Proverbs 29 - ASV (Gujarati)

1 He that being often reproved hardeneth his neck Shall suddenly be destroyed, and that without remedy.જે માણસ વારંવાર ઠપકો પામ્યા છતાં પોતાની ગરદન અક્કડ રાખે છે, તે અકસ્માત નાશ પામશે, તેનો કોઇ ઉપાય રહેશે નહિ.

2 When the righteous are increased, the people rejoice; But when a wicked man beareth rule, the people sigh.જ્યારે ન્યાયી લોકો સત્તા પર આવે છે ત્યારે લોકો આનંદોત્સવ કરે છે, પણ દુર્જનના હાથમાં સત્તા આવે છે ત્યારે તેઓ નિસાસા નાખે છે.

3 Whoso loveth wisdom rejoiceth his father; But he that keepeth company with harlots wasteth `his' substance.જે કોઇ જ્ઞાનને પ્રેમ કરે તે પોતાના પિતાને આનંદ આપે છે; પણ જે વારાંગના સાથે સબંધ રાખે છે તે પોતાની સંપત્તિ પણ ગુમાવે છે.

4 The king by justice establisheth the land; But he that exacteth gifts overthroweth it.નીતિમાન ન્યાયી રાજા દેશને સ્થિરતા અપેર્ છે, પણ લાંચ મેળવવાનું ચાહે છે તે તેનો નાશ કરે છે.

5 A man that flattereth his neighbor Spreadeth a net for his steps.જે માણસ પોતાના પડોશીના ખોટા વખાણ કરે છે તે તેને ફસાવવા જાળ પાથરે છે.

6 In the transgression of an evil man there is a snare; But the righteous doth sing and rejoice.દુર્જન પોતાના પાપનાં ફાંદામાં ફસાય છે. સજ્જન આનંદ કરે છે.

7 The righteous taketh knowledge of the cause of the poor; The wicked hath not understanding to know `it'.સજ્જન ગરીબોના હિતની ચિંતા રાખે છે. દુર્જનને તે સમજવાની પણ પડી નથી.

8 Scoffers set a city in a flame; But wise men turn away wrath.તિરસ્કાર કરનાર માણસો શહેર ઉશ્કેરે છે, પરંતુ હોશિયાર રોષને સમાવે છે.

9 If a wise man hath a controversy with a foolish man, Whether he be angry or laugh, there will be no rest.જો ડાહ્યો માણસ મૂર્ખ સાથે ન્યાયાલયમાં જાય તો તો મૂર્ખ ડાહી વ્યકિત પર ગુસ્સે થશે અને હસશે, અને ત્યાં કાંઇ સૂઝાવ નહિ હોય.

10 The bloodthirsty hate him that is perfect; And as for the upright, they seek his life.લોહી તરસ્યા માણસો પ્રામાણિક માણસો પર વૈર રાખે છે, અને તેઓ ન્યાયી માણસોને મારી નાખવા માટે ઝૂરે છે.

11 A fool uttereth all his anger; But a wise man keepeth it back and stilleth it.મૂર્ખ માણસ પોતનો ક્રોધ બહાર ઠાલવે છે, પણ ડાહી વ્યકિત પોતાની જાતને કાબૂમાં રાખે છે.

12 If a ruler hearkeneth to falsehood, All his servants are wicked.કોઇ શાસનકર્તા જૂઠાંણું કાને ધરે છે, તો તેના બધા અમલદારો દુષ્ટ થઇ જાય છે.

13 The poor man and the oppressor meet together; Jehovah lighteneth the eyes of them both.ગરીબને જેઓ તેમને તકલીફ આપે છે તેમનામાં એક સમાનતા છે. યહોવાએ તેમને જીવન આપ્યુ છે.

14 The king that faithfully judgeth the poor, His throne shall be established for ever.જે રાજા વિશ્વાસુપણાથી ગરીબોનો ન્યાય કરે છે, તેનો હોદૃો સદાને માટે સ્થિર રહેશે.

15 The rod and reproof give wisdom; But a child left to himself causeth shame to his mother.સોટી તથા ઠપકો જ્ઞાન આપે છે; પણ સ્વતંત્ર મૂકેલું બાળક પોતાની માને ફજેત કરે છે.

16 When the wicked are increased, transgression increaseth; But the righteous shall look upon their fall.દુર્જનો સત્તા ઉપર આવે છે ત્યારે પાપ વધે છે, પણ સજ્જનો તેઓની પડતી થતી જોશે.

17 Correct thy son, and he will give thee rest; Yea, he will give delight unto thy soul.તું તારા દીકરાને શિક્ષા કરીશ તો તે તારા માટે આશીર્વાદરૂપ હશે, તે તારા હૈયાને આનંદ આપશે.

18 Where there is no vision, the people cast off restraint; But he that keepeth the law, happy is he.જ્યાં સંદર્શન નથી, ત્યાં લોકો સ્વેચ્છાચારી બની જાય છે, પણ જે દેવના નિયમને વળગી રહે છે તે સુખી છે.

19 A servant will not be corrected by words; For though he understand, he will not give heed.ગુલામોને એકલા શબ્દથી સુધારી ન શકાય, કારણ, તે સમજશે તો પણ ગણકારશે નહિ.

20 Seest thou a man that is hasty in his words? There is more hope of a fool than of him.તમે ઝડપથી બોલતા માણસને જુઓ છો? તેના કરતાં મૂર્ખ માટે વધારે આશા છે.

21 He that delicately bringeth up his servant from a child Shall have him become a son at the last.નાનપણથી લાડમાં ઉછરેલો ગુલામ પછીથી તે તેનો દીકરો થઇ જાય છે.

22 An angry man stirreth up strife, And a wrathful man aboundeth in transgression.ક્રોધી માણસ ઝઘડા સળગાવે છે, અને ગુસ્સાવાળો વ્યકિત ઘણા ગુના કરે છે.

23 A man's pride shall bring him low; But he that is of a lowly spirit shall obtain honor.અભિમાન વ્યકિતને અપમાનિત કરે છે, પણ નમ્રતાથી વ્યકિત સન્માન મેળવે છે.

24 Whoso is partner with a thief hateth his own soul; He heareth the adjuration and uttereth nothing.ચોરનો ભાગીદાર પોતાનો જ દુશ્મન છે; તેને જુબાની આપવા માટે બોલાવાય છે, પણ સાક્ષી નથી પૂરતો.

25 The fear of man bringeth a snare; But whoso putteth his trust in Jehovah shall be safe.વ્યકિતનો ભય એ છટકું છે, પણ જે કોઇ યહોવા પર વિશ્વાસ રાખે છે તે સુરક્ષિત છે.

26 Many seek the ruler's favor; But a man's judgment `cometh' from Jehovah.સૌ કોઇ શાશકની કૃપા શોધે છે, પણ ન્યાય તો યહોવા પાસેથી જ મળી શકે છે.

27 An unjust man is an abomination to the righteous; And he that is upright in the way is an abomination to the wicked.પણ સજ્જનો દુર્જનોને તિરસ્કારે છે અને દુર્જનો સાચા માગેર્ ચાલનારને ધૂત્કારે છે.
