પરંતુ યૂસફે તેની સ્પષ્ટ ના પાડી અને પોતાના શેઠની પત્નીને કહ્યું, “જુઓ, હું છું તેથી માંરા શેઠને ઘરમાં કોઈ વસ્તુની ચિંતા નથી, તેમણે તેમનું જે કાંઈ છે તે બધું એક તમાંરા અપવાદ સિવાય મને સોંપી દીધું છે.

But he refused,	וַיְמָאֵ֓ן׀	waymāʾēn	vai-ma-ANE
and said	וַיֹּ֙אמֶר֙	wayyōʾmer	va-YOH-MER
unto	אֶל	ʾel	el
his master's	אֵ֣שֶׁת	ʾēšet	A-shet
wife,	אֲדֹנָ֔יו	ʾădōnāyw	uh-doh-NAV
Behold,	הֵ֣ן	hēn	hane
my master	אֲדֹנִ֔י	ʾădōnî	uh-doh-NEE
wotteth	לֹֽא	lōʾ	loh
not	יָדַ֥ע	yādaʿ	ya-DA
what	אִתִּ֖י	ʾittî	ee-TEE
with is	מַה	ma	ma
me in the house,	בַּבָּ֑יִת	babbāyit	ba-BA-yeet
committed hath he and	וְכֹ֥ל	wĕkōl	veh-HOLE
all	אֲשֶׁר	ʾăšer	uh-SHER
that	יֶשׁ	yeš	yesh
he hath	ל֖וֹ	lô	loh
to my hand;	נָתַ֥ן	nātan	na-TAHN
	בְּיָדִֽי׃	bĕyādî	beh-ya-DEE
