এছাড়াও, তোমাকে যদি কেউ জেরুশালেমে ঈশ্বরের মন্দিরের জন্য উপহার দিতে চায় এবং তোমার লোকেদের এবং বাবিলের য়ে কোন প্রদেশে বসবাসকারী যাজকগণ ও লেবীয়দের সব উপহারও তোমাকে সংগ্রহ করে নিয়ে য়েতে হবে|

আমার ঈশ্বর, আমি জানি তুমি মানুষের পরীক্ষা নাও আর যখন কেউ ভাল কিছু করে তুমি আনন্দিত হও| আমার অন্তঃকরণ থেকে এই সমস্ত কিছু আমি তোমায় দান করলাম| আমি দেখতে পাচ্ছি, তোমার ভক্তরা সবাই আজ এখানে জড়ো হয়েছে আর তোমাকে এইসব কিছু দেওয়া হচ্ছে বলে, তারা সকলেই খুবই আনন্দিত|

Ezra 8:25
রাজা অর্তক্ষস্ত, তাঁর উপদেষ্টাগণ, তাঁর প্রধানরা এবং বাবিলের সমস্ত ইস্রায়েলীয়রা সেই উপহারগুলি ঈশ্বরের মন্দিরের জন্য দিলেন| এবং বাবিলের লোকদের কাছ থেকে আমরা সব সোনা এবং রূপো ওজন করে, মন্দিরের কাজের জন্য ঐ বারো জনকে দিলাম|

2 Corinthians 8:12
কারণ দেবার মতো ইচ্ছা থাকলে তবেই তোমাদের দান গ্রাহ্য় হবে, তোমাদের যা আছে সেই ভিত্তিতে দিলেই তোমাদের দান গ্রাহ্য় হবে; তোমাদের যা নেই সেই অনুযাযী নয়৷

প্রত্যেকে নিজের নিজের অন্তরে য়েমন স্থির করেছে, সেই মতোই দান করুক, মনে দুঃখ পেয়ে অথবা জোর করা হয়েছে বলে নয়, কারণ খুশী মনে যাঁরা দেয়, ঈশ্বর তাদের ভালবাসেন৷
