Jeremiah 10
17 তোমাদের যথাসর্বস্ব নিয়ে চলে যাবার জন্য তৈরী হও| যিহূদার লোকরা তোমরা শহরের মধ্যে বন্দী হয়ে আছো এবং তোমাদের চারিদিকে শএুরা ঘিরে রয়েছে|
18 প্রভু বললেন, “এই বার আমি যিহূদার লোকদের এই দেশের বাইরে বের করে দেব| আমি তাদের কাছে যন্ত্রণা ও অশান্তি আনব| তারা যাতে উচিত্ শিক্ষা পায় তার জন্য আমি এগুলি করব|”
19 হায আমি (যিরমিয়) খুব বাজেভাবে আঘাত পেয়েছি| এই আঘাতে আমি আহত এবং সেরে উঠতে পারব না| তবুও আমি নিজেকে বললাম, “এটা আমার অসুখ এবং এর মধ্যে দিয়েই আমাকে কষ্ট পেতে হবে|”
20 আমার তাঁবু ধ্বংস হয়ে গিয়েছে| তাঁবুর সমস্ত দড়ি ছিন্ন ভিন্ন হয়ে গিয়েছে| আমার সন্তানরা আমায় ত্যাগ করে চলে গিয়েছে| আমার তাঁবু খাটিযে দেবার জন্য কোন লোক নেই| আমাকে স্থায়ী একটা আস্তানা গড়ে দেবার জন্যও কেউ নেই|
21 মেষপালকরা (নেতৃবৃন্দ হল নির্বোধ| তারা প্রভুকে খোঁজার চেষ্টা করেনি| তারা জ্ঞানী নয়, তাই তাদের মেষের পাল বিচ্ছিন্ন হয়ে গেছে এবং হারিযে গিয়েছে|
22 শোন! উত্তর দিকে প্রচণ্ড শোরগোল উঠেছে| একটি সৈন্যবাহিনী যিহূদার শহরগুলিকে ধ্বংস করে দেবে| যিহূদা শূন্য এক মরুভূমিতে পরিণত হবে| সেখানে শুধু শেযাল চরে বেড়াবে|
23 প্রভু, আমি জানি য়ে লোকরা সত্যি সত্যি জানে না কি করে তাদের ভাগ্য নিয়ন্ত্রণ করতে হয়| লোকরা সত্যি সত্যি জানে না কি ভাবে সঠিক পথে জীবনযাপন করতে হয়|
24 প্রভু, আমাদের শোধন করুন, কিন্তু ন্যায়নিষ্ঠ হোন| রোধ আমাদের আর শাস্তি দেবেন না!
17 Gather up thy wares out of the land, O inhabitant of the fortress.
18 For thus saith the Lord, Behold, I will sling out the inhabitants of the land at this once, and will distress them, that they may find it so.
19 Woe is me for my hurt! my wound is grievous: but I said, Truly this is a grief, and I must bear it.
20 My tabernacle is spoiled, and all my cords are broken: my children are gone forth of me, and they are not: there is none to stretch forth my tent any more, and to set up my curtains.
21 For the pastors are become brutish, and have not sought the Lord: therefore they shall not prosper, and all their flocks shall be scattered.
22 Behold, the noise of the bruit is come, and a great commotion out of the north country, to make the cities of Judah desolate, and a den of dragons.
23 O Lord, I know that the way of man is not in himself: it is not in man that walketh to direct his steps.
24 O Lord, correct me, but with judgment; not in thine anger, lest thou bring me to nothing.

O Lord, correct me, but with judgment; not in thine anger, lest thou bring me to nothing.
