Proverbs 11 - YLT (Gujarati)

1 Balances of deceit `are' an abomination to Jehovah, And a perfect weight `is' His delight.ખોટાં ત્રાજવાનો યહોવાને ગુસ્સો છે. પણ સાચાં કાટલાં જોઇ તેને આનંદ થાય છે.

2 Pride hath come, and shame cometh, And with the lowly `is' wisdom.અહંકાર આવે એટલે અપમાન આવ્યું જ જાણવું; પણ નમ્રતા જ્યાં હોય ત્યાં જ્ઞાન હોય છે.

3 The integrity of the upright leadeth them, And the perverseness of the treacherous destroyeth them.પ્રામાણિક માણસની વિશ્વસનીયતા તેને દોરેે છે, પણ ધોખેબાજની વક્રતા તેના દુષ્ટ ઇરાદાને છુપાવે છે.

4 Wealth profiteth not in a day of wrath, And righteousness delivereth from death.જ્યારે દેવ કોપાયમાન થાય ત્યારે સંપત્તિ કામ નહિ આવે, પણ પ્રામાણિકતા વ્યકિતને મોતથી ઉગારે છે.

5 The righteousness of the perfect maketh right his way, And by his wickedness doth the wicked fall.પ્રામાણિક માણસની નીતિમત્તા તેનો માર્ગ સાફ કરે છે, પણ ખરાબ વ્યકિતની દુષ્ટતા જ તેને પાયમાલ કરે છે.

6 The righteousness of the upright delivereth them, And in mischief the treacherous are captured.માણસો પોતાની ભલાઈથી બચી જશે. પરંતુ કપટ કરનારા તેમની પોતાની ઇચ્છાઓની જ જાળમાં ફસાય છે.

7 In the death of a wicked man, hope perisheth, And the expectation of the iniquitous hath been lost.દુષ્ટ માણસનું મોત આવતાં તેની અભિલાષાનો અંત આવે છે, તેણે પોતાની સંપત્તિમાં રાખેલી આશાનો પણ અંત આવે છે.

8 The righteous from distress is drawn out, And the wicked goeth in instead of him.સદાચારી લોકો સંકટમાંથી ઊગરી જાય છે અને તેને બદલે દુષ્ટો તેમાં ફસાય છે.

9 With the mouth a hypocrite corrupteth his friend, And by knowledge the righteous are drawn out.દુષ્ટ માણસ પોતાની વાણીથી પડોશીઓનો નાશ નોતરે છે. પરંતુ ન્યાયી તેના જ્ઞાનવડે બીજાઓને ઉગારે છે.

10 In the good of the righteous a city exulteth, And in the destruction of the wicked `is' singing.ન્યાયી વ્યકિત સફળ થાય છે ત્યારે આખું નગર હરખાય છે; અને દુષ્ટોનો નાશ થાય છે ત્યારે હર્ષના નાદ સંભળાય છે.

11 By the blessing of the upright is a city exalted, And by the mouth of the wicked thrown down.સદાચારીના આશીર્વાદથી નગરની ઉન્નતિ થાય છે, પણ દુરાચારીની વાણીથી તેનો નાશ થાય છે.

12 Whoso is despising his neighbour lacketh heart, And a man of understanding keepeth silence.જે વ્યકિત પોતાના પડોશી માટે ખરાબ બોલે છે તેનામાં અક્કલ હોતી નથી. પણ સમજુ માણસ મૂંગો રહે છે.

13 A busybody is revealing secret counsel, And the faithful of spirit is covering the matter.કૂથલી ખોર વ્યકિત છૂપી વાત બહાર પાડી દે છે, પણ વિશ્વાસુ વ્યકિત રહસ્ય સાચવે છે.

14 Without counsels do a people fall, And deliverance `is' in a multitude of counsellors.જ્યાં આગેવાન અજ્ઞાન હોય, ત્યાં પ્રજા નાશ પામે છે. અનેક સલાહકારોમાં સુરક્ષા રહેલી છે.

15 Evil `one' suffereth when he hath been surety `for' a stranger, And whoso is hating suretyship is confident.અજાણ્યાના જામીન થનારને વેઠવું પડે છે; જે બાયંધરી લેવાનું ટાળે છે તે સુરક્ષિત છે.

