તે સમયે ઉઝિઝયાનો પૌત્ર અને યોથામનો પુત્ર આહાઝ યહૂદામા શાસન કરતો હતો ત્યારે અરામના રાજા રસીને તથા ઇસ્રાએલના રાજા રમાલ્યાના પુત્ર પેકાહ સાથે યરૂશાલેમ ઉપર ચઢાઇ કરી, પણ તેને કબજે ન કરી શક્યો.

હે રાષ્ટો! તમે અમારું ભૂંડુ કરવા નીકળ્યા છો. પણ તમે સફળ થઇ શકશો નહિ, તમે છિન્નભિન્ન થઇ જશો, હે દૂરના રાષ્ટો, તમે બધા સાંભળો; અમારી સામે યુદ્ધ કરવા તમારી જાતને સુસજ્જ કરો હા, અને નાશ પામો!
