Job 31 - WEB (Gujarati)

1 "I made a covenant with my eyes, How then should I look lustfully at a young woman?“મેં મારી આંખો સાથે કરાર કર્યો છે; કે કોઇ કુમારિકા સામે લાલસાભરી નજરે જોવું નહિ.

2 For what is the portion from God above, And the heritage from the Almighty on high?સર્વસમર્થ દેવ, લોકોને માટે શું કરે છે? તેના ઉચ્ચસ્થાનથી લોકોને બદલો કેવી રીતે આપે છે?

3 Is it not calamity to the unrighteous, And disaster to the workers of iniquity?શું તે દુરાચારીઓને માટે વિપત્તિ અને ખોટું કરનારાઓ માટે વિનાશ મોકલી આપતા નથી?

4 Doesn't he see my ways, And number all my steps?શું તે મારા આચરણ નથી જોતા? અને મારા બધાં પગલાં નથી ગણતા?

5 "If I have walked with falsehood, And my foot has hurried to deceitજો મેં કપટ ભરેલો આચાર કર્યો હોય, અથવા જો મારો પગ કોઇને છેતરવા તરફ વળ્યો હોય;

6 (Let me be weighed in an even balance, That God may know my integrity);જો દેવ ચોક્કસ માપનું ત્રાજવું ઊપયોગમાં લે તો તેને જાણ થશે કે હું નિદોર્ષ છું.

7 If my step has turned out of the way, If my heart walked after my eyes, If any defilement has stuck to my hands,જો હું સત્યના માર્ગથી પાછો ફર્યો હોઉં, મારી આંખોએ મારા હૃદયને અનિષ્ટ કરવા દીધું હોય અથવા તો જો મેં બીજા કોઇની નાની વસ્તુ પણ આંચકી લીધી હોય, તો દેવને જાણ થઇ જશે.

8 Then let me sow, and let another eat; Yes, let the produce of my field be rooted out.તો મારું વાવેલું અનાજ બીજાઓ ખાય અને મારા ઉગાવેલા છોડ ઊખેડી નાખવાનું યોગ્ય જ હશે.

9 "If my heart has been enticed to a woman, And I have laid wait at my neighbor's door;જો મારું મન કોઇ સ્ત્રી ઉપર લોભાયું હોય, જો મેં મારા પાડોશીના બારણે તેની પત્ની સાથે વ્યભિચાર કરવાની રાહ જોઇ હોય.

10 Then let my wife grind for another, And let others sleep with her.તો ભલે મારી પત્ની બીજા પુરુષ માટે રસોઇ કરે. અને ભલે બીજા પુરુષની થઇ જાય.

11 For that would be a heinous crime; Yes, it would be an iniquity to be punished by the judges:કારણકે જાતીય પાપ એ શરમજનક પાપ છે. એ તો ભયંકર શિક્ષાને પાત્ર છે.

12 For it is a fire that consumes to destruction, And would root out all my increase.તે તો એક અગ્નિ છે જે તમામ વસ્તુઓને સળગાવી નાખે છે. મેં જે કાઇ વાવ્યું છે તેને તે ઉખાડી શકે તેમ છે.

13 "If I have despised the cause of my man-servant Or of my maid-servant, When they contended with me;મેં મારા કર્મચારીઓનો હક કદી ડૂબાડી દીધો નથી.

14 What then shall I do when God rises up? When he visits, what shall I answer him?મેં જો એમ કર્યુ હોય તો જ્યારે દેવ મારી સામે આવીને ઊભા રહેશે તો હું શું કરીશ? જ્યારે તે પૂછશે મેં શું કર્યું, તો મારે શું કહેવું જોઇએ?

15 Didn't he who made me in the womb make him? Didn't one fashion us in the womb?કારણકે જે દેવે મને સજ્ર્યો છે તેણે જ મારાં નોકરચાકરોને ર્સજ્યા છે અ મને માતાઓના ગર્ભની અંદર દેવે અ મને સૌને આકાર આપ્યા છે.

16 "If I have withheld the poor from their desire, Or have caused the eyes of the widow to fail,મેં ગરીબોને કશું આપ્યું ન હોય તેવું કદી બન્યું નથી અને વિધવાઓને મેં કદી રડાવી નથી.

17 Or have eaten my morsel alone, And the fatherless has not eaten of itઅનાથો ભૂખ્યા હોય ત્યારે મેં એકલપેટાની જેમ કદી ખાધું નથી.

18 (No, from my youth he grew up with me as with a father, Her have I guided from my mother's womb);હું જુવાન હતો ત્યારથી મેં એમના પિતાની જેમ એમની સંભાળ લીધી છે અને વિધવાઓને તો મેં પહેલેથી જ મદદ કરી છે.

19 If I have seen any perish for want of clothing, Or that the needy had no covering;અને કોઇને ઠંડીથી થરથરતા અથવા તો એક ગરીબ માણસને ડગલા વગરનો જોયો હોય.

20 If his heart hasn't blessed me, If he hasn't been warmed with my sheep's fleece;મેં હમેશા તેઓને કપડાં આપ્યા તેઓને હૂંફાળા કરવા મેં મારા પોતાના ઘેટાંઓનું ઊન આપ્યું અને તેઓએ મને હૃદયપૂર્વક આશીર્વાદ આપ્યા.

21 If I have lifted up my hand against the fatherless, Because I saw my help in the gate:મેં એક અનાથ મદદ માગવા માટે તે જ્યારે દરવાજા પર આવ્યો હોય ત્યારે હાથ ઉઠાવ્યો હોય.