16 A gracious woman retaineth honour, And terrible `men' retain riches.સુશીલ સ્ત્રી આબરૂને સાચવી રાખે છે; અને જુલમી માણસો દ્રવ્ય સાચવી રાખે છે.

17 A kind man is rewarding his own soul, And the fierce is troubling his own flesh.દયાળુ માણસ પોતાની જાતનું ભલું કરે છે, પણ ક્રૂર માણસ પોતાના દેહને દુ:ખમાં નાખે છે;

18 The wicked is getting a lying wage, And whoso is sowing righteousness -- a true reward.દુષ્ટ કમોર્ કરનાર પોતાનો જૂઠાણાનો પગાર મેળવે છે પણ જે નીતિમત્તાનું બીજ વાવે છે તે સાચો હોવા બદલ વળતર મેળવે છે.

19 Rightly `is' righteousness for life, And whoso is pursuing evil -- for his own death.જે નીતિમત્તાને ‘હા’ પાડે છે તે જીવશે; પણ જે ખરાબ વસ્તુઓનો પીછો કરે છે તે પોતાનું જ મોત આમંત્રે છે.

20 An abomination to Jehovah `are' the perverse of heart, And the perfect of the way `are' His delight.યહોવા માટે કપટી લોકો ઘૃણાસ્પદ છે; પણ જેઓ નીતિમત્તાથી જીવે છે તેઓ તેને આનંદરુપ છે.

21 Hand to hand, the wicked is not acquitted, And the seed of the righteous hath escaped.ખાતરી રાખજો દુષ્ટને સજા થયા વગર નહિ રહે, પણ સદાચારીઓનાં સંતાનો સજામાથી છટકી જશે.

22 A ring of gold in the nose of a sow -- A fair woman and stubborn of behaviour.અક્કલ વગરની સુંદર સ્ત્રીની સુંદરતા ભૂંડના નાકમાં સોનાની નથણી જેવી છે.

23 The desire of the righteous `is' only good, The hope of the wicked `is' transgression.ભલા માણસોની ઇચ્છાઓ સારી વસ્તુઓમાં પરિણમે છે, પરંતુ દુષ્ટોની ઇચ્છાઓ ફકત ગુસ્સામાંજ વિરમે છે.

24 There is who is scattering, and yet is increased, And who is keeping back from uprightness, only to want.કોઇ છૂટે હાથે આપે તોય વધે છે, કોઇ વધુ પડતી કરકસર કરે તોયે કંગાળ થાય છે.

25 A liberal soul is made fat, And whoso is watering, he also is watered.જે બીજાને આશીર્વાદ આપે છે તે સમૃદ્ધ થાય છે.

26 Whoso is withholding corn, the people execrate him, And a blessing `is' for the head of him who is selling.અનાજ સંઘરી રાખનારને લોકો શાપ દે છે, પણ વેચનાર ઉપર આશીર્વાદ વરસાવે છે.

27 Whoso is earnestly seeking good Seeketh a pleasing thing, And whoso is seeking evil -- it meeteth him.જેઓ ભલું શોધે છે તેઓ ઇશ્વરની કૃપા મેળવે છે. ખોટું શોધે છે તેનું ખોટું થાય છે.

28 Whoso is confident in his wealth he falleth, And as a leaf, the righteous flourish.જેઓ પોતાની સંપત્તિ ઉપર વિશ્વાસ કરે છે તેઓ વિનાશને આરે જઇને પડે છે, પણ સદાચારી તંદુરસ્ત છોડની જેમ ફૂલેફાલે છે.

29 Whoso is troubling his own house inheriteth wind, And a servant `is' the fool to the wise of heart.જે પોતાના જ કુટુંબને દુ:ખી કરે છે, તે કંઇ નહિ મેળવે. અને મૂર્ખ માણસ જ્ઞાનીનો દાસ બનશે.

30 The fruit of the righteous `is' a tree of life, And whoso is taking souls `is' wise.ન્યાયી માણસ જે કરે તે જીવનનાં ઝાડ સમાન છે. પણ શાણો માણસ બીજા આત્માઓને બચાવે છે.

31 Lo, the righteous in the earth is recompensed, Surely also the wicked and the sinner!નીતિમાંન લોકોને ભલાઇનો બદલો મળતો હોય તો દુષ્ટો અને પાપીને તો બદલો મળે જ મળે.
