પછી પિલાતના સૈનિકો ઈસુને હાકેમના મહેલમાં લાવ્યા. બધા સૈનિકો ઈસુને આજુબાજુ ઘેરી વળ્યા.

પછી યહૂદિઓ ઈસુને કાયાફાના મકાનમાંથી રોમન હાકેમના દરબારમાં લઈ જાય છે. તે વહેલી સવારનો સમય હતો. યહૂદિઓ દરબારની અંદર જઈ શક્યા નહિ. તેઓ તેમની જાતને અશુદ્ધબનાવવા ઈચ્છતા નહોતા. કારણ કે તેઓ પાસ્ખાપર્વનું ભોજન ખાવા ઈચ્છતા હતા.