22 Then let my shoulder fall from the shoulder-blade, And my arm be broken from the bone.જો મેં આવું કશું કર્યુ હોય તો મારો હાથ તોડી નાંખવામાં આવે અને તેને ખભામાંથી ખેંચી કાઢવામાં આવે!

23 For calamity from God is a terror to me, By reason of his majesty I can do nothing.પણ મેં કાંઇ ખોટુ કર્યુ નથી. હું દેવની શિક્ષાથી ડરું છું. તેની મહાનતા મને ડરાવે છે.

24 "If I have made gold my hope, And have said to the fine gold, 'You are my confidence;'મેં મારી ધનસંપત્તિ પર કદી આધાર રાખ્યો નથી, અને હંમેશા મદદ કરવા માટે મને દેવમાં વિશ્વાસ હતો. મેં કદી કહ્યું નથી કે શુદ્ધ સ્વર્ણ, ‘તુંજ મારી એકમાત્ર આશા છે.’

25 If I have rejoiced because my wealth was great, And because my hand had gotten much;હું ધનવાન છું પણ તેથી હું અભિમાની નથી. હું ખૂબ પૈસા કમાયો. પણ તે એકજ એવી વસ્તુ નથી જેનાથી હું સુખી થયો.

26 If I have seen the sun when it shined, Or the moon moving in splendor,મેં તેજસ્વી સૂર્ય કે સુંદર ચંદ્રની પૂજા કરી નથી.

27 And my heart has been secretly enticed, My hand threw a kiss from my mouth:હું સૂર્ય અને ચંદ્રની પૂજા કરું એવો મૂર્ખ ન હતો.

28 This also would be an iniquity to be punished by the judges; For I should have denied the God who is above.તે પણ એક પાપ છે જેની સજા થવીજ જોઇએ. જો મેં એવી કોઇપણ વસ્તુની ઉપાસના કરી હોય તો હું દેવને વિશ્વાસુ રહ્યો હોઇશ નહિ.

29 "If I have rejoiced at the destruction of him who hated me, Or lifted up myself when evil found him;હું મારા શત્રુના દુ:ખે કદી ખુશ થયો નથી. તેઓની મુશ્કેલીમાં મેં કદી હાંસી નથી ઉડાવી.

30 (Yes, I have not allowed my mouth to sin By asking his life with a curse);મે મારા મુખને મારા દુશ્મનોને શાપ આપવાનું અને તેઓ મરી જાય તેમ ઇચ્છવાનું પાપ કદી કરવા દીધું નથી.

31 If the men of my tent have not said, 'Who can find one who has not been filled with his meat?'મારા ઘરમાં દરેક જણ જાણે છે કે મેં અજાણ્યાને કાયમ ખાવાનું આપ્યું છે.

32 (The foreigner has not lodged in the street; But I have opened my doors to the traveler);પરદેશીને માર્ગમાં ઉતારો કરવો પડતો નહોતો; પણ મુસાફરને માટે મારાઁ બારણાં હંમેશા ઉઘાડાં હતાં.

33 If like Adam I have covered my transgressions, By hiding my iniquity in my heart,જો આદમની જેમ મેં મારાં પાપ સંતાડ્યાં હોય,

34 Because I feared the great multitude, And the contempt of families terrified me, So that I kept silence, and didn't go out of the door--લોકો કદાચ શું કહેશે એવો મને કદી ડર લાગ્યો નથી. ડરે મને કદી ચૂપ રહેવા દીધો નથી. એણે મને કદી બહાર જતા રોક્યો નથી. લોકોના મારા પરના ધિક્કારથી હું ડરતો નથી.

35 Oh that I had one to hear me! (Behold, here is my signature, let the Almighty answer me); Let the accuser write my indictment!અરે હું ઇચ્છું છું, મને કોઇ સાંભળતું હોત! મને મારી બાજુ સમજાવવા દો. હું ઇચ્છું છું કે સર્વસમર્થ દેવ મને જવાબ આપે. હું ઇચ્છું છું કે તેને જે લાગે મેં ખોટું કર્યુ છે તો તે લખી નાખે.

36 Surely I would carry it on my shoulder; And I would bind it to me as a crown.તો હું એને મારે ખભે લટકાવીશ. હું રાજમુગટની જેમ તેને પહેરીશ.

37 I would declare to him the number of my steps. As a prince would I go near to him.હું મારા એકેએક પગલાનો અહેવાલ તેને આપીશ. હું મારું માથું ઊચુ રાખીને એની સામે ઊભો રહીશ.

38 If my land cries out against me, And the furrows of it weep together;મેં મારી જમીન કોઇ પાસેથી ચોરી નથી, કોઇપણ મને તેની ચોરી માટે દોષિત ઠરાવી શકે તેમ નથી.

39 If I have eaten the fruits of it without money, Or have caused the owners of it to lose their life:મેં હંમેશા ખેડૂતોને તેના ખોરાક માટે પૈસા ચૂકવ્યા, જે મને આ જમીનમાંથી મળ્યા. મેં કદી બીજા માણસની જમીન તેને મારી નાખીને ઝૂંટવવાની કોશિષ કરી નથી.

40 Let briars grow instead of wheat, And stinkweed instead of barley." The words of Job are ended.જો મેં કોઇ આવી ખરાબ બાબત કરી હોય તો એવું થજો કે મારી જમીનમાં ઘંઉ અને જવને બદલે કાંટા અને ખડ ઉગે!” અયૂબનું નિવેદન પૂરું થયું.
