2 Chronicles 12 - ASV (Gujarati)

1 And it came to pass, when the kingdom of Rehoboam was established, and he was strong, that he forsook the law of Jehovah, and all Israel with him.જ્યારે રહાબઆમનું રાજ્ય સ્થિર થયું અને તે બળવાન બન્યો, ત્યારે તેણે અને યહૂદાના કુળસમૂહે યહોવાની સંહિતાનો માર્ગ છોડી દીધો.

2 And it came to pass in the fifth year of king Rehoboam, that Shishak king of Egypt came up against Jerusalem, because they had trespassed against Jehovah,તેઓએ યહોવાની આજ્ઞાઓનું ઉલ્લંધન કર્યુ તેથી રહાબઆમ રાજાના શાસનના પાંચમે વષેર્ મિસરના રાજા શીશાકે યરૂશાલેમ ઉપર 1,200 રથો તથા 60,000 સવારો લઇને હુમલો કર્યોં.

3 with twelve hundred chariots, and threescore thousand horsemen. And the people were without number that came with him out of Egypt: the Lubim, the Sukkiim, and the Ethiopians.મિસરમાંથી તેની સાથે અસંખ્ય લૂબીઓ, સુક્કીઇઓ તથા કૂશીઓ આવ્યા હતા.

4 And he took the fortified cities which pertained to Judah, and came unto Jerusalem.યહૂદિયાના તાબાનાં કિલ્લાવાળાં નગરો સર કરતો કરતો તે યરૂશાલેમ સુધી આવી પહોંચ્યો.

5 Now Shemaiah the prophet came to Rehoboam, and to the princes of Judah, that were gathered together to Jerusalem because of Shishak, and said unto them, Thus saith Jehovah, Ye have forsaken me, therefore have I also left you in the hand of Shishak.રહાબઆમ તથા યહૂદિયાના સરદારો, જેઓ પ્રબોધક શીશાકને લીધે યરૂશાલેમમાં એકઠા થયા હતા, તેઓની પાસે શમાયા પ્રબોધકે આવીને તેઓને કહ્યું કે, “તમે મને અને મારા કાનૂનોને તજી દીધા છે, માટે મેં પણ તમને શીશાકના હાથમાં સોંપી દીધાં છે.” એમ યહોવા કહે છે.

6 Then the princes of Israel and the king humbled themselves; and they said, Jehovah is righteous.ઇસ્રાએલના આગેવાનો અને રાજાઓ પોતે નમ્ર થઇને બોલ્યા, “યહોવાની વાત ન્યાયી છે.”

7 And when Jehovah saw that they humbled themselves, the word of Jehovah came to Shemaiah, saying, They have humbled themselves: I will not destroy them; but I will grant them some deliverance, and my wrath shall not be poured out upon Jerusalem by the hand of Shishak.યહોવાએ જ્યારે જોયું કે એ લોકો શરણે થઇ ગયા છે, ત્યારે તેણે ફરી શમાયાને પોતાની વાણી સંભળાવી કે, “એ લોકો શરણે થઇ ગયા છે એટલે હું એમનો નાશ નહિ કરું; હું એમને થોડીવારમાં રાહત આપીશ, હું મારો રોષ શીશાક મારફતે યરૂશાલેમ પર નહિ ઉતારું.

8 Nevertheless they shall be his servants, that they may know my service, and the service of the kingdoms of the countries.પરંતુ એ લોકોએ શીશાકના ગુલામ થવું પડશે, અને ત્યારે તેમને સમજાશે કે મારી સેવા કરવામાં અને વિદેશી રાજાઓની સેવા કરવામાં કેટલો ફેર છે.”

9 So Shishak king of Egypt came up against Jerusalem, and took away the treasures of the house of Jehovah, and the treasures of the king's house: he took all away: he took away also the shields of gold which Solomon had made.મિસરના રાજા શીશાકે યરૂશાલેમ ઉપર ચઢાઇ કરી અને તે યહોવાના મંદિરમાં તથા રાજમહેલના બધા ભંડાર લૂંટી ગયો. તે સુલેમાને બનાવડાવેલી સોનાની ઢાલો સહિત બધું જ લઇ ગયો.

10 And king Rehoboam made in their stead shields of brass, and committed them to the hands of the captains of the guard, that kept the door of the king's house.રહાબઆમ રાજાએ તેમને ઠેકાણે પિત્તળની ઢાલો બનાવડાવીને રાજાના મહેલમાં દ્વારપાળોના તથા અમલદારોના હાથમાં સોંપી.

11 And it was so, that, as oft as the king entered into the house of Jehovah, the guard came and bare them, and brought them back into the guard-chamber.જ્યારે જ્યારે રાજા યહોવાના મંદિરમાં જતો ત્યારે ત્યારે રક્ષકો તે ઢાલ લઇને આવતા અને પછીથી શસ્રાગારમાં મૂકી દેતા.

12 And when he humbled himself, the wrath of Jehovah turned from him, so as not to destroy him altogether: and moreover in Judah there were good things `found'.રહાબઆમ યહોવાને શરણે થઇ ગયો, વળી યહૂદામાં ધણાં સારા લોકો હતા, તેથી યહોવાએ તેનો સંપૂર્ણ નાશ ન કર્યો.

13 So king Rehoboam strengthened himself in Jerusalem, and reigned: for Rehoboam was forty and one years old when he began to reign, and he reigned seventeen years in Jerusalem, the city which Jehovah had chosen out of all the tribes of Israel, to put his name there: and his mother's name was Naamah the Ammonitess.આમ, રહાબઆમ રાજાએ યરૂશાલેમમાં બળવાન થઇને રાજ્ય કર્યુ. તે ગાદીએ આવ્યો અને ત્યારે તેની ઉંમર 41 વર્ષની હતી. તેણે યહોવાએ ઇસ્રાએલના બધા કુળસમૂહોના પ્રદેશોમાંથી પોતાના નામની સ્થાપના માટે પસંદ કરેલા નગર યરૂશાલેમમાં 17 વર્ષ સુધી રાજ્ય કર્યુ. રહાબઆમની માતા આમ્મોનની હતી અને તેનું નામ નાઅમાહ હતું.

14 And he did that which was evil, because he set not his heart to seek Jehovah.યહોવાની ભકિત સાચા હૃદયથી ન કરીને, રહાબઆમે ખોટું આચરણ કર્યુ.

15 Now the acts of Rehoboam, first and last, are they not written in the histories of Shemaiah the prophet and of Iddo the seer, after the manner of genealogies? And there were wars between Rehoboam and Jeroboam continually.રહાબઆમનાં અમલના બધા જ કૃત્યો પહેલેથી તે છેલ્લે સુધી, શમાયા પ્રબોધકની તથા ઇદૃો દ્રષ્ટાની તવારીખમાં વંશાવળીના અનુક્રમે નોંધેલા છે. રહાબઆમ અને યરોબઆમ વચ્ચે સતત યુદ્ધ ચાલ્યા કર્યું.

16 And Rehoboam slept with his fathers, and was buried in the city of David: and Abijah his son reigned in his stead.રહાબઆમ પિતૃલોકને પામ્યો, અને તેને દાઉદનગરમાં દફનાવવામાં આવ્યો; અને તેની જગ્યાએ તેનો પુત્ર અબિયા રાજા થયો.
