1 Peter 4 - ASV (Gujarati)

1 Forasmuch then as Christ suffered in the flesh, arm ye yourselves also with the same mind; for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin;જ્યારે ખ્રિસ્ત તેના શરીરમાં હતો ત્યારે તેણે વેદનાઓ સહન કરી તેથી જે રીતે ખ્રિસ્ત વિચારતો હતો તેવા વિચારોમાં તમારે સુદ્દઢ થવું જોઈએ. જે વ્યક્તિએ શરીરમાં દુ:ખો સહ્યાં છે તે પાપથી મુક્ત થયો છે.

2 that ye no longer should live the rest of your time in flesh to the lusts of men, but to the will of God.તમારી જાતને સુદ્દઢ બનાવો કે જેથી આ પૃથ્વી પર દેવ જેવું ઈચ્છે છે તેવું બાકીનું જીવન તમે જીવો અને નહિ કે લોકો ઈચ્છે છે તેવાં દુષ્ટ કાર્યો કરો.

3 For the time past may suffice to have wrought the desire of the Gentiles, and to have walked in lasciviousness, lusts, winebibbings, revellings, carousings, and abominable idolatries:ભૂતકાળમાં અવિશ્વાસીઓ જે પસંદ કરે છે તેવા કાર્યો કરીને તમે તમારો ઘણો જ સમય વેડફી નાખ્યો. તમે વ્યભિચાર અને તમારી ઈચ્છા મુજબનાં દુષ્ટ કાર્યો કર્યા હતાં. તમે મદ્યપાન કરીને છકી ગયા હતા અને મોજશોખમાં અને મૂર્તિઓની પૂજા કરીને ખોટું કામ કર્યું હતું.

4 wherein they think strange that ye run not with `them' into the same excess of riot, speaking evil of `of':તે અવિશ્વાસીઓને આશ્વર્ય થાય છે કે તેઓ કરે છે તેવું જંગલી અને નિરર્થક કૃત્ય તમે કેમ નથી કરતા! અને તેથી તેઓ તમારી નિંદા કરે છે.

5 who shall give account to him that is ready to judge the living and the dead.પરંતુ તે લોકોએ જે કર્યું છે તેનુ તેઓને સ્પષ્ટીકરણ કરવું પડશે. તેઓએ આ સ્પષ્ટીકરણ તે એક જીવતાંઓનો તથા મૂએલાઓનો ન્યાય કરવાને તૈયાર છે તેની આગળ કરવું પડશે.

6 For unto this end was the gospel preached even to the dead, that they might be judged indeed according to men in the flesh, but live according to God in the spirit.જેઓ હાલ મૂએલાં છે તેઓને સુવાર્તા પ્રગટ કરવામાં આવી હતી, કારણ કે બધાની જેમ તે લોકોનો પણ ન્યાય કરવામાં આવશે. તેઓ જ્યારે જીવંત હતા ત્યારે તેઓએ જે બાબતો કરી હતી તેનો ન્યાય તોળવાનો હતો. પરંતુ તેઓને સુવાર્તા પ્રગટ કરવામાં આવી કે જેથી તેઓ દેવના જેવા આત્મામાં જીવે.

7 But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore of sound mind, and be sober unto prayer:એ સમય નજીક છે કે જ્યારે બધીજ વસ્તુઓનો અંત થશે. તેથી તમારા મન શુદ્ધ રાખો, અને તમારી જાત ઉપર નિયંત્રણ રાખો. તમને પ્રાર્થના કરવામાં આ મદદરૂપ બનશે.

8 above all things being fervent in your love among yourselves; for love covereth a multitude of sins:વધુ મહત્વનું એ છે કે, એક બીજા પર આગ્રહથી પ્રીતિ કરો. પ્રીતિ બધા પાપોને ઢાંકે છે.

9 using hospitality one to another without murmuring:કોઇ પણ જાતની ફરીયાદ વગર એકબીજાને પરોણા રાખો.

10 according as each hath received a gift, ministering it among yourselves, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God;તમારામાનાં દરેકને દેવ તરફથી આત્મિક કૃપાદાન પ્રાપ્ત થયું છે. દેવે તેની કૃપા વિવિધ રીતે તમને દર્શાવી છે. અને તમે એવા સેવક છો કે જે દેવના કૃપાદાનના ઉપયોગ માટે જવાબદાર છો. તેથી સારા સેવકો બનો. અને એકબીજાની સેવા કરવા કૃપાદાનનો ઉપયોગ કરો.

