James 3 - WEB (Gujarati)

1 Let not many of you be teachers, my brothers, knowing that we will receive heavier judgment.વહાલા ભાઈઓ અને બહેનો, તમારામાંના ઘણા ઉપદેશકો બનાવાનું પસંદ ન કરે. કેમ કે ઉપદેશકો થઇને તો બીજાઓ કરતાં કડક શિક્ષાને પાત્ર ઠરીએ છીએ.

2 For in many things we all stumble. If anyone doesn't stumble in word, the same is a perfect man, able to bridle the whole body also.આપણે બધા ઘણીજ ભૂલો કરીએ છીએ. જો કોઈ એવો માણસ હોય કે બોલવામાં કોઈ પણ ભૂલ ન કરે, ખરાબ ન બોલે, તો એ એક સંપૂર્ણ વ્યક્તિ છે અને તે તેની જીભ ઉપર અંકુશ રાખવા શક્તિમાન છે, તે સાબિત થાય છે.

3 Indeed, we put bits into the horses' mouths so that they may obey us, and we guide their whole body.ઘોડા જેવા પ્રાણીના મોંમા એક નાની લગામ રાખીને આપણે આપણી ઈચ્છા પ્રમાણે તેના આખા શરીરને ફેરવીએ છીએ.

4 Behold, the ships also, though they are so big and are driven by fierce winds, are yet guided by a very small rudder, wherever the pilot desires.એજ પ્રમાણે એક સુકાની ગમે તેટલા મોટા વહાણને એક નાના સુકાન વડે પોતે ધારે તે નિશ્ચિત માર્ગે, ધારે તે દિશામાં ચલાવી શકે છે. પછી ભલેને ભારે પવન ફુંકાતો હોય.

5 So the tongue is also a little member, and boasts great things. See how a small fire can spread to a large forest!એજ પ્રમાણે જીભ પણ એક નાનો અવયવ છે, છતાં તે મોટી વાતો કરવા બડાશ મારે છે.અજ્ઞિની નાની ચીનગારી મોટા જંગલને સળગાવી શકે છે.

6 And the tongue is a fire. The world of iniquity among our members is the tongue, which defiles the whole body, and sets on fire the course of nature, and is set on fire by Gehenna.{Gehenna is a name that describes a burning Hell with rotting bodies and unclean things in it}જીભ એક અજ્ઞિની જવાળા જેવી છે. તે આપણા શરીરના અવયવોમાં દુષ્ટતાના જગત જેવી છે. અને આપણા અસ્તિત્વને અસર કરે છે તથા આપણા આખા શરીરને પ્રદુષિત કરે છે, તે નરકમાંથી અજ્ઞિ પ્રાપ્ત કરીને આગની શરુંઆત કરે છે, જે આપણા સમગ્ર જીવનચક્રને અસર કરે છે.

7 For every kind of animal, bird, creeping thing, and thing in the sea, is tamed, and has been tamed by mankind.માણસ પ્રત્યેક પ્રકારના પશુઓ, પક્ષીઓ, પેટે ચાલનારાં અને જળચર પ્રાણીઓને વશ કરી શકે છે અને વશ કર્યા છે પણ ખરાં.

8 But nobody can tame the tongue. It is a restless evil, full of deadly poison.પણ કોઈ પણ માણસ એવો નથી કે જેણે જીભને કાબુમાં રાખી હોય. તે અંકુશ વિનાની ફેલાતી મરકી છે. જીભ પ્રાણઘાતક ઝેરથી ભરપૂર છે જે મારી શકે છે.

9 With it we bless our God and Father, and with it we curse men, who are made in the image of God.એનાથી આપણે પ્રભુની અને આપણા પિતાની (દેવ) સ્તુતિ કરીએ છીએ, અને એજ જીભ વડે દેવની પ્રતિમા પ્રમાણે ઉત્પન્ન થયેલાં માણસોને શાપ પણ આપીએ છીએ.

10 Out of the same mouth comes forth blessing and cursing. My brothers, these things ought not to be so.એક જ મુખમાથી સ્તુતિ તથા શાપ બંન્ને નીકળે છે. ભાઈઓ અને બહેનો, આવું ન જ થવું જોઈએે.

11 Does a spring send out from the same opening fresh and bitter water?શું ઝરણ એક જ મુખમાંથી મીઠું તથા ખાંરું પાણી આપી શકે? ના!

12 Can a fig tree, my brothers, yield olives, or a vine figs? Thus no spring yields both salt water and fresh water.મારા ભાઈઓ અને બહેનો, શું અંજીરી પરથી જૈતફળો અને દ્ધાક્ષાવેલા પરથી અંજીરી મેળવી શકાય છે! ના! અને એ રીતે તમે ખારા પાણીના કૂવામાંથી મીઠું પાણી કદી મેળવી શકો નહિ.

13 Who is wise and understanding among you? Let him show by his good conduct that his deeds are done in gentleness of wisdom.તમારામાંથી કોઈ ખરેખર જ્ઞાની અને સમજુક માણસ છે? જો એમ હોય તો, તેણે ન્યાયી જીવન જીવીને તેનું સાચું જ્ઞાન બતાવવું જોઈએે. જ્ઞાની માણસ અભિમાન કરતો નથી.

14 But if you have bitter jealousy and selfish ambition in your heart, don't boast and don't lie against the truth.તમે સ્વાર્થ અને હ્રદયમાં કડવી અદેખાઇ કરવાનું રાખશો તો તમારે અભિમાનનું કોઈજ કારણ નથી. તમારું અભિમાન જૂઠાણું છે જે સત્યને ઢાકી દે છે.

15 This wisdom is not that which comes down from above, but is earthly, sensual, and demonic.આ એવી જાતનું “જ્ઞાન” નથી કે જે દેવ પાસેથી પ્રાપ્ત થતું હોય, તેને બદલે તે જ્ઞાન જગતમાંથી પ્રાપ્ત થાય છે. તે ઐહિક, વિષયી, શેતાન પ્રેરિત છે.

16 For where jealousy and selfish ambition are, there is confusion and every evil deed.જ્યાં અદેખાઇ તથા સ્વાર્થી મહત્વાકાંક્ષા છે, ત્યાં અવ્યવસ્થા તથા સર્વ પ્રકારની ભૂડાઇ પ્રવર્તતી રહેશે.

17 But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceful, gentle, reasonable, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.પણ દેવ તરફથી આવતું જ્ઞાન નિર્મળ, શાંતિપ્રિય, નમ્ર અને ખુલ્લા મનનું, દયા અને ભલાઈથી ભરપૂર છે. સારાં ફળોથી ભરપૂર નિષ્પક્ષપાત તથા દંભરહિત છે.

18 Now the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace.જે લોકો શાંતિ માટે કાર્ય કરે છે તેઓ ન્યાયી જીવનમાંથી આવતાં સારાં વાનાં પ્રાપ્ત કરે છે.
