1 இதற்குப்பின்பு, தாவீது பெலிஸ்தரை முறிய அடித்து, அவர்களைக் கீழ்ப்படுத்தி, காத்பட்டணத்தையும் அதின் கிராமங்களையும் பெலிஸ்தரின் கையிலிருந்து பிடித்துக்கொண்டான். Now after this it came to pass, that David smote the Philistines, and subdued them, and took Gath and her towns out of the hand of the Philistines.

4 அவனுக்கு இருந்த ஆயிரம் இரதங்களையும் ஆயிரம் குதிரைவீரரையும் பதினாயிரம் காலாட்களையும் பிடித்து, இரதங்களில் நூறு இரதங்களையும் வைத்துக்கொண்டு, மற்றவைகளையெல்லாம் துண்டாடிப்போட்டான். And David took from him a thousand chariots, and seven thousand horsemen, and twenty thousand footmen: David also houghed all the chariot horses, but reserved of them an hundred chariots.

5 சோபாவின் ராஜாவாகிய ஆதாரேசருக்கு உதவிசெய்ய தமஸ்குபட்டணத்தாராகிய சீரியர் வந்தார்கள்; தாவீது சீரியரில் இருபத்தீராயிரம்பேரை வெட்டிப்போட்டு, And when the Syrians of Damascus came to help Hadarezer king of Zobah, David slew of the Syrians two and twenty thousand men.

6 தமஸ்குவுக்கடுத்த சீரியாவிலே தாணையங்களை வைத்தான்; சீரியர் தாவீதைச் சேவித்து அவனுக்குக் காணிக்கைகளைச் செலுத்தினார்கள்; தாவீது போன இடத்திலெல்லாம் கர்த்தர் அவனைக் காப்பாற்றினார். Then David put garrisons in Syriadamascus; and the Syrians became David's servants, and brought gifts. Thus the LORD preserved David whithersoever he went.

7 ஆதாரேசரின் சேவகருக்கு இருந்த பொன் பரிசைகளைத் தாவீது எடுத்து, அவைகளை எருசலேமுக்குக் கொண்டுவந்தான். And David took the shields of gold that were on the servants of Hadarezer, and brought them to Jerusalem.

8 ஆதாரேசரின் பட்டணங்களாகிய திப்காத்திலும் கூனிலுமிருந்து தாவீது வெகு திரளான வெண்கலத்தையும் எடுத்துக்கொண்டுவந்தான்; அதினாலே சாலொமோன் வெண்கலக் கடல்தொட்டியையும் தூண்களையும் வெண்கலத் தட்டுமுட்டுகளையும் உண்டாக்கினான். Likewise from Tibhath, and from Chun, cities of Hadarezer, brought David very much brass, wherewith Solomon made the brazen sea, and the pillars, and the vessels of brass.

9 தாவீது சோபாவின் ராஜாவாகிய ஆதாரேசரின் இராணுவத்தையெல்லாம் முறிய அடித்த செய்தியை ஆமாத்தின் ராஜாவாகிய தோயூ கேட்டபோது, Now when Tou king of Hamath heard how David had smitten all the host of Hadarezer king of Zobah;

10 அவன் தாவீது ராஜாவின் சுகசெய்தியை விசாரிக்கவும், அவன் ஆதாரேசரோடு யுத்தம்பண்ணி, அவனை முறிய அடித்ததற்காக அவனுக்கு வினவுதல் சொல்லவும், தன் குமாரனாகிய அதோராமையும், பொன்னும் வெள்ளியும் வெண்கலமுமான சகலவிதத் தட்டுமுட்டுகளையும், அவனிடத்Τுக்கு அனுப்பினான்; ஆதாரேசர் தோயூவின்மேல் யுத்தம்பண்ணுகிறவனாயிருந்தான். He sent Hadoram his son to king David, to enquire of his welfare, and to congratulate him, because he had fought against Hadarezer, and smitten him; (for Hadarezer had war with Tou;) and with him all manner of vessels of gold and silver and brass.

