John 2 - ASV (Gujarati)

1 And the third day there was a marriage in Cana of Galilee; and the mother of Jesus was there:બે દિવસ પછી ગાલીલના કાના ગામમાં એક લગ્ન હતુ, ઈસુની મા ત્યાં હતી.

2 and Jesus also was bidden, and his disciples, to the marriage.ઈસુ અને તેના શિષ્યોને પણ લગ્નમાં નિમંત્રણ આપ્યુ હતું.

3 And when the wine failed, the mother of Jesus saith unto him, They have no wine.લગ્નમાં પૂરતા પ્રમાણમાં દ્રાક્ષારસ ન હતો. બધોજ દ્રાક્ષારસ પૂરો થઈ ગયા પછી ઈસુની માએ તેને કહ્યું, “તેઓ પાસે હવે વધારે દ્રાક્ષારસ નથી.”

4 And Jesus saith unto her, Woman, what have I to do with thee? mine hour is not yet come.ઈસુએ ઉત્તર આપ્યો, “વહાલી બાઈ, મારે શું કરવું તે તારે મને કહેવું જોઈએ નહિ. મારો સમય હજુ આવ્યો નથી.”

5 His mother saith unto the servants, Whatsoever he saith unto you, do it.ઈસુની માએ સેવકોને કહ્યું, “ઈસુ તમને જે કરવાનું કહે તે કરો.”

6 Now there were six waterpots of stone set there after the Jews' manner of purifying, containing two or three firkins apiece.તે જગ્યાએ છ મોટા પથ્થરનાં પાણીનાં કુંડાં હતાં. તે યહૂદિઓની શુદ્ધ કરવાની રીત પ્રમાણે આના જેવા પાણીનાં કુંડાંનો ઉપયોગ કરતા. પ્રત્યેક પાણીનાં કુંડાંમાં લગભગ 20 થી 30 ગેલન પાણી સમાતું.

7 Jesus saith unto them, Fill the waterpots with water. And they filled them up to the brim.ઈસુએ નોકરોને કહ્યું, “આ પાણીના કુંડાંઓને પાણીથી ભરો.” તેથી નોકરોએ કુંડાંઓને છલોછલ ભર્યા.

8 And he saith unto them, Draw out now, and bear unto the ruler of the feast. And they bare it.પછી ઈસુએ નોકરોને કહ્યું, “હવે થોડું પાણી બહાર કાઢો. જમણના કારભારી પાસે લઈ જાઓ.”તેથી નોકરો કારભારીની પાસે પાણી લાવ્યા.

9 And when the ruler of the feast tasted the water now become wine, and knew not whence it was (but the servants that had drawn the water knew), the ruler of the feast calleth the bridegroom,પછી લગ્નના જમણના કારભારીએ તે ચાખ્યો. પરંતુ તે પાણી દ્રાક્ષારસ થઈ ગયો હતો. તે માણસને ખબર નહોતી કે દ્રાક્ષારસ ક્યાંથી આવ્યો. પરંતુ જે નોકરો પાણી લાવ્યા તેઓએ જાણ્યું કે તે ક્યાંથી આવ્યો. લગ્નના કારભારીએ વરરાજાને બોલાવ્યો.

10 and saith unto him, Every man setteth on first the good wine; and when `men' have drunk freely, `then' that which is worse: thou hast kept the good wine until now.તેણે વરરાજાને કહ્યું, “લોકો હંમેશા ઉત્તમ દ્રાક્ષારસ પ્રથમ મૂકે છે ત્યાર બાદ મહેમાનોના સારી પેઠે પીધા પછી સસ્તો દ્રાક્ષારસ આપે છે. પણ તમે તો અત્યાર સુધી ઉત્તમ દ્રાક્ષારસ સાચવી રાખ્યો છે.”

11 This beginning of his signs did Jesus in Cana of Galilee, and manifested his glory; and his disciples believed on him.ઈસુએ કરેલો આ પ્રથમ ચમત્કાર હતો. ઈસુએ આ ચમત્કાર ગાલીલના કાના ગામમાં કર્યો. તેથી ઈસુએ તેનો મહિમા દેખાડયો. અને તેના શિષ્યોએ તેનામાં વિશ્વાસ મૂક્યો.

12 After this he went down to Capernaum, he, and his mother, and `his' brethren, and his disciples; and there they abode not many days.પછી ઈસુ કફર-નહૂમના નગરમાં ગયો. ઈસુની મા, ભાઈઓ અને તેના શિષ્યો તેની સાથે ગયા. તેઓ બધા કફર-નહૂમમાં થોડા દિવસ રહ્યા.

