હિન્નોમની ખીણમાં મનાશ્શાએ પોતાનાં જ બાળકોનો હોમયજ્ઞ કર્યો. તેણે મેલીવિદ્યા જાણનારા ભૂવાઓની સલાહ લીધી. તેણે સર્વ પ્રકારની ભૂંડાઇને ઉત્તેજન આપ્યું. આમ યહોવાને તેણે ઘણા ગુસ્સે કર્યા, અને તેમનો ગુસ્સો વહોરી લીધો.