11 அந்தத் தட்டுமுட்டுகளையும், தான் ஏதோமியர், மோவாபியர், அம்மோன் புத்திரர், பெலிஸ்தர், அமலேக்கியர் என்னும் சகல ஜாதிகளின் கையிலும் வாங்கின வெள்ளியையும், பொன்னையும்கூடத் தாவீதுராஜா கர்த்தருக்குப் பரிசுத்தமென்று நேர்ந்துகொண்டான். Them also king David dedicated unto the LORD, with the silver and the gold that he brought from all these nations; from Edom, and from Moab, and from the children of Ammon, and from the Philistines, and from Amalek.

12 செருயாவின் குமாரன் அபிசாயி உப்புப் பள்ளத்தாக்கிலே பதினெண்ணாயிரம் ஏதோமியரை முறிய அடித்தான். Moreover Abishai the son of Zeruiah slew of the Edomites in the valley of salt eighteen thousand.

13 ஆகையால் தாவீது ஏதோமிலே தாணையம் போட்டான்; ஏதோமியர் எல்லாரும் அவனைச் சேவிக்கிறவர்களானார்கள்; தாவீது போன இடத்திலெல்லாம் கர்த்தர் அவனைக் காப்பாற்றினார். And he put garrisons in Edom; and all the Edomites became David's servants. Thus the LORD preserved David whithersoever he went.

14 தாவீது இஸ்ரவேலையெல்லாம் ஆண்டு, தன்னுடைய ஜனத்திற்கெல்லாம் நியாயமும் நீதியும் செய்தான். So David reigned over all Israel, and executed judgment and justice among all his people.

15 செருயாவின் குமாரன் யோவாப் இராணுவத்தலைவனாயிருந்தான்; ஆகிலுூதின் குமாரனாகிய யோசபாத் மந்திரியாயிருந்தான். And Joab the son of Zeruiah was over the host; and Jehoshaphat the son of Ahilud, recorder.

16 அகிதூபின் குமாரன் சாதோக்கும், அபியத்தாரின் குமாரன் அபிமெலேக்கும் ஆசாரியராயிருந்தார்கள்; சவிஷா சம்பிரதியாயிருந்தான். And Zadok the son of Ahitub, and Abimelech the son of Abiathar, were the priests; and Shavsha was scribe;

17 யோய்தாவின் குமாரன் பெனாயா கிரேத்தியருக்கும் பிலேத்தியருக்கும் தலைவனாயிருந்தான்; தாவீதின் புத்திரர் ராஜாவினிடத்தில் பிரதானிகளாயிருந்தார்கள். And Benaiah the son of Jehoiada was over the Cherethites and the Pelethites; and the sons of David were chief about the king.

1 Itharkuppinpu, David pelistharai muriya atiththu, avarkalaik geelppaduththi, kaathpattanaththaiyum athin kiraamangalaiyum pelistharin kaiyilirunthu pitiththukkonndaan. Now after this it came to pass, that David smote the Philistines, and subdued them, and took Gath and her towns out of the hand of the Philistines.

2 Avan movaapiyaraiyum muriyatiththathinaal, movaapiyar thaaveethaich seviththu avanukkuk kaannikkaikalaich seluththinaarkal. And he smote Moab; and the Moabites became David's servants, and brought gifts.

3 Sopaavin raajaavaakiya aathaaraesar aipiraath nathiyanntaiyil than iraanuvaththai niraுththappokirapothu, David avanaiyum aamaaththin kittaே muriya atiththaan. And David smote Hadarezer king of Zobah unto Hamath, as he went to stablish his dominion by the river Euphrates.

4 Avanukku iruntha aayiram irathangalaiyum aayiram kuthiraiveeraraiyum pathinaayiram kaalaatkalaiyum pitiththu, irathangalil nooraு irathangalaiyum vaiththukkonndu, mattavaikalaiyellaam thunndaatippottan. And David took from him a thousand chariots, and seven thousand horsemen, and twenty thousand footmen: David also houghed all the chariot horses, but reserved of them an hundred chariots.