13 And the passover of the Jews was at hand, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem.તે લગભગ યહૂદિઓના પાસ્ખાપર્વનો સમય હતો, તેથી ઈસુ યરૂશાલેમમાં ગયો.

14 And he found in the temple those that sold oxen and sheep and doves, and the changers of money sitting:ઈસુ યરૂશાલેમના મંદિરમાં ગયો. ઈસુએ મંદિરમાં ઢોર, ઘેટાં અને કબૂતરો વેચનારાઓને જોયા. તેણે તેઓના મેજ પર નાણાવટીઓને બેઠેલા જોયા.

15 and he made a scourge of cords, and cast all out of the temple, both the sheep and the oxen; and he poured out the changers' money, and overthrew their tables;ઈસુએ કેટલાક દોરડાંના ટુકડાઓ વડે કોરડો બનાવ્યો. પછી ઈસુએ આ બધા માણસોને, ઘેટાંઓને, અને ઢોરોને મંદિર છોડી જવા દબાણ કર્યુ. ઈસુએ બાજઠો ઊધાં પાડ્યા અને લોકોનાં વિનિમયનાં નાણાં વેરી નાખ્યાં.

16 and to them that sold the doves he said, Take these things hence; make not my Father's house a house of merchandise.પછી ઈસુએ માણસોને જેઓ કબૂતરો વેચતાં હતા તેઓને કહ્યું, “આ વસ્તુઓ અહીંથી બહાર લઈ જાઓ. મારા પિતાના ઘરને ખરીદવા અને વેચવા માંટેનું ઘર ન કરો.”

17 His disciples remembered that it was written, Zeal for thy house shall eat me up.આ બન્યું ત્યારે ઈસુના શિષ્યોએ શાસ્ત્રલેખમાં લખાયેલા લખાણનું સ્મરણ કર્યુ: “તારા ઘરની મારી આસ્થા મારો નાશ કરે છે.” ગીતશાસ્ત્ર 699

18 The Jews therefore answered and said unto him, What sign showest thou unto us, seeing that thou doest these things?યહૂદિઓએ ઈસુને કહ્યું, “તને આ બધું કરવાનો અધિકાર છે તે સાબિત કરવા માટે અમને અદભૂત ચમત્કારોની એંધાણી બતાવ.”

19 Jesus answered and said unto them, Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.ઈસુએ કહ્યું, “આ મંદિરનો નાશ કરો અને હું ફરીથી ત્રણ દિવસમાં ઊભું કરીશ.”

20 The Jews therefore said, Forty and six years was this temple in building, and wilt thou raise it up in three days?યહૂદિઓએ ઉત્તર આપ્યો, “લોકોએ આ મંદિર બાંધવા 46 વર્ષ કામ કર્યુ. શું તું ખરેખર માને છે કે તું ત્રણ દિવસમાં ફરીથી તે બાંધી શકીશ?”

21 But he spake of the temple of his body.ઈસુ મંદિરનો અર્થ તેનું પોતાનું શરીર કરતો હતો.

22 When therefore he was raised from the dead, his disciples remembered that he spake this; and they believed the scripture, and the word which Jesus had said.ઈસુના મૃત્યુમાંથી ઊઠ્યા પછી તેના શિષ્યોને સ્મરણ થયું કે ઈસુએ આ કહ્યું હતું. તેથી તેના શિષ્યોએ તેના વિષેના લેખમાં વિશ્વાસ કર્યો. અને તેઓએ ઈસુ જે બોલ્યો હતો તે વચનમાં પણ વિશ્વાસ કર્યો.

23 Now when he was in Jerusalem at the passover, during the feast, many believed on his name, beholding his signs which he did.પાસ્ખાપર્વ માટે ઈસુ યરૂશાલેમમાં હતો. ઘણા લોકો ઈસુમાં વિશ્વાસ રાખતા, કારણ કે તેઓએ તેણે કરેલા ચમત્કારો જોયાં.

24 But Jesus did not trust himself unto them, for that he knew all men,પણ ઈસુએ તેમનો વિશ્વાસ કર્યો નહિ. શા માટે? કારણ કે તેઓ બધા લોકો જે વિચારતા હતા તે ઈસુ જાણતો હતો.

25 and because he needed not that any one should bear witness concerning man; for he himself knew what was in man.ઈસુને માણસ વિષે લોકો કહે તેવી કોઈ જરૂર ન હતી. માણસના મનમાં શું છે તે ઈસુ જાણ્યુ.
