Judges 2 - YLT (Gujarati)

1 And a messenger of Jehovah goeth up from Gilgal unto Bochim,એક દિવસ યહોવાએ પોતાના દેવદૂતને ગિલ્ગાલથી બોખીમ મોકલ્યો અને ઈસ્રાએલીઓને કહ્યું, “મેં તમને મિસરમાંથી બહાર કાઢયા છે અને તમાંરા પિતૃઓને મેં વચન આપ્યું હતું તે પ્રમાંણે આ ભૂમિ તમને આપી છે, મેં તમને આપેલું વચન ક્યારેય તોડીશ નહિ,

2 and saith, `I cause you to come up out of Egypt, and bring you in unto the land which I have sworn to your fathers, and say, I do not break My covenant with you to the age; and ye -- ye make no covenant with the inhabitants of this land -- their altars ye break down; and ye have not hearkened to My voice -- what `is' this ye have done?તેમ તમાંરે પણ આ દેશની પ્રજા સાથે કોઈ કરાર કરવો નહિ, તમાંરે તે લોકોની વેદીઓ તોડી પાડવી. પણ તમે માંરી આજ્ઞાનું પાલન કર્યું નથી, તમે લોકો આ શું કરી બેઠા છો?

3 And I also have said, I do not cast them out from your presence, and they have been to you for adversaries, and their gods are to you for a snare.'“તમે માંરા કરારનો ભંગ કર્યો છે તેથી હું તમને કહું છું કે હવે હું આ લોકોને તમાંરી આગળથી હાંકી કાઢીશ નહિ, તેઓ તમાંરી કૂખોમાં કાંટાની જેમ ભોંકાશે અને તેઓના દેવો તમને સતત શત્રુઓની જેમ ફસાવશે.”

4 And it cometh to pass, when the messenger of Jehovah speaketh these words unto all the sons of Israel, that the people lift up their voice and weep,દેવદૂતે બધા ઈસ્રાએલીઓને આ શબ્દો સંભળાવ્યા એટલે તેઓ મોટે સાદે રડવા લાગ્યા:

5 and they call the name of that place Bochim, and sacrifice there to Jehovah.અને તે પરથી તે સ્થળનું નામ ‘બોખીમ’પડયું. ત્યાં તેઓએ યહોવાને યજ્ઞો કર્યો.

6 And Joshua sendeth the people away, and the sons of Israel go, each to his inheritance, to possess the land;યહોશુઆએ લોકોને તેમના ઘરે પાછા મોકલી દીધાં. તેથી સર્વ કુળસમૂહના ઈસ્રાએલી લોકો તેમના ઘરે પાછા ગયા અને પોતાની ભૂમિનો કબજો લીધો.

7 and the people serve Jehovah all the days of Joshua, and all the days of the elders who prolonged days after Joshua, who saw all the great work of Jehovah which He did to Israel.જયારે યહોશુઆ જીવતા હતાં અને ઈસ્રાએલના વડીલો જેઓ યહોવાએ કરેલા મહાન કાર્યોના સાક્ષી હતાં, અને જેઓ યહોશુઆથી લાંબુ જીવ્યા હતાં, ત્યાં સુધી લોકો યહોવાની સેવા કરતા રહ્યાં.

8 And Joshua son of Nun, servant of Jehovah, dieth, a son of a hundred and ten years,એકસો દસ વર્ષની ઉંમરે નૂનનો પુત્ર યહોશુઆ, યહોવાનો સેવક મૃત્યુ પામ્યો.

9 and they bury him in the border of his inheritance, in Timnath-Heres, in the hill-country of Ephraim, on the north of mount Gaash;તેને ગાઆશ પર્વતની ઉત્તરે એફ્રાઈમના પહાડી પ્રદેશમાં આવેલી ભૂમિમાં જે તિમ્નાથ હેરેસની જમીન તેના હિસ્સામાં આવી હતી ત્યાં દફનાવવામાં આવ્યો.

10 and also all that generation have been gathered unto their fathers, and another generation riseth after them who have not known Jehovah, and even the work which He hath done to Israel.તેના પછી આ આખી પેઢી ગુજરી ગઈ. બીજી પેઢી આવી, તેને ન હતી યહોવાની ખબર કે ન હતી ઈસ્રાએલીઓ માંટે તેણે કરેલાં ઉમદા કાર્યોની ખબર.

11 And the sons of Israel do the evil thing in the eyes of Jehovah, and serve the Baalim,તેઓએ યહોવાની દૃષ્ટિએ પાપ ગણાય એવું આચરણ કર્યુ અને અન્ય બઆલ દેવની મૂર્તિઓની પૂજા કરવા લાગ્યા.

12 and forsake Jehovah, God of their fathers, who bringeth them out from the land of Egypt, and go after other gods (of the gods of the peoples who `are' round about them), and bow themselves to them, and provoke Jehovah,યહોવાએ કરેલી મદદને કારણે તેઓ મિસરમાંથી બહાર આવી ગયા. પણ તેઓએ તેમના પિતૃઓને મદદ કરનાર દેવ યહોવાને છોડી દીધા અને તેમની આસપાસના દેવોની પૂજા કરવા લાગ્યા. અન્ય દેવોની પૂજા કરીને તેઓએ યહોવાને કોપ વધારી દીધો.

13 yea, they forsake Jehovah, and do service to Baal and to Ashtaroth.તે લોકોએ યહોવાની ઉપાસના છોડીને બઆલ દેવ અને આશ્તારોથ દેવોની પૂજા કરવા માંડી.