6 Thamaskuvukkaduththa seeriyaavilae thaannaiyangalai vaiththaan; seeriyar thaaveethaich seviththu avanukkuk kaannikkaikalaich seluththinaarkal; David pona idaththilellaam Karththar avanaik kaappaattinaar. Then David put garrisons in Syriadamascus; and the Syrians became David's servants, and brought gifts. Thus the LORD preserved David whithersoever he went.

7 Aathaaraesarin sevakarukku iruntha pon parisaikalaith David eduththu, avaikalai erusalaemukkuk konnduvanthaan. And David took the shields of gold that were on the servants of Hadarezer, and brought them to Jerusalem.

8 Aathaaraesarin pattanangalaakiya thipkaaththilum koonilumirunthu David veku thiralaana vennkalaththaiyum eduththukkonnduvanthaan; athinaalae saalomon vennkalak kadalthottiyaiyum thoonnkalaiyum vennkalath thattumuttukalaiyum unndaakkinaan. Likewise from Tibhath, and from Chun, cities of Hadarezer, brought David very much brass, wherewith Solomon made the brazen sea, and the pillars, and the vessels of brass.

9 David sopaavin raajaavaakiya aathaaraesarin iraanuvaththaiyellaam muriya atiththa seythiyai aamaaththin raajaavaakiya thoyoo kaettapothu, Now when Tou king of Hamath heard how David had smitten all the host of Hadarezer king of Zobah;

10 Avan David raajaavin sukaseythiyai visaarikkavum, avan aathaaraesarodu yuththampannnni, avanai muriya atiththatharkaaka avanukku vinavuthal sollavum, than kumaaranaakiya athoraamaiyum, ponnum velliyum vennkalamumaana sakalavithath thattumuttukalaiyum, avanidathΤுkku anuppinaan; aathaaraesar thoyoovinmael yuththampannnukiravanaayirunthaan. He sent Hadoram his son to king David, to enquire of his welfare, and to congratulate him, because he had fought against Hadarezer, and smitten him; (for Hadarezer had war with Tou;) and with him all manner of vessels of gold and silver and brass.

11 Anthath thattumuttukalaiyum, thaan aethomiyar, movaapiyar, ammon puththirar, pelisthar, amalaekkiyar ennum sakala jaathikalin kaiyilum vaangina velliyaiyum, ponnaiyumkoodath Davidraajaa karththarukkup Parisuththamentu naernthukonndaan. Them also king David dedicated unto the LORD, with the silver and the gold that he brought from all these nations; from Edom, and from Moab, and from the children of Ammon, and from the Philistines, and from Amalek.

12 Seruyaavin kumaaran apisaayi uppup pallaththaakkilae pathinennnnaayiram aethomiyarai muriya atiththaan. Moreover Abishai the son of Zeruiah slew of the Edomites in the valley of salt eighteen thousand.

13 Aakaiyaal David aethomilae thaannaiyam pottan; aethomiyar ellaarum avanaich sevikkiravarkalaanaarkal; David pona idaththilellaam Karththar avanaik kaappaattinaar. And he put garrisons in Edom; and all the Edomites became David's servants. Thus the LORD preserved David whithersoever he went.

14 David isravaelaiyellaam aanndu, thannutaiya janaththirkellaam niyaayamum neethiyum seythaan. So David reigned over all Israel, and executed judgment and justice among all his people.

15 Seruyaavin kumaaran yovaap iraanuvaththalaivanaayirunthaan; aakiluூthin kumaaranaakiya yosapaath manthiriyaayirunthaan. And Joab the son of Zeruiah was over the host; and Jehoshaphat the son of Ahilud, recorder.

16 Akithoopin kumaaran saathokkum, apiyaththaarin kumaaran apimelaekkum aasaariyaraayirunthaarkal; savishaa sampirathiyaayirunthaan. And Zadok the son of Ahitub, and Abimelech the son of Abiathar, were the priests; and Shavsha was scribe;

17 Yoythaavin kumaaran penaayaa kiraeththiyarukkum pilaeththiyarukkum thalaivanaayirunthaan; thaaveethin puththirar raajaavinidaththil pirathaanikalaayirunthaarkal. And Benaiah the son of Jehoiada was over the Cherethites and the Pelethites; and the sons of David were chief about the king.
