1 John 4
1 મારા વહાલા મિત્રો, હમણા જગતમાં ઘણા જૂઠા પ્રબોધકો છે. તેથી પ્રત્યેક આત્માઓ પર વિશ્વાસ કરવો નહિ પરંતુ તે આત્માઓ દેવ પાસેથી છે કે નહિ તે પારખી જુઓ.
2 એથી તમે દેવનો આત્મા ઓળખી શકો છો. આત્મા કહે છે, “હું માનુ છું કે ઈસુ તે ખ્રિસ્ત છે જે પૃથ્વી પર આવ્યો અને માનવ બન્યો.” તે આત્મા દેવ તરફથી છે.
3 બીજા આત્માએ ઈસુ વિષે આ કહેવાની ના પાડી. તે આત્મા દેવ તરફથી નથી. આ આત્મા ખ્રિસ્તિવિરોધીનો છે. તમે સાભળ્યું છે કે ખ્રિસ્તવિરોધી આવે છે. અને હવે તે ખ્રિસ્તવિરોધી જગતમાં છે.
4 મારાં વ્હાલાં બાળકો, તમે દેવના છો. તેથી તમે જૂઠા પ્રબોધકો ને હરાવ્યા છે. શા માટે? કારણ કે (દેવ) જે તમારામાં છે તે (શેતાન) જે જગતના લોકોમા છે તેના કરતાં વધારે મોટો છે.
5 અને પેલા લોકો (જૂઠા પ્રબોધકો) જગતના છે. તેથી જે વાતો તેઓ કહે છે તે જગતની છે. અને જગત તેઓ જે કહે છે તે ધ્યાનથી સાંભળે છે.
6 પણ આપણે દેવના છીએ. તેથી જે લોકો દેવને જાણે છે તેઓ આપણને ધ્યાનથી સાંભળે છે. પરંતુ જે લોકો દેવના નથી તેઓ આપણને સાંભળતા નથી. આ રીતે આપણે સત્યના આત્માઓને ભ્રાંતિના આત્માઓથી જૂદા તારવી શકીએ છીએ.
1 Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.
2 Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God:
3 And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.
4 Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.
5 They are of the world: therefore speak they of the world, and the world heareth them.
6 We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.

Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.
2 એથી તમે દેવનો આત્મા ઓળખી શકો છો. આત્મા કહે છે, “હું માનુ છું કે ઈસુ તે ખ્રિસ્ત છે જે પૃથ્વી પર આવ્યો અને માનવ બન્યો.” તે આત્મા દેવ તરફથી છે.
Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God:
3 બીજા આત્માએ ઈસુ વિષે આ કહેવાની ના પાડી. તે આત્મા દેવ તરફથી નથી. આ આત્મા ખ્રિસ્તિવિરોધીનો છે. તમે સાભળ્યું છે કે ખ્રિસ્તવિરોધી આવે છે. અને હવે તે ખ્રિસ્તવિરોધી જગતમાં છે.
And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.
4 મારાં વ્હાલાં બાળકો, તમે દેવના છો. તેથી તમે જૂઠા પ્રબોધકો ને હરાવ્યા છે. શા માટે? કારણ કે (દેવ) જે તમારામાં છે તે (શેતાન) જે જગતના લોકોમા છે તેના કરતાં વધારે મોટો છે.
Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.
5 અને પેલા લોકો (જૂઠા પ્રબોધકો) જગતના છે. તેથી જે વાતો તેઓ કહે છે તે જગતની છે. અને જગત તેઓ જે કહે છે તે ધ્યાનથી સાંભળે છે.
They are of the world: therefore speak they of the world, and the world heareth them.
6 પણ આપણે દેવના છીએ. તેથી જે લોકો દેવને જાણે છે તેઓ આપણને ધ્યાનથી સાંભળે છે. પરંતુ જે લોકો દેવના નથી તેઓ આપણને સાંભળતા નથી. આ રીતે આપણે સત્યના આત્માઓને ભ્રાંતિના આત્માઓથી જૂદા તારવી શકીએ છીએ.
We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.
