“હે યહોવા, તમે તો વિશ્વાસી છો, પણ આજે શરમાવાનું તો અમારે છે-યહૂદાના માણસોને, યરૂશાલેમના બાકીના લોકોને અને દૂરના તથા નજીકના સર્વ ઇસ્રાએલીઓને અમે તમારા પ્રત્યે વિશ્વાસઘાતી નીવડ્યા તેથી અનેક દેશોમાં તમે અમને વિખેરી નાખ્યાં.

unto thee, but unto us confusion	בֹּ֥שֶׁת	bōšet	boh-SHET
of faces,	הַפָּנִ֖ים	pānîm	pa-NEEM
day;	כַּיּ֣וֹם	yôm	yome
as at this	הַזֶּ֑ה	ze	zeh
to the men	לְאִ֤ישׁ	ʾîš	eesh
of Judah,	יְהוּדָה֙	yĕhûdâ	yeh-hoo-DA
and to the inhabitants	וּלְיֹשְׁבֵ֣י	yāšab	ya-SHAHV
of Jerusalem,	יְרֽוּשָׁלִַ֔ם	yĕrûšālaim	yeh-roo-sha-la-EEM
and unto all	וּֽלְכָל	kōl	kole
Israel,	יִשְׂרָאֵ֞ל	yiśrāʾēl	yees-ra-ALE
near,	הַקְּרֹבִ֣ים	qārôb	ka-ROVE
and far off,	וְהָרְחֹקִ֗ים	rāḥôq	ra-HOKE
through all	בְּכָל	kōl	kole
the countries	הָֽאֲרָצוֹת֙	ʾereṣ	eh-RETS
whither	אֲשֶׁ֣ר	ʾăšer	uh-SHER
thou hast driven	הִדַּחְתָּ֣ם	nādaḥ	na-DAHK
	שָׁ֔ם	šām	shahm
them, because of their trespass	בְּמַעֲלָ֖ם	maʿal	ma-AL
that	אֲשֶׁ֥ר	ʾăšer	uh-SHER
they have trespassed against thee.	מָֽעֲלוּ	māʿal	ma-AL
	בָֽךְ׃
