ஒரு மேய்ப்பன் சிதறுண்ட தன் ஆடுகளின் நடுவே இருக்கிற நாளில் தன் மந்தையைத் தேடிக்கொண்டிருக்கிறதுபோல, நான் என் ஆடுகளைத் தேடி, மப்பும் மந்தாரமுமான நாளிலே அவைகள் சிதறுண்டுபோன எல்லா இடங்களிலுமிருந்து அவைகளைத் தப்பி வரப்பண்ணி,

மேய்ப்பன் தன் ஆடுகளோடு இருக்கும்போது ஆடுகள் வழிதவறிப் போனால் அவன் அவற்றைத் தேடி அலைவான். அதைப்போன்று நானும் என் ஆடுகளைத் தேடுவேன். நான் என் ஆடுகளைக் காப்பாற்றுவேன். அந்த இருளான, மங்கலான நாட்களில் அவர்கள் சிதறிப்போன எல்லா இடங்களிலிருந்தும் அவர்களை நான் திரும்பக் கொண்டுவருவேன்.

As a shepherd seeketh out his flock in the day that he is among his sheep that are scattered; so will I seek out my sheep, and will deliver them out of all places where they have been scattered in the cloudy and dark day.

As a shepherd רֹעֶ֨ה rāʿâ ra-AH
his flock עֶדְר֜וֹ ʿēder ay-DER
in the day בְּיוֹם yôm yome
that he is הֱיוֹת֤וֹ hāyâ ha-YA
among בְתוֹךְ tāwek ta-VEK
his sheep צֹאנוֹ֙ ṣōn tsone
scattered; נִפְרָשׁ֔וֹת pāroš pa-ROHSH
so כֵּ֖ן kēn kane
will I seek out אֲבַקֵּ֣ר bāqar ba-KAHR
אֶת ʾēt ate
my sheep, צֹאנִ֑י ṣōn tsone
and will deliver וְהִצַּלְתִּ֣י nāṣal na-TSAHL

them out of all מִכָּל kōl kole
places הַמְּקוֹמֹת֙ māqôm ma-KOME

they have been scattered נָפֹ֣צוּ pûṣ poots
