Proverbs 16 - YLT (Gujarati)

1 Of man `are' arrangements of the heart, And from Jehovah an answer of the tongue.માણસો મનમાં સંકલ્પ કરે છે; પણ છેલ્લો નિર્ણય તો યહોવાના હાથમાં છે.

2 All the ways of a man are pure in his own eyes, And Jehovah is pondering the spirits.વ્યકિતને પોતાનું બધું આચરણ સાચું લાગે છે પરંતુ યહોવા તેના અંતરને પારખે છે.

3 Roll unto Jehovah thy works, And established are thy purposes,તમારા કામો યહોવાને સોંપી દે એટલે તમારી યોજનાઓ સફળ થશે.

4 All things hath Jehovah wrought for Himself, And also the wicked `worketh' for a day of evil.યહોવાએ પ્રત્યેક વસ્તુને પોતપોતાના હેતુ માટે ર્સજી છે; હા, દુષ્ટોને પણ, સંકટના કાળ માટે ર્સજ્યા છે.

5 An abomination to Jehovah `is' every proud one of heart, Hand to hand he is not acquitted.દરેક અભિમાની વ્યકિતને યહોવા ધિક્કારે છે, ખાતરી રાખજો તેને સજા થયા વગર નહિ રહે.

6 In kindness and truth pardoned is iniquity, And in the fear of Jehovah Turn thou aside from evil.દયા તથા સત્યતાથી પાપનું પ્રાયશ્ચિત થાય છે, અને યહોવાનો ડર વ્યકિતને દુષ્ટતાથી દૂર રાખે છે.

7 When a man's ways please Jehovah, even his enemies, He causeth to be at peace with him.જ્યારે કોઇ વ્યકિતના જીવનથી યહોવા ખુશ થાય છે ત્યારે તેના દુશ્મનોને પણ તેની સાથે શાંતિથી રાખે છે.

8 Better `is' a little with righteousness, Than abundance of increase without justice.અન્યાયથી મળેલી ધણી આવક કરતા, ન્યાયથી મળેલી થોડી આવક સારી છે.

9 The heart of man deviseth his way, And Jehovah establisheth his step.વ્યકિતનું મન માર્ગ પસંદ કરે છે, પરંતુ માત્ર યહોવા જ તેના પગલાને નક્કી કરે છે.

10 An oath `is' on the lips of a king, In judgment his mouth trespasseth not.રાજાના મુખમાં પ્રેરણાત્મક નિર્ણયો વસે છે, તે જ્યારે ન્યાય કરે છે ત્યારે ભૂલ કરતો નથી.

11 A just beam and balances `are' Jehovah's, His work `are' all the stones of the bag.અદલ કાંટો તથા ત્રાજવાં યહોવાનાં છે. કોથળી માંહેનાં સર્વ કાટલાં તેનું કામ છે.

12 An abomination to kings `is' doing wickedness, For by righteousness is a throne established.અનિષ્ટ વસ્તુઓ કરવી એ રાજા માટે અક્ષમ્ય છે, સારા કામોથી રાજગાદી સ્થાપિત થાય છે.

13 The delight of kings `are' righteous lips, And whoso is speaking uprightly he loveth,સાચી વાણીથી રાજાઓ રીઝે છે, અને સત્યવાદી ઉપર તેઓ પ્રેમ રાખે છે.

14 The fury of a king `is' messengers of death, And a wise man pacifieth it.રાજાનો રોષ યમદૂતો જેવો છે; પણ શાણી વ્યકિત તેના ગુસ્સાને શાંત પાડે છે.

15 In the light of a king's face `is' life, And his good-will `is' as a cloud of the latter rain.જ્યારે રાજાનું મુખ પ્રસન્ન હોય છે ત્યારે જીવન સુરક્ષિત હોય છે, એની કૃપા વરસાદના વાદળ જેવી છે.

16 To get wisdom -- how much better than gold, And to get understanding to be chosen than silver!સોના કરતાં જ્ઞાન મેળવવું એ ઉત્તમ છે! અને ચાંદી કરતા સમજણ મેળવવી વધારે યોગ્ય છે.

17 A highway of the upright `is', `Turn from evil,' Whoso is preserving his soul is watching his way.પ્રામાણિક માણસનો માર્ગ દુષ્ટતાથી દૂર હોય છે, જોઇવિચારીને ચાલનાર પોતાનો જીવ બચાવે છે.

