দায়ূদ তখন বললেন, “নাহশের সঙ্গে আমার বন্ধুর সম্পর্ক ছিল, এই শোকের সময় তাঁর পুত্র হানূনকে আমার সহানুভূতি দেখানো কর্তব্য|” এই বলে তিনি অম্মোনে হানূনকে সমবেদনা জানাতে বার্তাবাহক পাঠালেন|

নেহেমিয়া 4:7
সন্বল্লট, টোবিয, আরবীয, অম্মোনীয় ও অস্দোদীযরা খুব রেগে গেল কারণ ওরা শুনেছিল যে জেরুশালেমের দেওয়ালের কাজ এগিয়ে যাচ্ছে এবং গর্ত ভরাট করা হচ্ছে|

সেদিন সবাই যাতে শুনতে পায়, সে ভাবে মোশির বিধি পুস্তকটি উচ্চস্বরে পাঠ করা হয়েছিল| প্রত্যেকে জানতে পারল য়ে, পুস্তকে অম্মোনীয় ও মোয়াবীয় ব্যক্তিদের ঈশ্বরের লোকদের মণ্ডলীতে য়োগ দেবার অনুমতি ছিল না|

রাজা জিজ্ঞেস করলেন, “মর্দখয়কে এর জন্য কি সম্মান এবং পুরস্কার দেওয়া হয়েছে?”ভৃত্যরা রাজাকে জানালো, “মর্দখযের জন্য কিছুই করা হয়নি|”

উপদেশক 9:15
কিন্তু সেই শহরে এক জন জ্ঞানী মানুষ বাস করতেন যিনি দরিদ্র ছিলেন| কিন্তু তিনি তার জ্ঞান ব্যবহার করে সেই শহরকে রক্ষা করেন| সব কিছু শেষ হয়ে যাওয়ার পর মানুষ সেই দরিদ্র লোকটির কথা ভুলে যায়|
