Amos 8
1 પછી સૈન્યોનો દેવ યહોવાએ મને દર્શનમાં પાકેલાં ફળોથી ભરેલો એક ટોપલી બતાવી.
2 તેમણે મને પૂછયું, “આમોસ, તું શું જુએ છે?”મેં કહ્યું, “પાકા ફળોની ટોપલી.”પછી યહોવાએ કહ્યું, “આ ફળો મારા ઇસ્રાએલી લોકોને રજૂ કરે છે. તેઓને શિક્ષા કરવાનો સમય પાકી ચૂક્યો છે, હું ફરી કદી તેમને માફ નહિ કરું.
3 મંદિરમાં ગીતો ગાવાને બદલે તેઓ રડશે અને આંસુ સારશે. સર્વત્ર શબો પડ્યાં હશે તેથી શાંત રહો! હું યહોવા બોલ્યો છું,”
1 Thus hath the Lord God shewed unto me: and behold a basket of summer fruit.
2 And he said, Amos, what seest thou? And I said, A basket of summer fruit. Then said the Lord unto me, The end is come upon my people of Israel; I will not again pass by them any more.
3 And the songs of the temple shall be howlings in that day, saith the Lord God: there shall be many dead bodies in every place; they shall cast them forth with silence.