18 Before destruction `is' pride, And before stumbling -- a haughty spirit.'અભિમાનનું પરિણામ નાશ છે, અને પતનની પહેલાં ગવિર્ષ્ઠ સ્વભાવ આવે છે.

19 Better is humility of spirit with the poor, Than to apportion spoil with the proud.ગરીબની સાથે નમ્રતા રાખવી તે અભિમાનીની લૂંટના ભાગીદાર થવા કરતાં વધારે સારું છે.

20 The wise in any matter findeth good, And whoso is trusting in Jehovah, O his happiness.જે યહોવાના વચનને ગણકારે છે તેનું હિત થશે. અને જે કોઇ યહોવા પર વિશ્વાસ રાખે છે તેને ધન્ય છે.

21 To the wise in heart is called, `Intelligent,' And sweetness of lips increaseth learning.જ્ઞાની અંત:કરણવાળો શાણો કહેવાશે; તેની મીઠી વાણી જ્ઞાનનો વધારો કરે છે.

22 A fountain of life `is' understanding to its possessors, The instruction of fools is folly.જેની પાસે સમજ હોય તેને માટે સમજણ જીવનદાતા છે, પણ મૂર્ખ માટે શિક્ષા એ તેમની મૂર્ખાઇ છે.

23 The heart of the wise causeth his mouth to act wisely, And by his lips he increaseth learning,જ્ઞાની હૃદય વ્યકિતની વાણીને દોરવણી આપે છે અને તે હોઠ ઉપર જ્ઞાનનો વધારો કરે છે.

24 Sayings of pleasantness `are' a honeycomb, Sweet to the soul, and healing to the bone.માયાળુ શબ્દો મધ જેવા છે, તેઓ આત્માને સ્વાદે મીઠી અને હાડકા માટે તંદુરસ્ત આપે છે.

25 There is a way right before a man, And its latter end -- ways of death.એક એવો પણ માર્ગ હોય છે જે લાગે સીધો પણ લઇ જાય છે મૃત્યુ તરફ.

26 A labouring man hath laboured for himself, For his mouth hath caused `him' to bend over it.મજૂરની ભૂખ તેની પાસે મજૂરી કરાવે છે; તેનું મોઢું માણસને જંપીને બેસવા દેતું નથી.

27 A worthless man is preparing evil, And on his lips -- as a burning fire.નકામો માણસ દુષ્ટ યોજનાઓ ઘડે છે. તેની જીભે બળબળતો અજ્ઞિ છે.

28 A froward man sendeth forth contention, A tale-bearer is separating a familiar friend.દુષ્ટ માણસ કજિયા-કંકાસ કરાવે છે, લોકો વિષે અનિષ્ટ બોલનારી વ્યકિત મિત્રોમાં ફૂટ પડાવે છે.

29 A violent man enticeth his neighbour, And hath causeth him to go in a way not good.હિંસક માણસ પોતાના પડોશીને છેતરીને ખરાબ માગેર્ દોરી જાય છે.

30 Consulting his eyes to devise froward things, Moving his lips he hath accomplished evil.આંખ મટકાવનાર વ્યકિત મુશ્કેલી લાવનારી યોજનાઓ કરે છે, અને હોઠ ભીડનાર વ્યકિત કંઇક અનિષ્ટ કરી રહી હોય છે.

31 A crown of beauty `are' grey hairs, In the way of righteousness it is found.માથે પળિયાં એે ગૌરવનો તાજ છે; સત્યને માગેર્ ચાલનારને એ મળે છે.

32 Better `is' the slow to anger than the mighty, And the ruler over his spirit than he who is taking a city.જે ક્રોધ કરવે ધીમો શકિતશાળી યોદ્ધા કરતાં વધું ઇચ્છનીય છે; અને જે પોતાના મિજાજને કાબૂમાં રાખે છે તે શહેર જીતનાર કરતાં ઉત્તમ છે.

33 Into the centre is the lot cast, And from Jehovah `is' all its judgment!લોકો દ્વારા ચિઠ્ઠી નાખવામાં આવે છે, પણ નિર્ણય તો તે બધાંયનો યહોવાના હાથમાં છે.
