ તરફ આગળ વધી રહ્યાં છે.
