ઈસુની મા તેના વધસ્તંભ નજીક ઊભી હતી. તેની માની બહેન કલોપાની પત્ની તથા મગ્દલાની મરિયમ પણ ત્યાં હતી.

આ તો એક સુથારનો દીકરો છે. તેની મા મરિયમ તરીકે ઓળખાય છે. તેના ભાઈઓને યાકૂબ, યૂસફ, સિમોન અને યહૂદા તરીકે આપણે ઓળખીએ છીએ.

મગ્દલાની મરિયમ અને મરિયમ નામની બીજી સ્ત્રી કબરની નજીક બેઠી હતી.

આ સ્ત્રીઓમાં મગ્દલાની મરિયમ, યોહાન્ના યાકૂબની મા મરિયમ તથા કેટલીએક બીજી સ્ત્રીઓ હતી. આ સ્ત્રીઓએ પ્રેરિતોને જે કંઈ બન્યું હતું તે બધું કહ્યું.

કેટલીક સ્ત્રીઓ વધસ્તંભથી દૂર ઊભી રહીને જોતી હતી. આ સ્ત્રીઓમાં મરિયમ માગ્દલાની, ઈસુકો નાનો ભાઈ યાકૂબ તથા યોસેની મા મરિયમ અને શલોમી હતી. (યાકૂબ તેનો સૌથી નાનો પુત્ર હતો.)
