Ecclesiastes 10 - BBE (Gujarati)

1 Dead flies make the oil of the perfumer give out an evil smell; more valued is a little wisdom than the great glory of the foolish.જેમ મરેલી માખીઓ મઘમઘતા અત્તરને દૂષિત કરી દે છે; તેવી જ રીતે થોડી મૂર્ખાઇ બુદ્ધિ અને સન્માનને નબળું પાડી દે છે.

2 The heart of the wise man goes in the right direction; but the heart of a foolish man in the wrong.બુદ્ધિમાન માણસનું હૃદય તેને સાચી દિશા બાજુએ દોરે છે; પણ મૂર્ખનું એ જ હૃદય તેને ખોટી અને મૂર્ખ બાજુ પર દોરે છે.

3 And when the foolish man is walking in the way, he has no sense and lets everyone see that he is foolish.વળી મૂર્ખ પોતાને રસ્તે જાય છે ત્યારે તેની બુદ્ધિ ખૂટી જાય છે; અને તે દરેક ને કહે છે કે હું મૂર્ખ છું.

4 If the wrath of the ruler is against you, keep in your place; in him who keeps quiet even great sins may be overlooked.જ્યારે તારો શાશક તારા પર ગુસ્સે થાય તો તું ત્યાંથી નાસી ન જતો. કારણ કે તું જે સાંત્વન લાવે છે તેનાથી મોટા પાપો વડે થયેલો ગુસ્સો પણ ઠંડો પડી જાય છે.

5 There is an evil which I have seen under the sun, like an error which comes by chance from a ruler:મેં આ દુનિયામાં એક અનર્થ જોયો છે, અને તે છે કે શકિતશાળી શાશક દ્વારા થયેલી ભૂલ;

6 The foolish are placed in high positions, but men of wealth are kept low.મૂર્ખાને મોટી સત્તાઓ મળે છે જ્યારે ધનવાનોને નીચા સ્થળે લાવવામાં આવે છે!

7 I have seen servants on horses, and rulers walking on the earth as servants.મેં ગુલામોને ઘોડે સવાર થયેલા અને રાજકર્તાઓને ગુલામોની જેમ પગે ચાલતા જોયા છે.

8 He who makes a hole for others will himself go into it, and for him who makes a hole through a wall the bite of a snake will be a punishment.જે ખાડો ખોદે છે તે જ તેમાં પડે છે! અને જે વાડમાં છીંડુ પાડે છે તેને સાપ કરડે છે.

9 He who gets out stones from the earth will be damaged by them, and in the cutting of wood there is danger.જે પથ્થરની શિલા તેને જે ખસેડે છે તેને જ ઇજા પહોચાડે અને કઠિયારાને લાકડું જ ભયમાં મૂકી દે.

10 If the iron has no edge, and he does not make it sharp, then he has to put out more strength; but wisdom makes things go well.બુઠ્ઠી કુહાડી વાપરવામાં ધારદાર કરતા વધારે શકિતની જરૂર પડે છે; તે ડહાપણ તમને તમારું કામ સરળ કરવામાં મદદ કરે છે.

11 If a snake gives a bite before the word of power is said, then there is no longer any use in the word of power.સાપ જો તેને મંત્રથી વશ કર્યા પહેલા જ કરડી જાય તો મદારી નકામો છે.

12 The words of a wise man's mouth are sweet to all, but the lips of a foolish man are his destruction.ડહાપણભર્યા શબ્દો મનને આનંદ આપે છે, પણ મૂર્ખના બોલ તેનો પોતાનો જ નાશ નોતરે છે.

13 The first words of his mouth are foolish, and the end of his talk is evil crime.તેનાં મૂખના શબ્દોનો આરંભ મૂર્ખાઇ છે; અને તેના બોલવાનું પરિણામ નુકસાનકારક ગાંડપણ છે.

14 The foolish are full of words; man has no knowledge of what will be; and who is able to say what will be after him?મૂર્ખ માણસ વધારે બોલે છે, પણ ભવિષ્ય વિષે કોઇ જાણતું નથી. પણ કોઇ કહી શકે તેમ નથી કે કાલે શું થવાનું છે?

15 The work of the foolish will be a weariness to him, because he has no knowledge of the way to the town.કામ મૂર્ખને થકવી નાખે છે જે નગરમાં જવાનો પોતાનો રસ્તો પણ શોધી શકતો નથી.

16 Unhappy is the land whose king is a boy, and whose rulers are feasting in the morning.જે દેશનો રાજા બાળક જેવો નાદાન હોય; અને જેના સરદારો સવારમાં ઉજાણીઓ માણે છે તે દેશનો ઉદ્ધાર અશક્ય છે!

17 Happy is the land whose ruler is of noble birth, and whose chiefs take food at the right time, for strength and not for feasting.એ દેશને આશીર્વાદ છે જેનો રાજા ઉમદા ગુણ લક્ષણ વાળો છે અને જેના નેતાઓ વધુ પડતું ખાતા નથી કે પીધેલ હોતા નથી.

18 When no work is done the roof goes in, and when the hands do nothing water comes into the house.આળસથી છાપરું નમી પડે છે; અને આળસુ હાથ ઘરમાં છિદ્ર વાટે ચૂવા દે છે.

19 A feast is for laughing, and wine makes glad the heart; but by the one and the other money is wasted.ઉજાણી મોજમજાને માટે ગોઠવવામાં આવે છે, અને દ્રાક્ષારસ જીવનને ખુશી આપે છે. પૈસાથી બધું જ મળે છે.

20 Say not a curse against the king, even in your thoughts; and even secretly say not a curse against the man of wealth; because a bird of the air will take the voice, and that which has wings will give news of it.રાજાને કે ધનવાનને તારા મનમાં પણ શાપ ન આપીશ; કારણ કે, વાયુચર પક્ષી તે સાંભળીને વાત લઇ જાય છે.
