அவர்களுடைய சத்துருக்களும் அவர்கள் பிராணனை வாங்கத் தேடுகிறவர்களும், அவர்களை இறுகப்பிடிக்கப்போகிற முற்றிக்கையிலும் இடுக்கத்திலும், நான் அவர்களைத் தங்கள் குமாரரின் மாம்சத்தையும் தங்கள் குமாரத்திகளின் மாம்சத்தையும் தின்னப்பண்ணுவேன்; அவனவன் தனக்கு அடுத்தவனுடைய மாம்சத்தைத் தின்பான் என்று கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார் என்று நீ சொல்லி,

பகைவர்கள் நகரத்தைச்சுற்றி தம் படைகளை அழைத்து வருவார்கள். அப்படை ஜனங்கள் வெளியே சென்று உணவு பெறுவதை அனுமதிக்காது. எனவே, நகரத்தில் உள்ள ஜனங்கள் பட்டினியாக இருப்பார்கள். அவர்கள் தம் சொந்த மகன்கள் மற்றும் மகள்களின் உடலை உண்ணும் அளவிற்குப் பசியை அடைவார்கள். அவர்கள் ஒருவரை ஒருவர் உண்ணத் தொடங்குவார்கள்.’

and the flesh בְּשַׂ֣ר bāśār ba-SAHR
of their daughters, בְּנֹתֵיהֶ֔ם bat baht
every one וְאִ֥ישׁ ʾîš eesh
the flesh בְּשַׂר bāśār ba-SAHR
of his friend רֵעֵ֖הוּ rēaʿ RAY-ah
and they shall eat יֹאכֵ֑לוּ ʾākal ah-HAHL
in the siege בְּמָצוֹר֙ māṣôr ma-TSORE
and straitness, וּבְמָצ֔וֹק māṣôq ma-TSOKE
wherewith אֲשֶׁ֨ר ʾăšer uh-SHER
shall straiten them. יָצִ֧יקוּ ṣûq tsook
לָהֶ֛ם
their enemies, אֹיְבֵיהֶ֖ם ʾōyēb oh-YAVE
and they that seek וּמְבַקְשֵׁ֥י bāqaš ba-KAHSH
their lives, נַפְשָֽׁם׃ nepeš neh-FESH
