யாக்கோபு யோசேப்பை நோக்கி: சர்வவல்லமையுள்ள தேவன் கானான் தேசத்திலுள்ள லுூஸ் என்னும் இடத்தில் எனக்குத் தரிசனமாகி, என்னை ஆசீர்வதித்து:

அந்தத் தோட்டக்காரர்கள் திராட்சைத்தோட்டத்தின் கனிகளில் தன் பங்கைக் கொடுத்தனுப்பும்படி, பருவகாலத்திலே அவர்களிடத்தில் ஒரு வேலைக்காரனை அனுப்பினான். அந்தத் தோட்டக்காரர்கள் அவனை அடித்து, ஒன்றும் கொடுக்காமல் அனுப்பிவிட்டார்கள்.

திராட்சைப் பழங்களைப் பறிக்கும் காலம் நெருங்கியது. அம்மனிதன் உழவர்களிடம் அவனது வேலைக்காரனைத் தனக்குரிய பாகமான திராட்சை பழங்களைப் பெற்றுவருமாறு அனுப்பினான். ஆனால் உழவர்கள் அந்த வேலைக்காரனை அடித்து ஒன்றுமே தராமல் அனுப்பிவிட்டார்கள்.