11 if any man speaketh, `speaking' as it were oracles of God; is any man ministereth, `ministering' as of the strength which God supplieth: that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, whose is the glory and the dominion for ever and ever. Amen.જો કોઈ વ્યક્તિ બોધ કરે તો તેણે દેવના વચન પ્રમાણે બોધ કરવો જોઈએ. અને જે સેવા કરે છે તેણે દેવ થકી પ્રાપ્ત થયેલ સાર્મથ્ય વડે સેવા કરવી જોઈએ. તમારે એવાં જ કાર્યો કરવા જોઈએ કે જેથી બધી બાબતોમાં ઈસુ ખ્રિસ્ત દ્ધારા દેવ મહિમાવાન થાય તેને સદાસર્વકાળ મહિમા તથા સત્તા છે. આમીન.

12 Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial among you, which cometh upon you to prove you, as though a strange thing happened unto you:મારા મિત્રો, જે વેદનાઓ અત્યારે તમે સહી રહ્યા છો તેનાથી આશ્વર્ય ન પામશો. તે તો તમારા વિશ્વાસની કસોટી છે. એવું ના વિચારશો કે તમારા પ્રત્યે કશુંક નવું થઈ રહ્યું છે.

13 but insomuch as ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings, rejoice; that at the revelation of his glory also ye may rejoice with exceeding joy.પરંતુ તમે ખ્રિસ્તની યાતનાના સહભાગી છો તે માટે તમારે આનંદ અનુભવવો જોઈએ. જ્યારે ખ્રિસ્ત તેનો મહિમા પ્રગટ કરશે ત્યારે તમે બહુ ઉલ્લાસથી ખૂબજ આનંદિત બનશો.

14 If ye are reproached for the name of Christ, blessed `are ye'; because the `Spirit' of glory and the Spirit of God resteth upon you.જ્યારે ખ્રિસ્તને અનુસરવાને કારણે લોકો તમારા વિષે ખરાબ બોલે છે, તો તમને ધન્ય છે, કારણ કે મહિમાનો આત્મા તમારી સાથે છે. તે આત્મા દેવનો છે.

15 For let none of you suffer as a murderer, or a thief, or an evil-doer, or as a meddler in other men's matters:ખૂની, દુષ્કર્મી, ચોર અથવા બીજા લોકોના કામમાં દખલ કરનારના જેવા ન થશો, આમ કરનાર વ્યક્તિ દુ:ખી થશે પરંતુ તમારામાંથી કોઇ દુ:ખી નહિ થાય.

16 but if `a man suffer' as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God in this name.પરંતુ ખ્રિસ્તી હોવાને લીધે તમે જો સહન કરો, તો તેનાથી શરમાશો નહિ. પરંતુ તે નામ (ખ્રિસ્તી) માટે તમારે દેવની સ્તુતિ કરવી જોઈએ.

17 For the time `is come' for judgment to begin at the house of God: and if `it begin' first at us, what `shall be' the end of them that obey not the gospel of God?કેમ કે ન્યાય માટેનો સમય આવી ગયો છે. તે ન્યાયની શરુંઆત દેવના કુટુંબ (મંડળી) થી થશે. ન્યાયની શરૂઆત આપણાથી થાય તો જેઓ દેવની સુવાર્તાના આજ્ઞાંકિત નથી તેઓનુ શું થશે?

18 And if the righteous is scarcely saved, where shall the ungodly and sinner appear?“જો સારા માણસનો ઉદ્ધાર મુશ્કેલીથી થાય છે તો પછી જે માણસ દેવની વિરૂદ્ધ છે અને જે પાપી છે તેનું શું થશે?” નીતિવચનો 11:31

19 Wherefore let them also that suffer according to the will of God commit their souls in well-doing unto a faithful Creator.માટે જે લોકો દેવની ઈચ્છા પ્રમાણે દુ:ખો સહન કરે છે તેઓ સાંરું કરીને પોતાના આત્માઓને વિશ્વાસ ઉત્પન્ન કરનારને સુપ્રત કરે. દેવ એક છે જેણે તેઓને ઉત્પન્ન કર્યા છે, અને તેઓ તેનામાં વિશ્વાસ કરી શકે છે. તેથી તેઓએ સારા કામો કરવાનું ચાલું રાખવું જોઈએ.