14 And the anger of Jehovah burneth against Israel, and He giveth them into the hand of spoilers, and they spoil them, and He selleth them into the hand of their enemies round about, and they have not been able any more to stand before their enemies;યહોવાનો પ્રકોપ ઈસ્રાએલીઓ સામે ભભૂકી ઊઠયો અને તેણે તેઓને શત્રુઓના હાથમાં સોંપી દીધા, જેઓ તેમને લૂંટતા રહ્યાં; તેણે તેમને આસપાસના શત્રુઓને હવાલે કરી દીધા અને ઈસ્રાએલીઓ તેમની સામે ટકી શક્યા નહિ,

15 in every `place' where they have gone out, the hand of Jehovah hath been against them for evil, as Jehovah hath spoken, and as Jehovah hath sworn to them, and they are distressed -- greatly.ઈસ્રાએલી લોકો પોતાના શત્રુઓ સામે યુદ્ધ કરવા જતા ત્યારે યહોવાનો હાથ તેઓની વિરુદ્ધ રહેતો, યહોવાએ તે લોકોને ચેતવણી આપી હતી અને પ્રતિજ્ઞા લીધી હતી કે પોતે આ પ્રમાંણે કરશે. પરિણામે ઈસ્રાએલીઓ ભારે આફતમાં આવી પડયા.

16 And Jehovah raiseth up judges, and they save them from the hand of their spoilers;ત્યારબાદ યહોવાએ ઈસ્રાએલીઓ ઉપર ન્યાયાધીશો નીમ્યા. અને તેઓએ તેમને શત્રુઓના હાથમાંથી ઉગારી લીધા.

17 and also unto their judges they have not hearkened, but have gone a-whoring after other gods, and bow themselves to them; they have turned aside `with' haste out of the way `in' which their fathers walked to obey the commands of Jehovah -- they have not done so.પણ તેમણે તે ન્યાયાધીશોનું પણ સાંભળ્યું નહી. તેઓ દેવ પ્રત્યેની વફાદારી છોડી દઈને અન્ય દેવદેવીઓને માંનવા લાગ્યા અને એમની પૂજા કરવા લાગ્યા. તેમના પિતૃઓ યહોવાની આજ્ઞા પ્રમાંણે રહેતા હતાં, પણ આ લોકોને આ ગમ્યું નહિ અને તેઓએ યહોવાના હુકમો માંનવાનું બંધ કરી દીધું.

18 And when Jehovah raised up to them judges -- then was Jehovah with the judge, and saved them out of the hand of their enemies all the days of the judge; for it repenteth Jehovah, because of their groaning from the presence of their oppressors, and of those thrusting them away.જયારે જયારે યહોવા તેમના ઉપર કોઈ ન્યાયાધીશ નીમતા ત્યારે તેઓ તેની સાથે રહેતા, તેણે તેઓની કાળજી લીધી અને તેમનું તેમના શત્રુઓથી રક્ષણ કર્યુ. તેણે તેઓની ઉપર દયા બતાવવા આમ કર્યુ કારણકે તેઓના શત્રુઓ દ્વારા તેમના ઉપર જુલમો અને અત્યાચારો થયાં હતાં.

19 And it hath come to pass, at the death of the judge -- they turn back and have done corruptly above their fathers, to go after other gods, to serve them, and to bow themselves to them; they have not fallen from their doings, and from their stiff way.ન્યાયાધીશના અવસાન પછી તેઓ યહોવાથી દૂર ફરી ગયા અને પોતાના પિતૃઓથી પણ વધારે ભ્રષ્ટ થઈ ગયાં, તેઓ અન્ય દેવની પૂજા કરતાં, તેમને પગે લાગતા; તેઓએ પોતાના દુષ્ટ માંર્ગોથી પાછા ફરવાનો ઈન્કાર કરી દીધો.

20 And the anger of Jehovah doth burn against Israel, and He saith, `Because that this nation have transgressed My covenant which I commanded their fathers, and have not hearkened to My voice --આથી ફરીથી યહોવાનો કોપ ઈસ્રાએલીઓ ઉપર ભભૂકી ઊઠતો, તે કહેતા, “આ પ્રજાએ મેં એમના પિતૃઓને પાળવા કહેલા કરારનો ભંગ કર્યો છે. મેં કરેલી આજ્ઞાઓનું પાલન તેમણે કર્યું નથી.

21 I also continue not to dispossess any from before them of the nations which Joshua hath left when he dieth,તેથી યહોશુઆ મૃત્યુ પામ્યા તે વખતે જે જે પ્રજાઓ જીતવાની બાકી હતી તેઓને હવે હું હાંકી કાઢીશ નહિ.

22 in order to try Israel by them, whether they are keeping the way of Jehovah, to go in it, as their fathers kept `it' or not.'અને એ રીતે, ઈસ્રાએલીઓ પોતાના પિતૃઓના પગલાને અનુસરશે કે નહિ, તેની હું કસોટી કરીશ.”

23 And Jehovah leaveth these nations, so as not to dispossess them hastily, and did not give them into the hand of Joshua.તેથી યહોવાએ એ પ્રજાઓને પોતાની ભૂમિમાંથી હાંકી કાઢયા વિના તેમને ત્યાં રહેવા દીધાં. તેણે તેમને યહોશુઆના હાથમાં પણ સોંપી દીધા નહોતા, અને તેણે ઈસ્રાએલીઓને તેઓનો નાશ કરવા દીધો નહિ.
