યહોવાએ તેને રકતપિત્તનો રોગી બનાવ્યો, અને મરતાં સુધી તે રોગથી પીડાતો રહ્યો. તેથી તેને બધા કાર્યોથી મુકત કરવામાં આવ્યો અને તે પોતાના ઘરમાં એકલો રહેતો હતો, તેનો પુત્ર યોથામે મહેલનો કબજો લઇને દેશના લોકો પર શાસન કર્યું.
