புலம்புகிற இந்தச் சத்தத்தை ஏலி கேட்டபோது: இந்த அமளியின் இரைச்சல் என்ன என்று கேட்டான்; அப்பொழுது அந்த மனுஷன் தீவிரித்து வந்து, ஏலிக்கு அறிவித்தான்.

ஏலி 98 வயதுடையவன். அவன் குருடன். என்ன நடக்கிறது என்பதை அவனால் காணமுடியவில்லை. ஆனால் அவனால் ஜனங்களின் உரத்த அழுகை சத்தத்தைக் கேட்க முடிந்தது. ஏலி, “ஏன் இவர்கள் இவ்வாறு சத்தமிடுகிறார்கள்?” என்று கேட்டான். பென்யமீன் குடும்பத்தைச் சேர்ந்தவன் ஏலியிடம் ஓடிவந்து நடந்ததைக் கூறினான்.

tumult?	הֶֽהָמ֖וֹן	hāmôn	ha-MONE
of this	הַזֶּ֑ה	ze	zeh
And the man	וְהָאִ֣ישׁ	ʾîš	eesh
in hastily,	מִהַ֔ר	māhar	ma-HAHR
came	וַיָּבֹ֖א	bôʾ	boh
and told	וַיַּגֵּ֥ד	nāgad	na-ɡAHD
Eli.	לְעֵלִֽי׃	ʿēlî	ay-LEE
