2 Timothy 1:8
તેથી આપણા પ્રભુ ઈસુ વિષે લોકોને કહેતાં તું શરમ કે સંકોચ ન રાખીશ. અને મારા માટે પણ તારે શરમિંદા બનવાની જરૂર નથી કેમ કે હું પ્રભુને ખાતર જ કેદમાં છું. પરંતુ એ સુવાર્તાને લીધે તું પણ મારી સાથે દુ:ખ સહન કર એ સહન કરવા દેવ આપણને સાર્મથ્ય આપે જ છે.
