Psalm 137 - DBY (Bengali)

1 By the rivers of Babylon, there we sat down; yea, we wept when we remembered Zion.বাবিলের নদীগুলির তীরে আমরা বসেছিলাম এবং যখন সিয়োনের কথা মনে পড়েছিল, তখন আমরা কেঁদেছিলাম|

2 We hanged our harps upon the willows in the midst thereof.আমরা আমাদের বীণাগুলি নিকটবর্তী বাইশী গাছে ঝুলিয়ে রেখেছিলাম|

3 For there they that carried us away captive required of us a song; and they that made us wail [required] mirth, [saying,] Sing us [one] of the songs of Zion.বাবিলের লোকরা যারা আমাদের অধিকার করেছিল, তারা আমাদের গান গাইতে বলেছিলো| ওরা আমাদের আনন্দের গান গাইতে বলেছিলো| ওরা আমাদের সিয়োন সম্পর্কে গান গাইতে বলেছিলো|

4 How should we sing a song of Jehovah's upon a foreign soil?কিন্তু বিদেশ বিভুঁইতে আমরা প্রভুর গান গাইতে পারি না!

5 If I forget thee, Jerusalem, let my right hand forget [its skill];জেরুশালেম, কখনও যদি আমি তোমাকে ভুলে যাই, তাহলে য়েন আমি বাজনা বাজাতে ভুলে যাই|

6 If I do not remember thee, let my tongue cleave to my palate: if I prefer not Jerusalem above my chief joy.জেরুশালেম কখনও যদি আমি তোমাকে ভুলে যাই, তাহলে য়েন আবার আমি গান না গাই| আমি প্রতিজ্ঞা করছি আমি তোমাকে কখনও ভুলবো না|

7 Remember, O Jehovah, against the sons of Edom, the day of Jerusalem; who said, Lay [it] bare, Lay [it] bare, down to its foundation!আমি প্রতিজ্ঞা করছি য়ে, জেরুশালেম সর্বদাই আমার শ্রেষ্ঠতম আনন্দ হবে| হে প্রভু, জেরুশালেমের পতনের দিন ইদোমীয়রা কি করেছিল মনে রাখবেন| তারা চিত্কার করে বলেছিল, “ভেঙ্গে ফেলো, আমূল ভেঙে ফেলো!”

8 Daughter of Babylon, who art to be laid waste, happy he that rendereth unto thee that which thou hast meted out to us.বাবিল তুমি ধ্বংস হয়ে যাবে! সেই লোকই ধন্য য়ে তোমার প্রাপ্য শাস্তি তোমাকে দেয়| সেই মানুষের প্রশংসা হোক য়ে লোক, তোমাকে সেই ভাবে আঘাত করে, য়েমন তুমি আমাদের আঘাত করেছিলে|

9 Happy he that taketh and dasheth thy little ones against the rock.সেই লোক ধন্য য়ে তোমাদের শিশুদের আঁকড়ে ধরে আর তাদের পাথরে পিষে ফেলে|
