આ અરસામાં બાલઅદાનનો પુત્ર મેરોદાખ-બાલઅદાન બાબિલનો રાજા હતો. થોડા સમય પછી તેણે હિઝિક્યા પર પોતાની શુભેચ્છાઓ તથા ઉપહારો મોકલાવ્યાં. હિઝિક્યા મરણતોલ માંદગીમાંથી સાજો થયો છે તેવા સમાચાર તેને મળ્યા હતા.
